반응온도 $75^{\circ}C$에서 $Ca(OH)_2$ slurry 및 NaOH의 혼합용액에 $Na_2CO_3$ 수용액의 농도 및 첨가방법을 변화시키면서 아라고나이트 침강성 탄산칼슘의 생성거동을 관찰하였다. 이 반응에서 $Na^+$ 이온은 탄산칼슘 격자내의 $Ca^{2+}$ 이온 자리에 치환되어 칼사이트의 성장을 지연시키고, 특정방향으로의 결정성장이 진행되어 침상형 아라고나이트의 생성을 유리하게 하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한, $CO_3^{2-}$ 이온농도 조절에 의한 반응속도의 감소는 균일침전반응을 유도하고, $Na^+$ 이온의 치환능력을 증대시켜 아라고나이트의 생성 및 성장을 촉진하는 것으로 판단되었다. Formation behavior of aragonite precipitated calcium carbonate was investigated with changed the concentration of $Na_2CO_3$ solution and addition method which added in the $Ca(OH)_2$ slurry at $75^{\circ}C$. In this reaction, we found that $Na^+$ ions were substituted into $Ca^{2+}$ion site then disturb the growth of calcite, and while proceed the crystal growth in a certain direction and promote the formation of aragonite. Also, a decrease of reaction rate by control the concentration of $CO_3^{2-}$ ion, induce the homogeneous precipitate reaction and increase substitution ability of $Na^+$ ions, consequently it was promote the formation and growth of aragonite.
Synthesis of $TiO_2$ Powders by the Hydrolysis of Titanium n-Butoxide and Reaction Mechanism

n-butanol 용매 내에서 titanium n-butoxide의 가수분해 반응에 의하여 $TiO_2$ 분말을 합성하였고, 가수분해 반응 메카니즘은 UV-Vis 분광법에 의하여 조사하였다. 가수분해 반응시 물의 농도를 과량으로 하여 반응이 유사일차반응으로 진행하도록 하였다. 이러한 농도 조건에서 얻어진 분말의 상(phase)을 XRD에 의하여 확인하였으며 반응속도는 Guggenheim method를 이용하여 계산하였다. 합성 결과 얻어진 분말은 생성 초기 비결정 상태에서 열처리 과정을 거치면서 rutile 구조로 상전이 하였다. 속도상수로부터 얻어진 물분자수(n-value)와 열역학적 파라미터로부터 titanium n-butoxide의 가수분해 반응은 Interchange-Associative(Ia)메카니즘으로 진행하는 것으로 추정되었다. $TiO_2$ powders were prepared via hydrolysis of titanium n-butoxide in n-butanol and hydrolysis mechanism of titanium n-butoxide was studied using UV-Vis spectrometer. Hydrolysis reactions were controlled to proceed to pseudo-first order reaction in the presence of excess water. The phases of $TiO_2$ powders, prepared under the these conditions, were identified by XRD and reaction rates were calculated by Gugggenheim method. Prepared powders were noncrystalline states in their initial stage of formation but transformed to crystalline rutile structure by heating. Reaction mechanism of titanium n-butoxide was proposed as Interchange-Associative(Ia) mechanism, based on the data of n-value and termodynamic parameters which were determined from the rate constants.
흰쥐의 일차배양 간세포에서 Daidzin, Daidzein, Genistein 및 Puerarin의 간 보호 활성 평가

The aim of this study was to investigate the protective activities of daidzin, daidzein, genistein or puerarin, active isoflavonoids of Puerariae Radix, on the hepatocyte injury induced by carbon tetrachloride (CCl$_4$, 10 mM), tert-butyl hydroperoxide (TBH, 0.5 mM) and D-galactosamine (GalN, 30 mM). Primary cultures of rat hepatocytes (18 hr cultured) were treated with CCl$_4$, TBH or GalN and various concentrations (0.1, 1, 10 and 100 ${\mu}$M) of daidzin, daidzein, genistein or puerarin. CCl$_4$ significantly increased the levels of lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST). The increase in LDH level was attenuated by daidzein, genistein and puerarin. Puerarin also inhibited the increase in AST level induced by CCl$_4$. The increases in LDH and ALT levels induced by TBH were significantly attenuated by daidzin and genistein treatments. GalN markedly increased the levels of LDH, ALT and AST These increases were significantly attenuated by daidzein. Daidzin also inhibited the increases in LDH and AST levels induced by GalN. The increases in LDH and ALT levels were attenuated by genistein and puerarin, respectively. These results suggest that daidzin and daidzein possess hepatoprotective activities.
반도체 공정중 연속적 산화-HF 식각-염기성 세정과정이 실리콘 기판 표면에 미치는 영향

반도체 세정공정에서 염기성 세정액(SCI, Standard cleaning 1, $NH_{4}$OH + $H_{2}$O_{2}$ + $H_{2}$O)은 공정상 발생되는 여러 오염물 중 파티클의 제거를 위해 널리 사용되고 있는데, SCI 조성중 $NH_{4}$OH양에 따라 세정 중 실리콘의 식각속도를 증가시킨다. 이 연구에서는 SCI 세정이 CZ(Czochralski)와 에피 실리콘 기판 표면에 미치는 영향을 단순세정과 연속적인 산화-HF 식각-SCI 세정공정을 통해 관찰되었다. CZ와 에피 기판을 8$0^{\circ}C$의 1 : 2 : 10과 1 : 1 : 5 SCI 용액에서 60분까지 단순 세정을 했을 때 laser particle scanner와 KLA사의 웨이퍼 검색장치로 측정된 결함의 수는 세정시간에 따라 변화를 보이지 않았다. 그러나 CZ와 에피 기판을 10분간 SCI 세정후 90$0^{\circ}C$에서 산화 HF식각공정을 4번까지 반복하였을 때 에피 기판 표면의 결함수는 감소하는 반면에 CZ기판에서는 직선적으로 증가하였다. 반복적인 산화-HF 식각-XCI 세정공정을 통해 생성된 CZ기판 표면의 결함은 크기가 0.7$\mu$m 이하의 pit과 같은 형상을 보여주었다. 이들 결함은 열처리 중 CZ 기판내와 표면에 산화 석출물들이 형성, 반복적인 HF 식각-SCI 세정공정을 통해 다른 부위에 비해 식각이 빨리 일어나 표면에 생성되는 것으로 여기어 진다.

Purpose: Corneal bee sting is a relatively rare injury. The authors report the significant endothelial changes despite complete resolution of corneal injury after a corneal bee sting. Case summary: Two males, ages 55 and 30, presented to our clinic for unilateral decreased visual acuity and eyeball pain after bee sting injuries. At the first visit, localized corneal stromal edema and epithelial defect were detected. One week after medical treatments, both patients achieved restoration of vision and resolution of corneal injury. In one patient, specular microscopy of the traumatized eye at one and five months showed a significant decrease in endothelial densities as compared with the contralateral eye. Conclusions: Corneal bee sting may cause significant endothelial changes despite complete resolution of clinical symptoms and injury. Specular microscopy should be considered in future intraocular surgeries. J Korean Ophthalmol Soc 2010;51(3):435-439
10세 이후 수술한 간헐외사시 환자의 임상양상 및 결과에 영향을 주는 요인

Purpose: To identify clinical characteristics and preoperative factors that influence the surgical results of an intermittent exotropia patient who underwent lateral rectus recession after the age of 10 years. Methods: A retrospective study was performed based on the medical records of 45 patients who underwent unilateral lateral rectus recession or bilateral lateral rectus recession for intermittent exotropia after the age of 10 years and who had undergone at least three months of postoperative follow-up. The authors investigated the clinical characteristics and factors associated with surgical success according to gender, age at surgery, fusion ability, preoperative angle of deviation, preoperative difference between near and far angles of deviation, vertical deviation, spherical equivalent of refractive error, Randot stereo test and postoperative angle of deviation at one week, one month, and three months. The postoperative deviation change according to the time between groups who underwent surgery before and after 10 years of age for intermittent exotropia was also compared. Results: Surgical success was defined as a final deviation of less than 10 prism diopters. Patients without vertical deviation had a better surgical outcome than did patients with vertical deviation (p=0.022). There was no significant difference in the postoperative deviation changes between groups who underwent surgery for intermittent exotropia before 10 years and after 10 years of age. Conclusions: Among the many preoperative influencing factors, vertical deviation showed a significant difference in postoperative improvement after intermittent exotropia surgery undergone after the age of 10 years. There was no difference in the aspects of surgical success between surgeries for intermittent exotropia before and after the age of 10 years.
