        한국어 저절로 피동 구문의 반사동적 특징

        The aim of the study is to examine similarities and differences of the ‘passive-by itself’ construction that expressed ‘being damaged’ by spontaneous situation among several types of Korean passive construction and anticausative construction that mentioned in language typology, to get to know ‘passive-by itself’ construction has anticausative feature. Korean ‘passive-by itself’ construction has a lot in common morphologically․syntactically․semantically with anticausative construction of Indo-European, it unites in points that there is particularly no agent in sentence and it shows that event which happened spontaneously. Unlike anticausative construction ; however, cannot imply agent syntactically and semantically, there is able to ambiguous constructions that imply agent in Korean ‘passive-by itself’ construction. This study shows the reason why Korean ‘passive-by itself’ construction is expressed by passive verb and anticausative construction of Indo-European is expressed by reflexive. In addition, this study distinguished with ‘passive-by itself’ construction by applying ambiguous construction. There are a lot of ambiguous construction in Korean. When we make sentences that depend on context, we have to consider whether the agent should be places or not in order to subject constraint in connection with animacy hierarchy. Furthermore, referring to semantic map and semantic model of Hapelmath(1987), this study suggests meaning of Korean passive verb and Indo-European reflexive. While Indo-European reflexive has each meaning by sequential derivation, Korean passive verb shows phenomenon that meaning changed according to cause material each in a ’passive’ category.

        Objective: A case report on the Leukopenia Patients Using Ortho-Cellular Nutrition Therapy (OCNT)Methods: A Korean female in her 50s suffering from the rare side effect of leukopenia after taking athlete's foot medicine (Terbinafine HCl)Results: The results revealed that the white blood cell count, which had dropped before the OCNT, had improved to a normal level. Conclusion: The application of the OCNT can help change health-related figures in patients with relevant problems.

        Serum Calcium and the Risk of Incident Metabolic Syndrome: A 4.3-Year Retrospective Longitudinal Study

        Background: An association between serum calcium level and risk of metabolic syndrome (MetS) has been suggested in crosssectional studies. This study aimed to evaluate the association between baseline serum calcium level and risk of incident MetS in a longitudinal study. Methods: We conducted a retrospective longitudinal study of 12,706 participants without MetS who participated in a health screening program, had normal range serum calcium level at baseline (mean age, 51 years), and were followed up for 4.3 years (18,925 person-years). The risk of developing MetS was analyzed according to the baseline serum calcium levels. Results: A total of 3,448 incident cases (27.1%) of MetS developed during the follow-up period. The hazard ratio (HR) for incident MetS did not increase with increasing tertile of serum calcium level in an age- and sex-matched model (P for trend=0.915). The HRs (95% confidence interval [CI]) for incident MetS comparing the second and the third tertiles to the first tertile of baseline serum calcium level were 0.91 (95% CI, 0.84 to 0.99) and 0.85 (95% CI, 0.78 to 0.92) in a fully adjusted model, respectively (P for trend=0.001). A decreased risk of incident MetS in higher tertiles of serum calcium level was observed in subjects with central obesity and/or a metabolically unhealthy state at baseline. Conclusion: There was no positive correlation between baseline serum calcium levels and incident risk of MetS in this longitudinal study. There was an association between higher serum calcium levels and decreased incident MetS in individuals with central obesity or two components of MetS at baseline.

        Soft Agar Assay를 이용한 배양골조직과 골세포의 Transforming Growth Factor-β유리에 관한 연구

        To study the effect of PTH, osteotropic hormone, on the TGF-β activity in conditioned medium prepared from bone explants, fetal rat ulnae and radii were removed at 19-day of gestation and organ cultured for 24 hours. Then media were changed with fresh BGJb media for control group or PTH-supplemented media (50 or 200 ng/㎖) for experimental group respectively and conditioned media were prepared by 2-day culture of explants. To study the cellular orgin of matrix-associatied TGF-β and the effect of PTH on the TGF-β activity in conditioned media prepared from bone cells, five bone cell populations were prepared from fetal rat calvaria by sequential enzyme digestion. After primary culture, each bone cell population was collected and resuspended as Ⅰ-Ⅱ, Ⅲ and Ⅳ-Ⅴ groups. After 24 hours, media were changed with fresh minimum essential medium(MEM) or 600 ng/㎖ PTH-supplemented media and conditioned media were prepared by 2-day culture. For activation of latent TGF-β activity in bone cell-conditioned media, media were acidified and then neutralized. TGF-β activities of conditioned media were measured by anchorage-independent growth of NRK fibroblasts using modified Todaro soft agar assay method(1987) and the number of colonies ≥ 50 ㎛ was counted. The observed results were as follows. 1. TGF-β, without 2 ng/㎖ EGF, did not induce colony formation in soft agar suspensions. 2. With 2 ng/㎖ EGF, TGF-β induced NRK cells to form large colonies in soft agar suspensions and colony numbers increased proportionally to TGF-β concentrations from 50 pg/㎖ to 1600 pg/㎖. 3. When ulnae and radii were incubated with 50 ng/㎖ PTH, TGF-β activity in conditioned media was not significantly different from control conditioned media. In contrast, TGF-β activity in conditioned media prepared from culture with supplementation of 200 ng/㎖ PTH, was significantly increased(p < 0.01). 4. TGF-β activity was detectable in all bone cell populations and the amount was not significantly different between cell populations. 5. When bone cell populations were incubated with 600 ng/㎖ PTH. TGF-β activity in conditioned media from each population was not significantly different from control conditioned media. These results suggest that all cell populations isolated from calvaria synthesize TGF-β and PTH has no apparent effects on the TGF-β production of bone cell populations. In addition, increased TGF-β activity in bone explant conditioned media by 200 ng/㎖ PTH appears to be due to the enhanced release of TGF-β from bone matrix secondary to bone resorptive process.

        RSM을 이용한 홍게 (Chionoecefes japonicus) 자숙부산물의 최적 효소가수분해 조건

        This study was performed to determine the optimal hydrolysis conditions for the production of a flavoring from the precipitation of snow crab cooker effluent (PSCCE) with commercial proteases. Based on cost-per-enzyme activity and sensory evaluations, Flavourzyme(R) 500 MG plus Protamex(R) (1:1 ratio, w/w) were selected as suitable enzymes. Three independent variables consisting of the substrate concentration (S), enzyme-to-substrate ratio (E/S), and hydrolysis time (T) were examined using response surface methodology (RSM). A model equation obtained from RSM was used to predict the degree of hydrolysis (DH) as follows: % DH = 52.285 - 6.371[S] + 5.469[E/S] + 7.599[T] - 5.818[S](2)- 5.633[E/S](2) - 6.528[T](2) - 3.265[E/S][S] - 5.415[T][S] + 4.315[T1[E/S]. From the ridge analysis, the conditions favoring the highest degree of hydrolysis were pH 7.45, 55℃, a S of 21.82%, an E/S of 0.50%, and a T of 3.74 h.

        피,사동 접미사에 관한 통사,의미적 고찰

        The aim of this study is to investigate passive·causative suffix ‘-li-’ used in ergative verbs ‘ulida, nalida’ are polysemy. So far discussion is little for grasping semantically passive form and causative form of ergative verbs, mostly they were dealt with in syntactic aspect. Before this, the discussion about what the ergative verb exists in Korean must antecede. This study tries to prove polysemy of the above verbs under premise that the ergative verb exists in Korean.1) It will refer to morphological, syntactic similarity by basis in respect of assertion that ergative verbs ‘ulida, nalida’ are polysemous. It also will present that all passive form and causative form have the quality of de-action and the passive form involves causativity.

        천연 게향 전구물질로서의 홍게(Chionoecetes japonicus) 자숙가수분해물의 정미적 특성

        Snow crab Chionoecetes japonicus cooker effluent (SCCE) is a processing byproduct that is produced in large quantities during snow crab processing. However, it is typically discarded due to the lack of a suitable application or used only as a seasoning following simple concentration. We performed a series of studies to make crab-like flavorings (CFs) from SCCE using response surface methodology and reaction flavor technology. To develop material for CFs, taste compounds in the precipitate of SCCE (PSCCE) and the enzymatic hydrolysate of PSCCE (EHSCCE) were analyzed. The content of free amino acids in EHSCCE was 21.6 times higher than that in PSCCE. The major compounds in PSCCE were arginine, glycine, taurine, alanine and sarcosine in that order; leucine, phenylalanine, arginine, valine and lysine were the major compounds in EHSCCE. Six nucleotides and related compounds were identified in EHSCCE. Hypoxanthine (40.3 ug/100 g) was the most abundant, followed by 5`-GMP (22.9 ug/100 g), ADP (22.5 ug/100 g), AMP (21.0 ug/100 g), inosine (3.6 ug/100 g) and 5`-IMP (2.3 ug/100 g).
