A series of Perovskite-type compounds La_(1-x)Sr_xMnO_3 were synthesized for the cathode material of high-temperature solid oxide electrolyte fuel cell. The electrical and mechanical properties of these material were examined at high temperature in an atmospheric environment. Measured electrical conductivity was 1.52 s/cm and thermal expansion coefficient was 11.48 for La_0.8Sr_0.2MnO_3.
Growth Processes and Morphological Evolution of Polyaniline Film During Potentiostatic Growth

We have investigated the potentiostatic growth processes and morphological evolution of polyaniline film on an indium tin oxide (ITO) electrode. The current-time transient shows the existence of three stages in two growth regimes. As the initial formation of polyaniline is extremely fast, the current increases rapidly with time. Subsequently, the current increase is slowed down due to the decomposition reaction competes with polymerization. Polyaniline film grown rapidly on a bare ITO electrode shows a compact two-dimensional layer with a granular structure. The granules start to grow upward on the first layer, with one-dimensional growth resulting in a loosely bound and open fibrous structure. Further polymer film growth results in surface aggregates due to the increased degradation rate. Visualization of the surface morphology and the roughness of the grown film are consistent with the proposed growth processes.

Alumina(Al_2O_3) MF membrane were prepared by sol-gel process and their gas permeabilities were characterized. Alumina MF membrane with average pore diameter about 0.15㎛ and tubular shape was used as a support. The permeability ratio measurements of helium and nitrogen gas was 2.5.

여러 가지 산화상태의 폴리아닐린을 화학적으로 합성하여 FT-IR, UV-Vis, GPC, TG-DTA로 측성 분석하였다. ITO 기관위에 다양한 산화상태의 LEB-PAN/NMP 용액으로 스핀코팅하고, AI 전극을 진공증착하여 단일층 발광다이오드를 제작하고 I-V 특성과 EL 스팩트럼에서 완전환원형인 LEB 함량이 증가할수록 ${\pi}$-${\pi}$* 전이의 장파장이동과 분자 엑시톤 전이 세기가 감소하고 PL과 EL 세기가 증가하는 것을 확인하였다. ITO/LEB/AI 구조의 LED에서 작동 전압은 5V 이었다. 백색광은 단지 폴리아닐린의 환원형 구조에서만 발광하는 것을 확인하였다. Various oxidation states of Polyaniline(PANI) were chemically synthesized, and characterized by FT-IR, UV-Vis, GPC, TG-DTA, Single layer light emitting diodes(LED) were perpared by spin coating of LEB-PANI solutions which have various oxidation states onto an ITO substrate and subsequent vacuum deposition of aluminum top electrode and then current-voltage characteristics. EL spectrum was investigated It was found that ${\pi}$-${\pi}$* transition were shifled to longer wavelength and molecular excition transition were decreased in the UV-Vis spectra and the intensity of EL and PL were increased as the contents of fully reduced form LEB increased. The turn-on voltage of ITO/LEB/AI structured LED was 5 V. It was found that the white light was emitted only from the phase with reduced epeat unit.

The purpose of this study was to investigate how proliferation and apoptosis in human leukemia U937 cells are affected by four hydroxycinnamic acid derivatives (HCADs) in corn (Zea mays L.) bran: p-coumaric (CA), ferulic acids (FA), dicoumaroylputrescine (DCP), and diferuloylputrescine (DFP). Of the four HCADs, DFP dose dependently exerted the strongest cytotoxic effect and induction of apoptosis in the U937 cells. In addition, DFP induced distinct morphological changes characteristic of cellular apoptosis, such as chromatin condensation, apoptotic bodies, and DNA fragmentations. The DFP-induced apoptosis was also associated with released cytochrome c in the cytosol with activation of caspase 3, together with the downregulation of anti-apoptotic proteins, including XIAP and cIAP2, Bcl-2, and Mcl-1. Finally, the DFP-induced apoptosis was a cell-specific response in leukemia cells, as compared with those of other cancer cells, such as Caki, HT29, SKHep1, and MDA-MB231. Thus, these results suggest that DFP may be useful as a potential source of natural antileukemic agents.
A Comparative Study of Potentiodynamic and Potentiostatic Modes in the Deposition of Polyaniline

The electrodeposition of polyaniline films was performed under potentiodynamic and potentiostatic conditions. Cyclic voltammetry shows that the redox electrochemical behavior changed from quasi-reversible to totally irreversible with increasing aniline concentration. In terms of the kinetics of the nucleation and growth processes in the potentiostatic deposition mode, progressive nucleation with two-dimensional growth is predominant, followed by one-dimensional growth leading to the formation of a fibrous structure. The overall polymer growth rates and the morphology of polymer surfaces are very different depending on the deposition method. The morphology associated with the kinetics is correlated with those experimentally determined by scanning electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy. Conductivity of the potentiostatically grown film is lower than the one potentiodynamically grown. The observed decrease in conductivity appears to be linked to a decrease in the charge carrier mobility due to the agglomerated structures that are formed during secondary growth.

Metco 40㎾ Plasma Spray station is used to prepare YSZ electrolyte for SOFC unit cell. Spray conditions are Powder Feed Rate 120FMR, Spray Distance 6㎝ and 40㎛ Tosoh YSZ powder. Gas Permeability 0.0002 darcy, Ion conductivity 7.14×10^(-2)S/㎝ and Thickness 90㎛ is measured.
전해 석출된 polyaniline 필름의 구조적, 전기화학적, 모폴로지 특성에 미치는 도펀트 효과

Electrodeposition of polyaniline (PAni) films doped with (+)-camphorsulfonic acid (CSA) or hydrochloric acid (HCl) was performed by the potentiodynamic method. The effects of dopants on the structural, electrochemical, and morphological properties of the PAni were investigated. Conducting emeraldine salt formation was confirmed with UV-Vis and FT-IR spectroscopy. The formation of chiral PAni was confirmed by circular dichroism. XRD results show that PAni doped with (+)-CSA obviously improved crystallinity. In a doped film with large anion (+)-CSA, porous helical structure is observed while PAni doped film with smaller anion Cl- appears as more compact and homogeneous. The (+)-CSA doped PAni film exhibited higher conductivity and lower sheet resistance than did the HCl doped film. Helical conformation structure of the polymer influenced crystallinity and morphology, thus determining the electrochemical behavior of (+)-CSA doped PAni.
