        Life insurance, as we know it today, in Korea dates back to 1921, When the chosun Life insurance Company, the first local company, was organized for life insurance activity in this country. This company, however, did not prosper while foreign life insurance companies dominated the market until the end World War Ⅱ. Afterwards, four life insurance companies were founded in 1947. Unfortunately, the industry again had to face many trials and hardships caused by the outbreak of the Korean War in 1950. Indeed the war was a catastrophic misfortune not only for the Korean economy as a whole, but also for the fledgeling insurance industry. for example, all the important documents including account books, ledgers, policy certificates and premium receipts were either burnt or destroyed during the war, thus multipfying dislocations of the insurance markets. In 1962, a year after the May 16th Revolution, the government enacted the Insurance Business Law and National Saving Association Act, which incorporated life insurance companies as an integral part of the Association. These two laws opened for the life insurance companies new avenues for expanded business activities and apportunities for rapid growths, e. g. the group insurance field. The life insurance industry in Korea was able to make a successful take-off, as it were during the period of the 1960s owing to a series of ambitious Five Year Economic Development plans launched. In 1970s, the life insurance industry began to undertake the task of managerial rationalization and, at the same time, renewed its efforts to give a fresh image to the general public. The life insurance now constructed it firm foundations and assumed a great role in stabilizing the people's ordinary life and also in industrial capital formation in order to promote key industries in korea with the government's positive support such as: Ministry of Finance designated the year of 1977 as "Year of insurance", to develop our insurance industry and launched a program to modernize the rationalize the insurance industry. The korean life insurance industry, having attained in 1985. with active support and encouragement by the government, the mark of 79 trillion won in life insurance in force, will continue to improve services to the policy holders and at the same time discharge it function as an important source of funds is the domestic capital market.

      • 영축산의 식물사회학적 식생유형분류와 식물상

        To investigate the forest community structure in the Yeongchuksan, 24 plots (20m×20m) were set up with a random sampling method. Forest community by cluster analysis was classified into four groups(Quercus mongolica - Acer pseudosieboldianum communities, Quercus variabilis communities, Stewartia pseudocamellia - Quercus mongolica communities, Quercus mongolica communities). The Species diversity(H´) of investigated groups were ranged from 0.6568 to 1.0038. The flora in Yeongchuksan was classified as; 315 taxa; 79 families, 199 genus, 271 species, 3 subspecies, 35 varieties and 6 forma. Korea endemic plants were classified as 11 taxa; 9 families, 11 genera and 10 species. Rare plant were classified as 14 taxa; 10 families, 13 genera, 12 species, 2 varieties. Floristics plants were classified as 47 taxa; 30 families, 41 genera, 42 species, 1 subspecies, 4 varieties.

        Absract As the environment for shipping and ports changes rapidly, major factors of port competitiveness are also undergoing changes. This study proposes that Busan Port boosts its relation continuity intention with customers as part of efforts to survive the cutthroat competition among regions and countries and to gain a competitive advantage over rivals. The establishment of such a relation continuity intention is based not only on a number of study results showing that raising customer loyalty enables ports to achieve a competitive advantage, but also on an assessment that from a defensive marketing point of view, the source of port competitiveness depends more on preventing existing customers from severing relations than creating new clients. In addition, most of the existing demand-oriented studies on the port logistics service quality have been made with management and staff of shipping companies, their agencies, or shippers and forwarders, but this study focuses on captains who directly experience and perceive the port logistics service. The selection of captains is grounded on the fact that captains, through whom shipping companies use port services, are in a position to well assess the quality of port services, most of which are provided at container terminals playing a key role in the port logistics. Accordingly, the purpose of this study based on a survey of captains of liners calling at Busan Port is to examine how intangible assets of relation quality, such as customer satisfaction, trust and commitment with the port logistics service quality, contribute to forming relation continuity intention. The results and suggestions of this study are summarized as follows. First, it has expanded the path of influence by adding customer trust and commitment to the paradigm of port logistics service quality and customer satisfaction, which affects customer loyalty and relation continuity intention. Secondly, this study has established five scales - tangibles, speediness, responsiveness, reliability and safety - to measure the port logistics service quality on the basis of existing studies. And it has adopted a point of view that sees each scale of service quality as an element of overall service quality, not a predisposing factor. Thirdly, safety has been found to have the greatest impact on customer satisfaction, followed by reliability and speediness. Shipping companies as major port customers, have access to port logistics service via vessels which call at the Port to load and unload consigned cargo in a safe, accurate and quick way. Therefore, it has been found that captains recognize safety, reliability and speediness as major factors for the port logistics service quality. Fourthly, an analysis of the impact of service quality factors on trust has shown that safety, which has influenced customer satisfaction the most, has a meaningful effect on customer trust. Fifthly, customer satisfaction has been found have a positive influence on trust and commitment. Sixthly, trust and commitment pertaining to relation quality has been found to have a direct positive impact on relation continuity intention. But unlike previous studies showing that customer satisfaction has a direct positive impact on customer loyalty, a hypothesis that customer satisfaction would have a positive impact on relation continuity intention has failed to win support. In conclusion, this study found that captains feel satisfaction directly by perceiving and experiencing the factors for the port logistics service quality, and that a continuing sense of satisfaction leads to trust and commitment, creating the final variable of relation continuity intention. According to this outcome, a more strategic approach to the promotion of customer trust and commitment is needed as a means of creating relation continuity intention. However, this study has covered only captains of container ships as liners which regularly use the Port's container terminals, so it is difficult to apply its results to the overall quality of the Port's logistics service. Therefore, future studies need to survey captains of bulk carriers, general cargo ships, tankers and all other tramps in order to measure the overall quality of its logistics service and find out service quality factors tailored to each customer.

      • Influence of Inlet Condition on the Flow through a Contraction Channel

        지도교수 아말렌두 사우 본 전산연구에서는 3차원 사각 채널에서 발생하는, 갑작스런 수축면에 근접한 영역에서 와류의 유동이 형성되는 입구 조건의 영향에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. 채널의 형상은 입구에서 높이가 D 일 때 너비는 1.5D 이며, 출구의 높이는 반으로 수축된다. 본 연구에서, (i) 완전히 발달된 층류 유동, (ii) 균일 유동 조건 이라는 두 가지 입구조건을 선택하였다. 3차원 유동 해석에서는, Navier-Stokes 방정식의 대류 항을 균일 격자에서 3차원의 정확한 해를 얻으며 2차 정밀도를 갖는 중심 차분법을 적용하고 간략화 된 점성 항들을 얻는, QUICK 알고리즘으로 이산화 하였다. 따라서 이산화된 방정식은 속도 - 압력 연결을 준 음압법 기반으로 하여 해결한다. 본 연구에서는 유동 박리점의 분리 / 재부착 위치들을 결정하는 벽 근처 흐름에 대한 결과를 얻었다. 상류에 있는 두드러진 모서리 와류 및 하류에 있는 모서리 끝부분 와류의 구조적 성장 문제와, 수축하는 지점 근처 분기점 형상의 초기상태에 대하여, 유동 결과의 차이를 얻었다. This computational study aims to provide an insight into the influence of inlet condition on the vortical growth of flow in the near-field of the plane of sudden contraction that occurs in a three-dimensional rectangular channel. The channel under investigation has a width of 1.5D, where D is the upstream channel height, and its contraction ratio is taken as C=2. Two different inlet conditions chosen here are: (i) fully developed laminar inlet flow, and (ii) the uniform inlet flow condition. In our 3D finite volume analysis, the convective fluxes in the Navier-Stokes equations are discretized using a QUICK scheme which provides a third-order accurate solution in uniform grids, and the viscous terms are approximated by the second order central difference scheme. The discretized equations are thereby solved separately based on the semi-implicit velocity-pressure coupling procedures. We exploit here the topological theory for the near-wall flow to determine the lines of separation/reattachment, from which the occurrence of the pitchfork bifurcation is identified. Special emphasis is made to predict the sensitivity to the implemented inlet flow conditions on the issues of structural evolution of upstream salient corner eddies and downstream tip corner eddies and on the initiation of near-contraction bifurcation features.

        False report on the Press has steadily increased in spit of liberal controlling by the press and heteronomous regulation. The unmber of the news which were handed in to the PRESS ARBITARTION COMMITTEE by the real victims of th press is increased to 490 cases in 1997, over ten times, compared with 44 cases in 1981. Even if the presses recognize the seriousness, the effort to decrease the false report has not be taken. The main purpose of this study is to decrease the false report. To survey this, it is necessary to find out and analyze the causes of false report. The survey was conducted about 537 cases, which proved to false report, among 1,064 applied to the PRESS ARBITRATION COMMITTEE. And to trace the process of the false report, the insistence of the request and re-request(the press) is analyzed. In that result, 20 steps could by systemized as cause of the false report. 1. Mistake of newswriter 1) Carelessness of the fact-confirmation 2) One-sided report 3) A literal[word-for-word] interpretation 4) A speculative article 5) prejudice 6) Passing over the changed condition 7) Lacking of speciality 8) Carelessness of miswrite 9) Sinsible mistake 10) exaggerated report 11) Disorted report 2.
