Recent Trends on Smart City Security: A Comprehensive Overview

The expansion of smart cities drives the growth of data generated from sensor devices, benefitting citizens withenhanced governance, intelligent decision-making, optimized and sustainable management of availableresources. The exposure of user data during its collection from sensors, storage in databases, and processing byartificial intelligence-based solutions presents significant security and privacy challenges. In this paper, weinvestigate the various threats and attacks affecting the growth of future smart cities and discuss the availablecountermeasures using artificial intelligence and blockchain-based solutions. Open challenges in existingliterature due to the lack of countermeasures against quantum-inspired attacks are discussed, focusing on postquantumsecurity solutions for resource-constrained sensor devices. Additionally, we discuss future researchand challenges for the growing smart city environment and suggest possible solutions.

대구지역 안면골 골절의 임상역학적 연구

Purpose: There are many reports about facial bone fractures, but limited to retrospective data of a single hospital. Etiology and severity of the facial bone fracture have been changed and treatment method and materials have been advanced. In order to reflect those changes and provide up-to-date data of the facial bone fractures in Daegu, we gathered the data and analyzed the epidemiologic study. Methods: The medical records of 1058 fractures in 895 patients were gathered from 5 general hospitals in Daegu during last year and these data were analyzed by following parameters: age, sex, place of residence, occupation, cause of injury, time of injury, location of fracture, length of in-hospital stay, time of operation, treatment method, associated injury, complication. Statistical analysis was performed using the Chi-square test. Results: Most commonly involved age group was 20s(26%) and the sex ratio was 3.4:1(male predominance). Fractures were occurred more in unban and white-color workers. Among variable etiology of injury, traffic accident was the most common cause. Time of injury was heighest at 6 to 7 P.M., on Sunday, in July. Locations of fractures were following sequence: nasal, zygoma, mandible, orbit, maxilla. Mean length of in- hospital stay and time of operation after injury were 6.3 and 3.2 days, respectively. In treatment methods, operative methods were dominant than conservative management and general anesthesia were favored than local anesthesia. Associated injuries were noticed in 188 cases(21.2%) and complications were in 94 cases(8.9%) and among them, ocular problem were common. Conclusion: Compared to previous studies, mean age of occurrence was lowered and the etiologies showed age-specific pattern and reflected the change of lifestyle. In young age groups, sports injury, violence were more dominant and the other hand, traffic accident and fall were dominant in older groups.

First record of the red clingfish, Pherallodus indicus (Gobiesociformes: Gobiesocidae) from Jeju Island, Korea

A single specimen of Pherallodus indicus was collected for the first time from a tidal pool on the eastern coast of Jeju Island, Korea, in June 2017. This species is characterized by the division of the sucking disc formed from the pelvic fin into two portions, a lower jaw without mandibular canal pores, a head without preopercular canal pores, and eight dorsal and seven anal fin rays. The newly proposed Korean name for Pherallodus is “Eol-ruk-hak-chi-sok”, and the species name is “Eol-ruk-hak-chi”.

Asymbiotic seed germination and in vitro propagation condition in Calanthe discolor Lindl

We investigated the effects of sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) and culture medium on embryo swelling and germination of Calanthe discolor Lindl., and established a method for determining the swelling and protocorm formation of C. discolor seeds via in vitro examination of immature seeds. Treatment of immature seeds with NaOCl greatly enhanced the extent of embryo swelling and protocorm formation of immature zygote embryos compared to seeds without NaOCl treatment. The effects of the culture media were also evaluated with regard to embryo swelling and protocorm formation of in vitro cultured seeds with and without NaOCl treatment. Additionally, the effects of white fluorescent light and red and blue LEDs lights on seedling growth in in vitro culture were examined. The most suitable condition for seedling growth after 12 weeks of culture was the red LEDs light with POM medium. These results show effective asymbiotic germination and growth of C. discolor.

좀나도히초미(Polystichum braunii (Spenn.) Fée) 포자체 증식을 위한 기내 포자 발아와 전엽체 배양 조건

This study was conducted to investigate the optimal conditions for spore germination, prothallus propagation, sporophyte formation, and seedling growth in Polystichum braunii (Spenn.) Fée. The rate of spore germination and early prothalium development was high in Knop (41.2%), which had low mineral content. The optimal medium for prothallus propagation and sexual organ formation was 2MS medium (2% sucrose). Among the various mixtures of cultivation soil (bedding soil, peat moss, perlite, and decomposed granite), a mixture of bedding soil and decomposed granite at a ratio of 2:1 (v:v) had a positive effect on sporophyte formation (276.3 ea/7.5 m2). The most efficient conditions for promoting the growth of sporophytes were pots filled with only bedding soil.

This study was carried out to find culture materials (explant parts) and medium components (medium type, sucrose and NaH2PO4 concentration) for in vitro propagation of Osmunda cinnamomea var. forkiensis sporophyte. The results of study: chopped segments of leaf blades, stipes, rhizomes and roots were cultured on a 1/2MS medium supplemented with 0.1% activated charcoal. Among these explant types, only the rhizome segments produced young sporophyte, regenerating vigorously on a 1/8MS medium. Adjusting the sucrose concentration to 2% and supplement to 50 mg・L-1 NaH2PO4 in the 1/8MS medium proved to be more efficient for plant regeneration. Consequently, the addition of 0.1% activated charcoal to a modified 1/8MS medium (2% sucrose, 50 mg・L-1 NaH2PO4, pH 5.8 and 0.8% agar) yielded the highest sporophyte regeneration.

This study is designed to reconstruct phonology of the Yinsheng rimes[陰聲韻] which is reflected in the Sound Glosses of Xu Miao[徐邈], a scholar of the East Jin[東晉]. His sound glosses are recorded in the Jingdian Shiwen[≪經典釋文≫], which was compiled by Lu De Ming[陸德明] along with the collections of semantic and sound glosses of a number of other exegetists. Xu’s sound glosses are composed of either the direct phonetic notaions[直音] or the fanqie spellings[反切注音]. It is significant to carry out this study in that the Xu’s glosses reflect phonology of a specific transitional period palced between Old Chinese and Middle Chinese, and consequently his system provides us with valuable clues to understanding the trends of sound changes which had taken place during the time between the two main periods, This study reveals the following results: The 2nd grade and the chongniu doublet medial –r- had been preserved; the he kou medial –w- had been formed; varieties of the 3rd grade medials, which are responsible for vowel fronting and/or raising, had also been formed; post-codas such as -l, -ɡ of *-ɡs and -d of *ds had been completely lost or turned into the –j ending; most of MC yinsheng categories had been formed as of his time, but there is also some room for future minor phonological changes in several rimes such as: hai rime[咍韻], hui rime[灰韻], jie rime[皆韻], wei rime[微韻], ge rime[歌韻], ge rime[戈韻]; his phonology of yinsheng rimes is interpreted to have, in some degree, advanced from that of Guo Pu[郭璞], whose birth year is 67 years earlier than Xu’s.

머신러닝 기반 한국 경찰 자살 생각 위험요인 탐색: 랜덤포레스트를 중심으로

Current study is conducted to explore about risk factor of Korean police suicide. We explore variables predicting chronic (over 1 year) and acute (under 1 year) suicidal thought. 2948 police officer were encuired about suicidal thought and variables affecting that, and these data were analysed with random forest method with machine learning. We try to explore variables which affect suicidal thought and to construct model predicting that. According to result, both two types of model have good predict power. More specifically, top 5 variables affecting suicidal over 1 year are ATTS, LIBT, department, MBI, drinking frequency and affecting suicidal undet 1 year are mental health, ATTS, happiness, LIBT, department. This study propose direction of intervention and prevention for police suicide in Korea based on analysis.
