The study revealed a love-hate family relationship that the participants wanted parental recognition and attention but they were frustrated by insufficient parental care and sibling conflict. Nevertheless, they only had each other themselves to trust and rely on. Their mixed health awareness and negative emotions were influenced by parents. Some of participants were exposed to dangerous environment such as domestic violence, and they need support system for help in difficult situations. Sometimes they felt happy by satisfying physiological, social, and self-esteem needs. They also showed a positive potential that they were matured more than peers through the experience of overcoming difficulties. Conclusion: Not only were there not enough attention and support for the children with mentally ill people, but they were also exposed to an environment that threatens their physical or mental health. Therefore, to improve their health-related quality of life, there should be some integrated support of the community health system to cope with the challenges they face.
Making Moors, Commercializing Blankness in Thomas Middleton’s The Triumphs of Truth
김은혜 한국고전중세르네상스영문학회 2021 중세근세영문학 Vol.31 No.1
In the early modern period, the Moors were newly constructed and manipulated as an ever-changing identity. They were also commercialized and consumed as a new land and new pleasure by white imperialists. Especially, the representation of the Moors’ ambiguous and negative identities was based on geohumoralism and Pan-Moorism with the prejudice against black skin, which had long been thoroughly theorized and conceptualized by white western people. In particular, the London Mayor’s Show, including Thomas Middleton’s The Triumphs of Truth (c.1613), was a visually spectacular public pageant, which combined theater and commerciality with the active support of merchants’ associations. In the Show, there was a special scene in which the black body of the African was commercialized, the slave trade was justified, and the aspirations of imperialism were indulged in a way to establish Englishness.

Fibrous dysplasia is a developmental disease of bone in which the normal substance in the interior of the bone is replaced by fibro-osseous connective tissue. Histologically, it shows varying degrees of osseous metaplasia. The skeletal system, including long bones, ribs, craniofacial bones, and the pelvis, is common site of fibrous dysplasia. However, fibrous dysplasia is rare in the nasal cavity, especially involving the turbinate. Here, we reported a case of monostotic fibrous dysplasia of the inferior turbinate with a review of the relevant literature.

Polymyositis is a rare manifestation of chronic graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) characterized by muscle pain, weakness, and an increased in muscle related enzymes. We report the case of a 23-year-old woman who presented polymyositis, related to a chronic GVHD following interruption of immunosuppressive treatment. It occurred 9 months after allogenic bone marrow transplantation from matched unrelated donor in the patient with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). The polymyositis responded rapidly to high dose prednisolone.
