Our country has been encountered with severe economic depression since IMF loan(1997). Korean economic system should be reformed according to the globalization and the world industrial trends based on adavanced technologies and skills. Todays the venture business should be considered to be the alternative of recovering Korean economy and increasing highly estimated values. Generally speaking, the venture business is defined as a new business with high risk-high return with new technical entrepreneurship. This treatise suggests the activating alternatives of the venture business in Korea. These alternatives are suggested as follows. First, several measures to incruit excellent technicians are suggested. These measures includes incruitment of parttime technicians, application of cooperative program of education training unemployees, the stock option system, a stock-sharing plan for the employees, etc. Second, in the financial aspect, activation of the foundation investment company, activation of the COSDAQ market, strengthening of technology security are suggested. Third, in the technical development aspect, amplification of inauguration assistant center, construction of technology accumulative network, etc. These measures will contribute to the development of Korean economy and the welfare of Korean people.
WSN 에서 베이스스테이션을 이용한 계층적 라우팅 프로토콜 최적화

센서노드의 에너지를 절약하는 것은 네트워크 수명을 늘리기 위해 필요하다. 센서의 에너지는 파워를 교체할 수 없기 때문에 매우 중요하다. 에너지를 절약함으로써 네트워크의 자원을 절약하고 더 오랫동안 사용할 수 있다. 이 논문에서는 베이스 스테이션을 활용하여 라우팅 프로토콜을 최적화하기 위한 프로토콜인 BSAH 를 제안하였다. BSAH 는 BeamStar 처럼 베이스스테이션이 안테나의 방향을 고려하여 센서를 나눈다. BSAG 는 PEGASIS 나 CHIRON 보다 25%에서 30% 정도 우수한 성능을 보였다. Preserving energy of sensor node in wireless sensor network is an effort to prolong the lifetime of network. Energy of sensor node is very crucial because battery powered and irreplaceable. Energy conservation of sensor node is an effort to reduce energy consumption in order to preserve resource for network lifetime. It can be achieved through efficient energy usage by reducing consumption of energy or decrease energy usage while achieving a similar outcome. In this paper, we propose optimization of energy efficient base station assisted hierarchical routing protocol in wireless sensor network, named BSAH, which use base station to controlled overhead of sensor node and create clustering to distribute energy dissipation and increase energy efficiency of all sensor node. Main idea of BSAH is based on the concept of BeamStar, which divide sensor node into group by base station uses directional antenna and maximize the computation energy in base station to reduce computational energy in sensor node for conservation of network lifetime. The performance of BSAH compared to PEGASIS and CHIRON based of hierarchical routing protocol. The simulation results show that BSAH achieve 25% and 30% of improvement on network lifetime.
소음 발생원을 고려한 철도 소음진동 데이터 수집 시스템 설계 및 구현

철도로 인한 소음 문제는 최근 국민의 정온한 대한 환경에 권리의식 증대와 삶의 질에 대한 높은 관심으로 철도 소음에 대한 민원이 급중하여 지역 갈등을 초래하고 막대한 사회적 비용 부담으로 철도산업을 저해하는 요소이다. 이에 따라,철로 부근의 진동 및 소음에 대한 모니터링 시스템의 필요성이 증대되고 있으나,레일의 조도상태 및 방진재 사양 등 철도진동소음에 영향을 주는 인자를 충분히 포 함하지 못하고 있으며,측정 및 분석 데이터의 체계적인 관리,축적 구조를 갖지 못하는 문제가 있다. 또한,연구기관의 인위적인 데이터 양식의 사용으로 실용적이고 개방적인 구조를 갖추지 못해 실제 엔지니어링 현장에서 활용하기 어렵다. 이에,본 논문에서는 실제 엔지니어들이 현장에서 취득하는 정보를 체계적이고 지속가능한 형태로 데이터베이스화 하는 일체의 시스템 구축에 대해 논한다.
알코올 중독자 및 장기 입원 환자에서 thiamine 결핍의 빈도

N/A Background: As socioeconomic status has improved, malnutrition has become rare in Korea and generally it is no longer considered as a serious problem in medical practice. However, contrary to the above general belief we managed four patients with beriberi in 1999 and it became apparent that malnutrition might remain a problem in certain groups of patients. In this study, we assessed the nutritional state, especially with respect to thiamine deficiency, in chronic alcoholics and in patients residing at a long-term care facility (LTCF). Methods: Fourteen chronic alcoholic patients and twenty patients being hospitalized in a long-term care facility were assigned as the study groups. The subjects mean ages and standard deviations were 48.9±10.2 and 50.6±6.7, respectively. Medical records were reviewed t o determine other aspect s of their nutritional status and their dietary patterns. Ten peoples who visited the health promotion center at Inha University Hospital, for routine check- ups were allocated to the control group. Blood total thiamine levels were measured by high-performance liquid chromatography. Results: Body mass indices were significantly lower in chronic alcoholics and in patients at the LTCF than in the control group (p=0.0065). Serum albumin levels were within the reference range in all three groups, but were significantly lower in patients at the LT CF than in the control group (p =0.0013). Moreover no difference was detected between the alcoholic group and the control group in terms of thiamine levels. However, the mean thiamine level in patients at the LTCF was statistically lower than that of the control group and four (20%) patients in the LTCF group showed subnormal blood thiamine levels. The thiamine level tended t o decrease with age in both alcoholics and patient s at the LT CF. No correlation was found between thiamine level and the other variables examined, namely, hospital stay, body mass index, and serum albumin level. Conclusion: A consider able portion of patients in a long term care facility showed thiamine deficiency, however, no evidence of thiamine deficiency was found among alcoholics. This result suggest s that thiamine deficiency in patient s at long- term care facility may be more prevalent and that thiamine supplementation may be warranted, especially for those with other thiamine deficiency risk factors.(Korean J Med 62:69-76, 2002)
