Incidence, and Identification of Three Root-Knot Nematode species Occurring in the Medicinal Herbs

Soil and root samples were collected form the rhizoshpere of 11 different medicinal plants to determine the incidence, density and identification of root-knot nematode species associated with medicinal herbs. About 55% of medicinal herbs examined was found to be infested with root-knot nematodes. As a result of infection casued by three root-knot nematodes, M. hapla recorded 43.3% in medicinal herba whereas M. incognita and M. arenaria showed 7.9% and 3.7%, repectively. Forsythia koreana, Hemerocalis fulva, Hibuscus mutabilis and Petasites japonicus were the most severely infested herbs whereas Acanthopanax sessilflorus was least infested. Population of the second stage younger plants. Meloidogyne hapla, M. incognita and M. arenaria were the species associated with the medicinal herbs. The most abundant nematode observed in medicinal herbs was M. hapla and followed by M. incognita and M. arenaria. M. arenaria was observed firstly on Ficus carica, one of medicinal plant.
토양중 중금속함량이 고추의 생육 및 중금속 흡수에 미치는 영향

1. 영향의 광산하류 오염지역의 토양중 중금속함량은 비오염지역인 칠곡에 비해 중금속함량이 현저히 높았고, 광산으로부터 거리별 토양중 중금속함량은 2.0 > 2.5 > 3.0km 순으로 함량이 낮았다. 2. 중금속 오염지역의 고추 생육은 정상지역보다 극히 불량하였고 토양 및 고추중 중금속함량도 월등히 많았다. 3. 고추생육과 토양중 Zn, Cu, Pb, Cd, As함량과는 유의한 부의 상관이 인정되었다. 4. 토양중 Zn, Cu,Cd,As함량과 고추의 Zn, Cd, As함량과는 고도의 유의성이 있는 것으로 보아 중금속 오염지에서는 식물체에 흡수 축적되는 것으로 생각되었다. When red pepper was cultivated in the polluted soil with heavy metals, the content of these heavy metals affected. The contents of heavy metals at a site near Zinc mine dump in the Youngyang area were very high compared with those in a normal area and it was highest in 2.0km site. followed 2.5km > 3.0km apart from Zinc mine dump. The growth of red pepper was remarkably poor and the contents of heavy metals in polluted soil were higher than in unpolluted soil. The relationship between the content of Zn, Cu, Pb, Cd, As and the growth of red pepper was negatively correlated, respectively. A higher correlation seemed to exist among the content of Zn.Cu, Cd, As in soil, of Zn, Cd, and As in red pepper. The result indicated that heavy metals were absorbed and accumulated by plants grown in the polluted area.
아연광산 인근 토양중의 중금속 함량이 콩의 생육 및 중금속 흡수에 미치는 영향

When soybean was cultivated in the polluted soil with heavy metals, the content of these heavy metals affected. The results were summarized as follows. 1. The growth of soybean was remarkably poor and the content of heavy metals in polluted soil were higher than in unpolluted soil. 2. In leaves of all surveyed crops, the content of Zn, Cu, Pb, Cd and As was higher in soybean, followed by corn and rice. 3. Except for Pb, the content of heavy metals in the leaves of soybean was higher than in the stem of soybean, and the components of heavy metals in each part of soybean were shown in order of Zn > As > Cd > Cu > Pb. 4. The relationship between the content of Zn, Cu, Pb, Cd, As and the growth of soybean was negatively correlated, respectively. 5. A higher correlation seemed to exist among the content of Zn, Cu, Pb, Cd, As in soil, of Zn, Cu and As in soybean leaves, and of Pb, Cd and As in stems of soybean. The results indicated that heavy metals were absorbed and accumulated by plants grown in the polluted area.
