The problem of examining how well a assumed distribution fits the data of a sample is of significant that has to be examined prior to any inferential process. In this paper, a new goodness-of-fit test for an exponential distribution based on progressive censored data is proposed. Using Monte Carlo simulation studies, the present researchers have observed that the proposed test for exponentiality is consistent and quite powerful in comparison with existing goodness-of-fit tests based on progressive censored data. Also, the new test statistic for a real data set is used and the results show that our new test statistic performs well.

This study was conducted to determine the effect of benzyladenine (BA) and ethephon application on crown bud formation in two Hosta taxa native to Korea and one cultivar. Hosta yingeri, H. minor f. alba, and H. ‘White Edge’ were divided into uniform single-bud divisions from mother plants on April 8, 2017. BA and ethephon were applied individually as a foliar spray at either an early growth stage (May 29, 2017) 50 days after transplanting, or a late growth stage (September 1, 2017) 145days after transplanting. BA was applied at concentrations of 500, 1,000, 2,000, or 3,000 mg·L-1, whereas ethephon was applied at concentrations of 50, 100, 500, or 1,000 mg·L-1. In the early growth-stage treatments, there were no significant differences in plant height and width in the three Hosta species. However, in H. yingeri, when 2,000 or 3,000 mg·L-1 BA was applied, the number of leaves was higher (15.4 and 14.5 on average, respectively) than in the untreated plants (9.7 on average). Likewise, there were no significant differences in plant height and width in H. yingeri and H. ‘White Edge’ at the late growth-stage treatments. BA treatments increased the number of leaves regardless of the concentration compared with untreated plants in H. yingeri and H. minor f. alba. In the case of H. ‘White Edge’, only 1,000 or 2,000 mg·L-1 BA increased the number of leaves compared to the untreated plants. The BA treatments had a greater influence on crown budformation than did the ethephon treatments. When 1,000 or 3,000 mg·L-1 BA was applied at the late growth stage, crown bud formation of H. yingeri and H. minor f. alba was 4.8 - and 2.8-times higher than that in the untreated plants, respectively. In the case of H. ‘White Edge,’ the number of crown buds increased after BA application at both the early and late growth stages.
Information Quality of Operating Income under K-IFRS

In 2011, Korea officially adopted K-IFRS as its corporate accounting system, under which the measurement of operating income includes other income and expense items that were previously categorized as non-operating income under the former system, K-GAAP. This paper examines how the measurement standards under K-IFRS and K-GAAP affect the persistence and value relevance of operating income. We provide early evidence that the persistence and value relevance of operating income have declined under K-IFRS compared to those under K-GAAP. This finding suggests that a lack of specific guidance on how to report other income and expense items may decrease the informativeness of operating income.
자생 참두메부추(Allium spirale Willd.)의 효과적인 육묘를 위한 생육환경조건

참두메부추(Allium spirale Willd.)는 관상 및 식용식물로서 가치가 높다. 그러나, 참두메부추의 육묘를 위한 생육조건에 관한 연구는 부족한 실정이다. 본 연구는 육묘 플러그셀 크기, 차광율 및 시비처리가 참두메부추의 유묘 성장에미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 실험 결과, 플러그 셀 크기는 용적이 가장 큰 105셀에서 생육이 가장 우수하였다. 생육지표중 초장과 근장은 60% 차광처리에서 상대적으로 높게 측정되어 생육이 우수하였다. 속효성 고형비료[DO-Peters(N:P:K= 20:20:20)는 셀 당 100mg을 시비했을 때 근수와 근장의 수치가 가장 높게 조사되었으며, 속효성 액체비료 Peters(N:P:K= 20:20:20)는 8mL씩 주 2회 시비한 처리구에서 초장과 엽수의 수치가 가장 높았다. 따라서 참두메부추 유묘의 초기 생육에 있어서 속효성 고형비료는 100mg, 액체비료는 8mL를 주2회 시비하는 것이 적절하였다. 참두메부추는 원예상토가 충진된 105셀 플러그 트레이에 종자를 파종한 후 DO-PRO 100mg 또는 Peters 8mL를 주 2회 엽면시비하면서 60% 차광조건에서 재배하는 것이 효과적이었다. Allium spirale Willd. is valuable as it is an ornamental and edible plant. However, the research concerning the growth conditions for raising the seedlings of A. spirale is insufficient. In this study, the effects of seedling plug tray cell sizes, light shading rates, and fertilization treatments on the growth of seedlings were investigated. The growth was the best in the 105-cell plug tray, which had the largest tray volume. Of the growth indicators tested, plant growth and root length were relatively high under 60% shade. Applying 100 mg of the fast-acting coated fertilizer [DO-PRO (N:P:K = 12:8:12 + 6CaO)] per cell resulted in the highest root number and length values. The short-acting liquid fertilizer [Peters (N:P:K = 20:20:20)], when applied at 8 mL twice a week rather than once a week, resulted in an enhanced plant length and increased number of leaves. Therefore, applying 100 mg of the fast-acting solid fertilizer and 8 mL of the short-acting liquid fertilizer per cell twice a week was considered appropriate for the initial growth of seedlings. Thus, the most effective growth conditions were sowing in a 105-cell plug tray filled with horticultural substrate, addition of 100 mg of DO-PRO or 8 mL of Peters twice a week, and cultivation under 60% shading.

This study was conducted to investigate the leaf growth and flowering characteristics of 85 Hosta cultivars. The85 cultivars were grown in a pot in Useful Plant Resources Center in Yangpyeong, Korea. H. ‘Abiqua Blue Crinkles’, H. ‘Abiqua Drinking Gourd’, H. ‘Dancing in the Rain’, H. ‘Elegance’, H. ‘Inniswood’, and H. ‘Venus’ were classified as alarge size group (> 50 ㎝), while 27 cultivars including H. ‘Abby’, H. ‘Birchwood Parky’s Gold’, H. ‘Blue Cadet’, and H. ‘Blue Edge’ were classified as a small size group (< 20 ㎝). The others were classified as a medium size groups. 79% ofHosta cultivars had leaf variegation. Leaf variegation type was divided into 5 types (standard, marginata, mediovarigata,albomaculata, striata). Among them 31 cultivars including H. ‘Abby’, H. ‘Abiqua Moonbeam’, and H. ‘Atlantis’ has avariegation type of marginata in the leaf. 36 cultivars including H. ‘Abby’, H. ‘Abiqua Drinking Gourd’, and H.‘AbiquaMoonbeam’ bloomed in late May and 9 cultivars including H. ‘Black Hills’, H. ‘Boeun’, and H. ‘Fragrant Bouquet’ startedto flower on late August. Most flowers were below 3.0 ㎝ in length, while H. ‘Avocado’ was longest on 10.0 ㎝. Mostflowers have a lavender color group (63.5%), and 14 cultivars of Hosta showed white color group (16.5%). 12 cultivarsincluding H. ‘Blue Mouse Ears’, H. ‘Captain Kirk’, and H. ‘Fragrant Bouquet’ had the fragrance in their flowers. H. ‘CherryBerry’ and H. ‘Revolution’ had a colorful stalk, red and yellow, respectively. 국내외 개발된 Hsota 품종의 잎의 생육과 개화 특성을 조사한 결과, 식물의 크기는 H.‘Abiqua Blue Crinkles’, H.‘AbiquaDrinking Gourd’, H.‘Dancing in the Rain’, H.‘Elegance’, H. ‘Inniswood’, H.‘Venus’등 6종류가 가장 컸으며(대형 계통, 50㎝ 이상), H. ‘Abby’, H. ‘Birchwood Parky’s Gold’, H. ‘BlueCadet’, and H. ‘Blue Edge등을 포함한 27종은 소형 계통이다(6 ㎝ 이상 20 ㎝ 미만). 79%가 무늬를 가지며 무늬 형태는marginata (복륜), mediovarigata (중투), albomaculata (산반), striata (서반)이며, marginata 계통은 H. ‘Abby’, H. ‘AbiquaMoonbeam’, H. ‘Atlantis’등을 포함하여 31종류로 전체 비율중 36%로 가장 많았다. 개화기는 H. ‘Abby’, H. ‘AbiquaDrinking Gourd’, H. ‘Abiqua Moonbeam’등 36종류가 5월 말부터 개화였고, H. ‘Black Hills’, H. ‘Boeun’, H. ‘FragrantBouquet’등 9종은 8월 이후에 개화하였다. 꽃은 H. ‘Avocado’가 5.0 ㎝ 이상으로 대륜 계통이었으며, H. ‘Avocado’, H. ‘Fragrant Bouquet’, H.‘Fried Bananas’ 등 H. plantaginea 계통이 대부분 크기가 컸다. 꽃의 색은 꽃의 색은 6가지로 분류되며, white 계열은 25.9%, lavender 계열은 45.9%, purple 계열은 28.2%가 개화하였다. H. ‘Blue Mouse Ears’, H. ‘CaptainKirk’, H.‘Fragrant Bouquet’ 등 12종류는 개화시 향기가 있었다. H.‘Cherry Berry’와 H. ‘Revolution’은 각각 빨간색과 노란색의 꽃대를 가지고 있다.
