대학교수의 학문열정 형성과정 연구: 이공계열 대학교수를 중심으로

본 연구의 목적은 대학교수의 학문열정 형성과정을 살펴봄으로써 학문 분야에서의 전문성 개발 원동력을 규명하는 것이다. 이를 위해 학문열정이 높다고 인정되는 국내 대학교수 17명을 대상으로 심층면담을 실시하여 대학교수의 학문열정과 형성과정, 그리고 형성과정의 특징을 고찰하였다. 연구결과, 대학교수의 학문열정은 ‘생존 열정’과 ‘실현 열정’으로 구분되었다. 생존 열정은 교수 초임기 학계에서 독립된 연구자로서 생존하기 위해 개인 연구에 모든 시간과 에너지를 집중하며, 현재 진행 중인 연구 과정에서의 재미와 기쁨을 만끽하는 특징을 보였다. 반면, 실현 열정은 학계 선구자로 평생의 꿈을 실현하기 위해 끊임없이 학습하며, 높아진 영향력과 명성으로 책임감과 두려움을 느끼는 특징을 보였다. 다음으로, 학문열정은 크게 세 가지 과정에 의해 형성되었다. 첫째, 지적 호기심을 해결하고, 학문적 영향력을 발휘하며, 학계로부터 인정받고자 하는 학문적 욕구를 충족하고자 하는 과정에서 형성되었다. 둘째, 학문활동의 의미를 지속적으로 형성하는 정당화 과정에서 형성되었다. 셋째, ‘연구자’라는 단일한 역할 정체성에서 ‘연구자’와 ‘교육자’의 역할 정체성으로 재구성하는 과정에서 형성되었다. 마지막으로, 대학교수들의 학문열정은 ‘생존 열정’에서 ‘실현 열정’으로 질적으로 변화하며, 주도적으로 형성된다는 특징이 있었다. 본 연구는 학계 최고 전문가인 대학교수의 학문열정 형성과정을 그들의 실제 경험을 분석하여 질적으로 규명하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 이를 통해 전문성 개발 원동력으로서 열정의 형성과정에 대한 이해를 확장할 수 있는 이론적 시사점 및 학계 구성원의 학문열정을 고취할 수 있는 실천적 시사점을 제공할 수 있을 것이다. The purpose of this study is to identify the driver force of professional development in the field of academia by looking at the formation process of scholarly passion of professor. In order to achieve this, in-depth interview was conducted with 17 Korean professors recognized as highly passionate about their studies. According to the study, the scholarly passion of a university professor is divided into "survival passion" and "realization passion". Survival passion has shown the characteristic of focusing all of its time and energy on personal research to survive as an independent researcher in the initial stage. However, realization passion has shown the characteristic of constantly learning to realize a lifelong dream as a forerunner of academia. Next, scholarly passion was formed through three process: the process of satisfying academic needs-solving intellectual curiosity, exerting academic influence, recognition from academia-, the process of justifying academic activities by continuous meaning-making, and the process of reconstructing role identities as teacher and researcher. Finally, two characteristics of scholarly passion process have been identified: a qualitative change from survival passion to realization passion and proactive formation. This study has significance as follows. First, this study qualitatively analyzed the scholarly passion formation process of the several leading experts in academia. Second, this study would provide not only theoretical implications for understanding of the passion formation process as a driving force for professional development but also practical implications for promoting scholarly passion among members of academia.
비판적 HRD 연구동향 분석 : AHRD 발행 학술지 게재논문(2005~2019)을 중심으로

This study has been conducted to explore the current state and the future direction of critical human resource development(Critical HRD) research. Four major characteristics (papers, researchers, research methods and research topics) of the critical HRD have been analyzed by examining critical HRD papers published over the past 15 years in AHRD journals(ADHR, HRDI, HRDQ, and HRDR). The findings are as follows. First, frequency analysis revealed that the number of published papers has been on the rise overall, but they were biased towards specific journals, regions, research methods and topics. Second, according to the year of publication, cross-analysis showed that the biased state tended to continue or strengthen over time. Third, cross-analysis according to the research topics found that the aspect of the journals, regions to which researchers belong, and the research method reflect the characteristics of the research topics. At last, discussions and implications regarding research results were provided.

This study aimed to investigate the relationship between subjective well-being and the frequency of sweetened beverage consumption in adolescents. The 19th Korea Youth Risk Behavior Web-Based Survey was used to analyze the general characteristics, socio-demographic characteristics, oral health behavior, subjective well-being, and frequency of sweetened beverage consumption of middle and high school students. Subjective well-being was reclassified into low, medium, and high and analyzed. In order to identify the relationship between subjective well-being and frequency of sweetened beverage consumption, socio-demographic characteristics, oral health behavior, and frequency of fast food consumption of the study subjects were set as confounding variables and a complex sample logistic regression analysis was performed. The results showed that male students (62.1%) had higher subjective well-being than female students (53.2%), and middle school students (59.6%) had higher subjective well-being than high school students (55.9%). In addition, subjective well-being was higher in cases where parents had high education, subjective economic status, and subjective academic performance ( p<0.05). The group with average and low subjective well-being had a 1.224 and 1.272 times higher risk of consuming sweetened beverages more than 7 times a week than the group with high subjective well-being ( p<0.05). Excessive consumption of sweetened beverages can have negative effects on physical and mental health. Therefore, students’ sweetened beverages should be limited to an appropriate level, and related regulations and educational programs are necessary.

Objectives: This study aimed to measure the knowledge of dental hygienists regarding dental waste, and identify the relationship between general characteristics and infection control characteristics. Methods: This study was conducted using a self-reported questionnaire in 250 dental hygienists. The questionnaire consisted of 21 items: storage container (5 items), storage locations (5 items), storage period (9 items), and storage method (3 items). The collected data were analyzed using the t-test and analysis of variance. Results: The education experience of infection management within the last year was reviewed for significant differences among dental hygienists regarding storage container and storage periods (p<0.05). Statistically significant differences were observed regarding the knowledge of storage container, storage locations, storage period, and storage method among the enrolled dental hygienists (p<0.05). Conclusions: This study examined the necessity of developing conservative education and job education programs to improve the knowledge level of dental hygienists regarding dental waste management.

The contents of functional components in the organically agricultural perilla leaves were compared with the perilla leaves grown in conventional condition. Perilla leaves used in the experiment were purchased or harvested from each three organic farm houses and conventional farm houses in Miryang city. The analyzed components included total phenol, total flavonoid, vitamin C, vitamin E, β-carotene, GABA, caffeic acid, rosmarinic acid, Total N, Zn, Fe, Ca, Mg, Na, K, and P. Organically grown perilla leaves had vitamin E 49% greater than the conventional perilla leaves, and 21% for TN, 29% for Ca, and 73% for Mg, while conventionally grown perilla leaves contained K 16% higher than organic ones. Other components were not showed the differences.
