The purpose of this study was to investigate relationship between self-concept and clothing conformity. The subject of this study were 154 purposively selected student at woman's university in Seoul city. For statistical analysis, mea standard deviation χ2 -test, Pearson's correlation, ANOVA. Duncan Multiple Range test were used. The result from experiment were as follow. 1. The group which has the higher level of self-concept showed significant the lower degree of conformity than the group which has the lower level of self-concept. 2. A student at a woman's university showed significant higher degree of conformity to the group of fashion expert than the group of peer.

한국 대학생들의 ELF(English as a Lingua Franca) 사용 실태와 인식에 관한 연구

Based on a survey conducted among 77 Korean university students, this article examined their usage and awareness of ELF (English as a Lingua Franca), and observed if problems which previous researches have claimed appeared among them. By analyzing data gathered via 2 simple questions and 4 descriptive questions, this study found that the respondents appreciated English as a basic medium for global communication. The respondents also reported various domestic and foreign situations in which they used English to communicate with different interlocutors who spoke different native languages. However, critical issues, such as ownership of English, idealized attitudes toward Standard English, and bias against the varieties of English spoken, all of which have been reported in several empirical researches, were also detected. As globalization extends throughout all areas of our life, and as L2 speakers excel L1 speakers in number as a result, this article calls for more effort to discuss ELF issues in general English education for university students. It also calls for the development of new pedagogical practices. The findings of this study could provide for a meaningful start in that it looked into the real life situations of the students. 본 논문은 77명의 대학생들의 설문을 통해 ELF(English as a Lingua Franca)의 사용 실태와 인식을조사하고 ELF와 관련하여 기존 연구에서 제기된 문제들이 한국의 대학생들에게도 발견되는지 살펴보고자 하였다. 2개의 단답형 질문과 4개의 서술형 질문의 응답을 분석해 본 결과, 대상 학생들은 영어를상호문화 간 소통 즉 ELF로서 널리 인식하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 그들은 또한 현재 국내외 다양한맥락에서 다양한 모국어를 사용하는 화자들과의 소통을 위해 영어를 사용하고 있음을 보고하였다. 그러나 선행연구에서 관찰된 영어 소유권, 표준영어에 대한 이상주의, 영미권 이외 다양한 영어에대한 편견과 태도의 문제가 본 연구에서도 감지되었다. 세계화의 흐름이 일상의 모든 영역에서 가속화되고 영어 L2 화자가 L1 화자를 수적으로 능가하고 있는 가운데, 본 논문은 대학의 교양영어 교육 현장에서ELF의 문제를 적극적으로 논의하고 영어 교육의 방향과 목표를 제정비하여 이를 교육적 체계로 구체화시킬 것을 촉구하며 이러한 전환점에서 본 연구는 ELF에 대한 학생들의 실제 상황을 진단해 보았다는점에서 작은 의의가 있다고 할 것이다.

부모평정 진로지지 척도의 구인타당도 검증

The purpose of the present study is to investigate the construct validity of the parent version of Career-related Parent Support Inventory (CPSI). The results of confirmatory factor analysis supported initial hypothesis in which CPSI showed 5-factor structure with 20 items. The result also showed that item 12 and item 1 are highly associated with item 17 and item 6, respectively. Overall, findings in this study indicated that a first-order five-factor model exhibited not only a better fit but also more parsimonious than a second-order factor model. High reliability coefficients implied that the responses in the CPSI were consistent within each sub-factor. When career-related support for parents were compared with those for adolescents, results showed that parents exhibited higher scores in all sub-factors of CSPI than adolescents. Finally, the implications of the current study are discussed under the context of Korean culture, economy, and society. 본 연구에서는 학생이 지각한 부모 진로지지 척도(CPSI: Career-related Parent Support Inventory)를 부모들이 평정할 때에도 동일한 구조를 나타내는 지 확인하고자, 부모가 지각한 진로지지 척도의 구인타당도를 검증하였다. 확인적 요인분석(confirmatory factor analysis)의 결과, 부모가 지각한 진로지지 척도가 20문항 5요인으로 구성될 것이라는 초기의 가설이 지지되었다. 그러나 ‘경험적 지지’의 하위요인 문항 중 1문항은 문항의 적합도가 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 경험적 지지의 하위요인 중 문항 12번과 문항 17번, 대화적 지지의 하위요인 중 문항 1번과 문항 6번은 비슷한 문항으로 서로 중첩되고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 그럼에도 불구하고 5개의 요인구조 모형은 부모가 지각한 진로지지 척도에도 동일하게 적용되고 있었으며, 신뢰도 점수 역시 높게 산출되어 적합하다는 것을 증명해 주었다. 나아가 부모들이 지각한 진로지지 수준은 학생들이 지각한 진로지지 수준에 비해 월등하게 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이는 부모들의 진로지지 사고와 행동을 이해하는데 있어 학생이 지각한 부모 진로지지의 결과뿐만이 아니라 그들의 부모가 지각한 진로지지 결과를 함께 살펴보며 사용해야 함을 시사해 주는 결과였다. 마지막으로 연구자는 한국의 사회, 문화, 경제적 맥락을 고려하여 연구결과의 함의에 대해서 논의하였다.

Indole-3-acetic Acid Production from Alginate by Vibrio sp. dhg: Physiology and Characteristics

The production of indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) by bacteria has attracted considerable attention in plant studies due to its significant role as a plant growth regulator. In this study, it was confirmed that Vibrio sp. dhg, a novel microbial platform capable of assimilating alginate, can naturally synthesize IAA. The effects of L-tryptophan and the carbon sources obtained from brown algae (glucose, mannitol, and alginate) were also examined to characterize the IAA biosynthesis in Vibrio sp. dhg. The highest IAA production (9.32 ± 0.25 mg/L) was observed in the alginate medium containing 0.8 g/L of L-tryptophan. Interestingly, alginate was found to be a favorable option for IAA production due to the rapid uptake of L-tryptophan during the exponential phase. By adding external NADH, this study demonstrated that the low net reducing equivalents in the alginate medium were linked to this phenomenon. This study is the first to provide alginate as the sole carbon source for IAA production and to propose that the oxidoreduction potentials of the carbon source can affect bacterial IAA biosynthesis.

청소년의 자아개념과 자기 효능감 및 진로관련 변인 간의 영향

본 연구에서는 한국교육개발원의 한국교육종단조사 1~7차년도 데이터를 사용하여 자아개념, 자기효능감, 그리고 진로결정 관련 변인들(진로성숙, 직업포부, 마래 목표의식)으로 구성된 잠 재프로파일을 분석하였고, 잠재프로파일에 영향을 마치는 요언을 탐색하였다 먼저 잠재프로 파일의 결과로는 직업포부 고집단, 직업포부 저집단, 저집단의 3개의 잠재프로파일이 나타났 다 그리고 각 프로파일에 영향을 마치는 변인으로 인구통계학적 변인(성별, 부모학력, 월평 균소득), 개인적 변인(교우, 교사, 부모자녀관계, 동아리경험, 해외경험, 학업성취도), 환경적 변인(부모지원, 교육비, 교육기대, 직업기대, 사회자본, 문화자본)을 탐색한 결과, 여학생보다 는 남학생일 때, 그리고 부모학력과 월평균 소득이 높을수록, 학업성취도 수준이 높을수록, 부모의 교육기대와 직업포부가 높을수록 직업포부 고 집단에 속할 확률이 높은 것으로 나타 났다 한편, 남학생보다는 여학생일 때, 그리고 교우관계 빚 부모관계가 좋을수록, 동아리 활 동을 많이 할수록, 부모의 지원 빚 문화적 자본 수준이 높을수록 직업포부 저 집단에 속할 확률이 높은 것으로 나타났다 마지막으로 자아개념과 자기효능감, 그리고 진로결정 관련 변 인들의 잠재프로파일에 대한 논의와 이들에 대한 진로발달을 위한 상담 교육적 개입에 대해 논의하였다.

대학생의 학습인식과 교육만족도의 관계: 인문․사회계열과 자연․이공계열의 비교

이 연구는 대학생들의 학습에 대한 인식과 교육만족도의 관계가 전공계열에 관계없이 유사하게 나타나는지 확인하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 S대학교에서 학부생들을 대상으로 실시한 온라인 설문조사 결과를 토대로 전공계열을 인문․사회계열과 자연․이공계열로 구분하여 다집단 구조방정식 모형 분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 대학생들의 학습에 대한 인식은 인문․사회계열과 자연․이공계열에서 유사한 개념으로 타당하게 적용될 수 있었다. 학습결과와학습과정에 대한 인식의 요인구조 및 요인부하량이 전공계열에 따라 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났으며, 두 집단 모두에서 수업에 적극적으로 참여하는 것, 해당주제에 대한 관심이 증가하는 것, 학문분야에 대한 내용을 이해하게 되는 것이 학습에 대한 인식을 측정하는 주요한 문항들로 분석되었다. 또한 대학생들의 학습에 대한 인식과 교육만족도간의 관계는 인문․사회계열과 자연․이공계열간에 유사한 것으로 분석되었다. 학습에 대한 인식이 교육만족도에 미치는 영향은 전공계열에 따라 차이가 없으며, 인문․사회계열의 학생들과 자연․이공계열의 학생들 모두학습과정에 대한 인식보다 학습결과에 대해 어떻게 인식하고 있는지가 교육만족도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. This study aims to figure out the effects of students' majors on the relationship between perceived learning experiences and course satisfaction of undergraduate students. In this study, whether the survey items can be conducted on both groups - humanities/social science majors and natural science/engineering majors - and whether the relationship between perceived learning experiences and course satisfaction shows similar trend in both groups were investigated. The data for this research came from the online survey of undergraduate students in S University, and multi-group confirmatory factor analysis and multi-group structural equation modeling was employed. The results revealed that the concepts of undergraduate students on learning experiences had configural invariance and metric invariance. Also, the relationship between learning experiences and course satisfaction of different major groups had configural and metric invariance but no scalar invariance. Undergraduate students in both major groups showed that their opinions on learning outcomes had much larger effects on course satisfaction than the learning activities.

비영어권 교환학생 사례를 통해 살펴본 ELF 소통의 실제

Aspects of ELF Communication Experienced by Participants in Study Abroad Programs in non-English Speaking Countries. This article is a case study of two university students who participated in a Study Abroad Program in Japan and Poland, respectively. The goal of the study was to examine phenomena of ELF(English as a Lingua Franca) communication the students experienced in the non-English speaking host countries. As a method of qualitative inquiry, content analysis was made of the data drawn from interviews with two the participants. The findings implied that various physical and psychological environments led the students to experience ELF communication with different speakers from different backgrounds, realize the power of ELF in intercultural communication, and change their prejudice and attitude. However, internal conflicts, such as hierarchy regarding English ability mingled with racial bias, were also detected. From the findings, this study inferred an important role ELF awareness plays for a competent English speaker in a global context.
