        Investigation of an Axial Virtual Cathode Oscillator with an Open-Ended Coaxial Cathode

        A cathode with an open-ended coaxial structure is experimentally investigated using an axial virtual cathode oscillator (vircator). To enhance the microwave power output, an open-ended coaxial cathode is installed in the axial vircator. The proposed cathode is designed based on the reciprocating frequency of the vircator. The operation features of an axial vircator with a solid cathode, an annular cathode, and an open-ended coaxial cathode are comparatively analyzed through simulations and experiments. Three cathodes are machined using graphite. A stainless steel mesh with a transparency of 70% is used as an anode. The anode-to-cathode gap is fixed to 6 mm. The vircator is driven using a 10-stage PFN-Marx generator with a characteristic impedance of 31 Ω. The PFN-Marx generator applies -150 kV voltage pulses with a 170–200 ns pulse width into the vircator. The microwave power from the solid and annular cathodes is 11.22 MW and 11.27 MW, respectively. The proposed cathode generates a microwave with a power of 12.65 MW while enhancing the microwave power by 13% compared with the solid and annular cathodes. The proposed cathode shows a frequency shift to 3.4 GHz, which is a much lower frequency than that of the solid cathode at 6.34 GHz.

        Cement mortar and efficient disconnection of aggregate are indispensable for recycling of waste concrete, and the problem is with quality in the existing physical disconnection way, and the problem has been by application of a concrete recycling construction materials. Specially, in case of recycled aggregate, the quality is lowered because of the fine aggregate powder which has a bad influence on flowability, a compression strength by adhesion of mortar on the aggregate face, and the case of recycled cement was added to during recycle cement. Therefore, a mortar and interfacial separation of aggregate are large in proper quality for concrete recycling is expected that affect. This study based on the recycled cement manufacturing way which used an aggregate interfacial separation of waste mortar in this study so that the coefficient of thermal expansion of hardend cement paste and an the coefficient of thermal expansion of a fine aggregate are different in a recycled cement manufacturing way, but leaves a purpose.

        Effects of the Neck Stabilization Exercises with Vibratory Stimulation on the Neck Disability Index and Thickness of Deep Neck Flexor in Neck Pain Patient

        Purpose: This study examined the effects of neck stabilization exercises with vibratory stimulation on the neck disability index and thickness of the deep neck flexor. Methods: Thirty subjects (control group=15, experimental group=15) with mild neck pain were enrolled in the study. The control group underwent craniocervical flexion exercise (control group, CG) and the experimental group was given craniocervical flexion exercise with vibratory stimulus (experimental group, EG) (3 sets, 3 times per week for 6 weeks). To examine the effects of exercise, the subjects were evaluated using the neck disability index (NDI), the thickness of the deep neck flexor muscle, and muscle strength. An independent and paired t-test were used to compare the effects of the exercise between the groups. Results: The NDI score of the two groups increased significantly after 6 weeks of treatment (p<0.001) and there was a significant difference between the EG group at 3 weeks (p<0.05) and 6 weeks (p<0.01). The thickness of the deep neck flexor in the CG group increased significantly after 6 weeks of treatment in all pressure stages (p<0.001). The EG group showed a significant increase after 3 and 6 weeks of treatment in all pressure stage (p<0.001), and 22 mmHg, a significant difference between 3 and 6 weeks (p<0.05) and among 24, 28, and 30 mmHg at 6 weeks (p<0.05). The maximum muscle strength of the deep neck flexion muscles increased significantly in the two groups after 6 weeks of treatment (p<0.001) and there was significant difference between the EG group at 6 weeks (p<0.01). Conclusion: Craniocervical flexion exercise with vibratory stimulus decreases the NDI, and increases the thickness of the deep neck flexor and maximum muscle strength of the deep neck flexion muscles in patients with mild neck pain.

        한국 중소기업의 베트남 투자 분석: T사의 사례연구를 통하여

        Korea`s shoe industry has been steadily growing since the 1920s due to cheap and abundant labor. However, since the 1980s, exports and original equipment maker (OEM) orders started to decline because of Korea's rising labor costs and price competitiveness with Southeast Asian neighbors like China, Vietnam, and Indonesia. Therefore, domestic shoe factories, which have failed to overcome the high labor costs since 1980 had to move production bases to China, Vietnam, and Indonesia where labor costs are low. Thus, this research explored a Korean footwear company called the T company which is a renown shoe manufacturing company in South Korea. By analyzing the Export-Import Bank of Korea, Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), Vietnam National Statistical Office, and Vietnam Foreign Investment Agency, the research was to understand and examine the T company’s business strategy overbroad, especially in Vietnam. We explored the accumulated investment-related issues and changes in the Vietnamese market and business environment. Furthermore, we investigated strategies and plans for how to cope with this change. We analyzed and examined the T company's ownership, location, and internalization advantages, as an example, which based on the eclectic paradigm and economic trends of the Vietnamese government and the state of the footwear industry. Finally, we investigated the future investment trends by sector and region to assist potential companies in entering the prospective Vietnamese market. 한국의 신발산업은 1920년대 이후 저렴한 인건비 및 풍부한 노동력에 의해 지속적으로 성장을 했다. 그러나 1980년대 이후 한국의 인건비 상승과 동남아시아의 주변국인 중국, 베트남, 인도네시아와 가격 경쟁력에서 차이를 보이게 됨으로써, original equipment manufacturer (OEM) 주문량이 줄어들기 시작하고 수출액 또한 감소세에 이르게 되었다. 따라서 1980년 이후 높은 인건비의 벽을 넘지 못한 국내 신발 공장들은 인건비가 저렴한 중국, 베트남, 인도네시아로 생산 기반을 이전하게 되었다. 이를 바탕으로 본 연구는 한국수출입은행, 대한무역투자진흥공사(KOTRA), 베트남 통계청, 베트남 외국인 투자 청과 국내 중견기업인 T사의 지속가능경영보고서를 기반으로 경공업 분야에서 베트남에 진출하고자 하는 국내 제조업 분야 중소기업의 투자방안에 대해 분석하였다. 또한 이 연구는 그동안의 축적되어온 투자 관련 이슈와 베트남 시장 및 기업 환경의 변화 등에 대해 자세히 기술하고 있고 이 변화에 어떻게 대처하는가에 대한 전략과 방안을 논의하였다. T사의 사례연구를 통하여 한국 신발산업의 사업 현황과 베트남 경제 동향 및 신발산업을 비교 분석하여 베트남 진출에 있어 T사의 성공사례를 기반으로 향후 베트남 투자에 진출하고자 하는 기업에 도움이 되고자 한다.

        Gel Coating법에 의한 Kaolin으로부터 Mullite-Zirconia 복합체의 합성

        In this study, mullite-zirconia comosite was fabricated by adding ZrOCl2.8H2O using of boehmite gel coating to Hadong kaolin (pink A grade) in order to enhance strength of the mullite specimens. The influence of ZrOCl2.8H2O content and fireing temperature on the crystall phase, microstructure, bulk density, strength of the specimens was investigated. Mullite-zirconia composite was produced in the process of coating zirconia to mullite powder synthesized thereafter and mixing simultaneously of starting materials with boehmite-zirconia gel. Maximum strength with in this study was 251 sintered at 1$600^{\circ}C$ for 2h. Bulk density and strength of the composite with zirconia coated mullite was higher than simultaneous on mixture of starting materials.
