백출(白朮)의 항산화 효과가 DSS 유발 궤양성 대장염 모델에 미치는 영향

Objectives : Although the pharmacological effects of anti-inflammatory and antioxidant action of Atractylodes macrocephala Koidzumi water extract (AM) have been proven from many studies, reports on the antioxidant effect of AM on ulcerative colitis (UC) are scarce. Therefore, we aimed at evaluating the anti-oxidant effect of AM on the DSS-induced UC model. Methods : To induce ulcerative colitis, 8-week-old male Balb/c mice received 5% DSS in drinking water for 1 week. After 1 week of adaptation, mice were divided into four groups (n=8 each) for use as normal (Normal), DSS Control (Control), DSS + AM 100 ㎎/kg (AM100)-treatment, DSS + AM 200 ㎎/kg (AM200)-treatment. After 1 week of the experiment, the animals were sacrificed, and the extracted colon tissue was analyzed for protein through western blot. Results : As a result of confirming the macroscopic changes in colon tissues to confirm the therapeutic effects of AM, the decrease in colon length was suppressed in the AM treatment group compared to the control group. In addition, as a result of biochemical analysis, AM administration significantly reduced serum glutamic oxalacetic transaminase, glutamic pyruvate transaminase levels and tissue malondialdehyde levels. As a result of confirming the protein expression level through western blot, AM administration significantly decreased the expression of NADPH-related proteins such as NOX2, p22<sup>phox</sup>, and iNOS, but significantly increased the expression of SOD, catalase, and GPx-1/2. Conclusions : AM may improve DSS-induced UC in mice by modulating NADPH and antioxidant-related proteins. In conclusion, AM showed an antioxidant effect through the improvement of oxidative stress on UC.

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between the sedentary behavior and cystatin C, blood pressure in obese elderly women. Total of 80 obese elderly women (aged 70.3±O.4 years, mean±SEM; body mass index ≥25㎏/㎡) were analysed in the cross-sectional design. Prior to the blood collection, participants were asked to wear an uniaxial accelerometer for 4 consecutive weeks for the determination of sedentary behavior status. After a 10-h overnight fast, fasting venous blood samples were obtained from each participant. Fasting serum cystatin C concentrations was positively correlated with the sedentary time (r=0.599, P=0.001). The sedentary time was positively correlated with pulse pressure in obese elderly women (r=0.340, P=0.002). Moreover, the sedentary time was positively correlated with plasma insulin concentrations in obese elderly women (r=0.742, P=0.001). This study demonstrates that high amount sedentary time may negatively influences on renal function in obese elderly women. In summary, the current findings of the study suggest that reducing sedentary behavior could have public health implications including the prevention of obesity and blood pressure.

본 논문은 적소이론을 통해 방송시장에서 나타나고 있는 신규매체인 DMB와 IPTV와 디지털케이블TV간 경쟁구도를 분석하기 위해 기존의 선행연구를 통해 도출한 설문항목 20개를 리커드 5점 척도로 대학생 311명을 대상으로 시행한 설문값을 분석하였다. 그 결과 적소폭의 경우 '선택오락'차원에서 IPTV가 가장 높은 값을 가지고 있는 것으로 나타나 가장 이용자를 충족시키는 매체로 나타났다. 적소중복의 경우 '정보습득'이 DMB와 디지털케이블TV간에 상대적으로 낮은 값을 보임에 따라 이러한 동기를 가진 수용자들은 높은 경쟁구도로 발전됨을 보였다. 한편 '선택오락'차원에서 DMB와 디지털케이블TV간 적소중복 값이 높아서 편의성, 선택가능성의 동기를 가지는 수용자 간에 경쟁강도가 낮을 것으로 판단된다. 마지막으로 경쟁우월성의 경우 IPTV가 디지털케이블TV에 비해 '선택오락', '친교', '정보습득' 차원에서 우월한 것으로 나타났다. In this paper, we analyze the user survey results with the theory of Niche to study the media competition such as, IPTV, Digital CableTV, DMB, Mobile IPTV. The user survey was conducted with twenty questions from proceeding research papers on 311 university students. As a result, niche breadth of IPTV in 'the entertainment choice' was the highest, which said that IPTV satisfies users the best among all four media. niche breadth of Mobile IPTV was higher than DMB, which said that Mobile IPTV may be more preferred than DMB. The niche overlap of IPTV and Digital cable TV in 'habitual watching' was the lowest which said that IPTV and Digita cable TV would not be competitive in habitual watchers' market. In 'the entertainment choice' aspect, the niche overlap of DMB and Mobile IPTV was quite high, which said that DMB and Mobile IPTV would be competitive in the market of consumers who prefer convenient media choice. In the competitive superiority aspect, IPTV was superior than Digita lcable TV in the aspects of 'entertainment choice', 'sociality', 'information', and Mobile IPTV was superior than DMB in the same aspects but other two aspects.
배터리 모듈 냉각 플레이트의 냉각 성능 예측을 위한 비정상 전산유동해석 및 실험적 연구

전기에너지를 사용하는 친환경자동차에서는 리튬 이온 배터리가 주로 사용되고 있으며 별도의 냉각 장치를 필수적으로 설치하여야 한다. 본 논문에서는 냉각 플레이트를 이용한 수랭식 냉각방식을 연구하였다. 냉각 플레이트의 냉각 성능을 향상시키기 위해 내부 유로 형상을 개선하였고 전산유동해석을 통해 성능을 예측하였다. 실험 결과와 비교를 위해 비정상 유동해석을 진행하였고 냉각 성능 비교는 입·출구 온도 차를 이용한 방열량을 계산하여 비교하였다. 전산해석을 통해 개선된 유로 형상이 11.47% 더 높은 방열량을 예측하였다. 실험을 통해 냉각 플레이트의 성능을 측정하고 전산해석 결과를 검증하였다. 실험 결과 11.86%의 더 높은 방열량을 나타냈으며 전산유동해석과 5% 이내의 오차를 보였다. Electric vehicles mainly use lithium-ion batteries, and a cooling system must be installed in them. In this study, a water-cooling system that uses a cooling plate was studied. The shape of the internal flow path was improved to enhance the performance of the cooling plate; the performance was predicted using computational flow analysis. Unsteady flow analysis was performed to compare the experimental results, and the cooling performances were compared by calculating the amounts of rejected heat using the inlet and outlet temperature differences. The improved flow-path shape showed an 11.47 times higher amount of rejected heat. The performance of the cooling plate was also measured through an experiment, and the computational analysis result was verified. An 11.86 times higher amount of rejected heat and an error within 5% were obtained in the computational flow analysis.

This paper presents a new approach to control the position of robot arm in workspace a robot manipulator under unknown system parameters and bounded disturbance inputs. To control the motion of the manipulator, an inverse dynamics control scheme was applied. Since parameters of the robot arm such as mass and inertia are not perfectly known, the difference between the actual and estimated parameters was considered as a external disturbance force. To identify the known parameters, an improved robust control algorithm is directly derived from the Lyapunov’s Second Method. A robust control algorithm is devised to counteract the bounded disturbance inputs such as contact forces and disturbing forces coming from the difference between the actual and the estimated system parameters. Numerical examples are shown using SCARA arm with four joints.

We have analyzed the biomechanical characteristics of cervical spine after total disc replacement using finite element analysis. A finite element model of C2-C7 spinal motion segment was developed and validated by other experimental studies. Two types of artificial discs, semi-constraint and un-constraint, were inserted at C6-C7 segments. Inferior plane of C7 vertebra was fixed and 1Nm of moment were applied on superior plane of C2 vertebra with 50N of compressive load along follower load direction. Mobility of the cervical spine in which each artificial disc inserted was higher than that of intact one in all loading conditions. Also, high mobility at the surgical level after total disc replacement could lead higher facet joint force and ligaments axial stresses. The results of present study could be used to evaluate surgical option and validate the biomechanical characteristics of the implant in total disc replacement in cervical spine.
