        레딩스(B. Readings)의 ‘수월성(excellence) 대학 담론’에 대한 비판적 논의

        Although modern universities aimed to cultivate the citizens of the nation-state by studying and teaching the culture, today's universities have undergone a great change due to influences of capitalism beyond the control of the nation-state. Among the discourses that debate current universities from various viewpoints, Readings’ book The University in Ruins, which has expanded the view of university discourse around the concept of excellence applied as an ideological mark in current universities, is regarded as one of the most important texts. As a result of the economic globalization and the decline of the nation-state which is the basis of capitalist reproduction, the university becomes a transnational bureaucratic corporation and traditional humanities or cultures have moved from the center of universities to the edge. However, because of the non-referential concept of excellence, the university has escaped from ideology, but that concept has enabled the university to operate unconsciously in compliance with capitalism. On the other hand, Readings failed to make a strong criticism on the university of excellence because he admitted the fact that economic logic should be a priority. In addition, despite the fact that university is an educational institute, there was no discourse on excellence related to education in Readings’ discourse on universities. Therefore, Readings’ proposal, ‘the true thinking by staying at the ruins of university’ may remain in debatable question.

        Epidermis of building becomes target of design as component of space, as no more secondary element of space in modern society which is governed by speed and image. Especially, epidermis design in interior space enables users to communicate more smoothly with space by providing various narrative as it provides abundant visual perception experiences Patterns mean regular shape or form or type. In other words, it means design which appears repetitive regular shape. Patterns are important design elements in fashion and textile design, also modern space designers are using fully patterns on surface of building. As interior surface design element, pattern becomes one of components of space through supplementation in lack of space building, communication method between space and users, beyond just simple decoration. Through case studies, we can know, patterns in interior space are used two-dimensional and three-dimensional way, come out visual type like "objectization", "spacization", "framization".

        푸코의 에피스테메(episteme) 구분에 따른 코메니우스『세계도회』의 유형 분석

        In his book The Order of Things (Les Mots et les choses)(1966) M. Foucault defined ‘episteme’ as a ‘transcendental condition’ of thought history or as an ‘order of discourse`` whose object extracts the disciplinary domain or knowledge in the certain epoch. The episteme has a discontinuous characteristic as far as it is a ‘unconscious fundament`` which gives world of things an order in a particular way. On a basis of such a definition Foucault assorts the periods of European thought history as Renaissance, classical, and modern. This article tries to analyze Comenius`` Orbis Sensualium Pictus(1631) on the basis of episteme typology of Foucault. There can be two possibilities of its analysis: One is an interpretative mode that the Comenius`` book would reflect the one of representation as the typical episteme in the classical epoch, and the other interpretation shows that his work would have the transitional characteristic from the Renaissance into the classical. The ground for the representation episteme in the classical epoch lies in the fact that the description method of 150 categories represented through things would intend to correspond between words and things. On the other hand the stereotyping as the transitional episteme is grounded upon the fact that the cosmological picture consisting of Comenius`` pansophism shows the world order based upon the analogous correspondent relationship between language and things, as well as moves into the space of representation, in which the transition into the symbol such as language detached from things comes out. Especially in order to discuss the possibility of transitional stereotyping, this paper examined the several advanced researches from Japanese community of pedagogy.

        일제 강점기 공민과 도입시기 전후 조선의 `공민교육(公民敎育)` 의미 변용에 관한 개념사 연구

        This is conceptual history research on the transformation of the meanings of the concept of `civic education` as `Japanese civic education` established after the Meiji Restoration was transplanted to the colonial Joseon dynasty, and on the changes of the concept of civic education in the political conditions of Joeson dynasty. For this, the research methodology of Reinhart Koselleck and the semantic field of Rolf Lehrhart are used. Current civic education of Korea began with the modern education that was transplanted in the Japanese colonial period. The normative meaning of civic education lies in the development of democratic citizens based on the doctrine of the national sovereignty, but in reality it places greater emphasis on cultivating the citizens loyal to the political and social ideology of the nation. In this way, the civic education reflects the social values pursued in the varying political environments, and the civic education of Korea also has seen the significant modification of its meanings with the political conditions of the modern society. Especially, the education of citizens in the mainland of Japan, which was affected by the Taisho Democracy, largely accepted the notion of libertarian citizens, while civic education transplanted to the colonial Joseon dynasty reflected the colonial policy. However, attention should be paid to the fact that in the civic education of the colonial Joseon was found the ideal concept of national sovereignty, unlike the intention of the colonial rule. The concept of civic education of the time had both the aspect of `time-shaping` by way of autonomously anticipating the future meaning of civic education on the basis of the ideal meaning of citizens, and the aspect of `idealization` that autonomously structured civic education stood in conflict with the institutional civic education.

        독일 교원양성체제의 역사적 전개와 시사점 -계몽주의에서 20세기 후반까지-

        There have already been many articles which have covered a subject of the German teachers` training system from the comparative-educational viewpoints. Their perspectives are so various from the teachers` training system in the different school types to the particular topics such as teachers` training in the special education and teachers` training according to subjects. In addition, there have been not a little researches to investigate the historical origin of the German teachers` training system. On the contrary it is more or less interesting that the general-historical researches are uncommon. But it has reasonable grounds: the delayed national unification in Germany and a deep gap between the German states(Bundeslaner). For this reason this article aims at a general-historical approach to the teachers` training system in Germany from the enlightenment to the second half of the 20th century. The enlightenment in the late of the 18th century is the proper starting point, as it sent out a signal that the institutionalized school system in the dimension of the school organization originated the evolutional process of the system formation in earnest. The early of the 21th century was excluded from the analysis of this paper, as it requires an additional research. In particular, this period gives a rich demonstration of the generalization tendency of so-called new liberalism and the standardization one of the ``Bologna process``. This article describes the teachers` training system, and gives attentions to the schoolmistress training and the privileged status of the gymnasium teachers. The singular points of German teachers` training system are that the training process of elementary and gymnasium teacher have been differentiated considerably, and that the role of pedagogy in the training process have been defined very differently according to the epoches.

        소아 수모세포종 환자의 인지 기능

        Objectives:To investigate the cognitive functions of pediatric cancer patients and to test the hypotheses that the impairment of processing speed and working memory are more prevalent in children with medulloblastoma (MBL) compared to children with neuroblastoma (NBL). Methods:We gave the Korean version of the Wechsler Intelligent Scale for Children-III to 21 children with MBL and 24 children with NBL during outpatient follow-up after the treatment was completed. Results:Children with MBL showed below average performance across most of the sub-tests. The full scale IQ, verbal IQ, and performance IQ of children with MBL were significantly lower than those of children with NBL. There were significant differences between two groups in coding and Digit Span subtest scores. Children with MBL performed especially poorly in the coding subtest. Conclusion:These findings support previous reports of generally low IQ and the dysfunction of processing speed and working memory among children with MBL, a kind of central nervous system tumor. Further investigation is needed to determine how the deficit of processing speed and working memory affect neurocognitive development and general intelligent functions.

        약용식물 추출물 급여가 닭 다리육의 항산화 기능에 미치는 영향

        항균 및 항산화 활성을 갖는 약용식물 추출물을 육계에 급여하는 과정에서 약용식물이 갖는 항산화 활성이 계육에 전이될 수 있는가를 확인하기 위하여 다리육을 냉장 저장하면서 항산화 활성과 관능적 특성 변화를 조사하였다. 약용식물 추출물을 0.3%와 1%로 첨가한 사료를 급여시킨 육계의 다리육에서 수분, 조단백질, 조지방 및 조회분의 함량은 차이를 보이지 않았으나, 다리육의 총 페놀 함량을 측정한 결과 처리구가 대조구에 비해 유의적으로 높았으며, 0.3과 1.0% 처리구간 차이는 발견되지 않았다. 닭 다리육의 DPPH 라디칼 소거능은 0.3% 및 1.0% 약용식물 추출물 첨가군에서 대조군보다 약간 높은 라디칼 소거능을 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 TBARS 값은 0.3% 및 1.0% 첨가군의 경우에는 대조군에 비하여 약간 높은 TBARS 값으로 시작하였으나 저장기간에 따른 변화를 보면 대조군에 비해서는 다소 낮은 TBARS 값을 유지하는 것으로 나타났다. 관능검사 결과를 보면 저장 7일 이후에 색, 맛, 냄새 그리고 종합적 기호도에서 약용식물 첨가군이 대조군에 비하여 다소 높은 관능점수를 얻어 계육의 저장 중 산화적 변질이 급여한 약용식물 추출물에 의해 감소되는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. This study was performed to investigate the effect of dietary medicinal herb extract mix (MHEM, mulberry leaf : Japanese honeysuckle : goldthread=48.5:48.5:3.0) on antioxidative activity of chicken thigh meat. The dietary treatments consisted of a corn-soybean meal basal diet (control), basal diet with 0.3% and 1% MHEM. At the end of the feeding trial, thigh meat samples were collected and stored in a refrigerator at 4oC to be analyzed on day 0, 3, 7 and 14. The MHEM did not affect proximate composition of the thigh meat. Total phenol contents of the thigh meats in treatment groups were higher than that of the control (p<0.05). 1,1-Diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl radical scavenging activity were higher in dietary treatment group. 2-Thiobarbituric acid reactive substances values of the treatment group were lower than that of control at day 7 and 14 and the added level also affected the inhibition of lipid oxidation of thigh meat. In sensory test, panelists preferred treatment group at day 7 and 14. Therefore, results indicate that dietary MHEM added to chicken may retard the oxidative deterioration of chicken thigh meat during cold storage.
