기관손상을 동반한 경부자상 : 증례보고 A Report of Case
김문환 대한응급의학회 1995 대한응급의학회지 Vol.6 No.1
Penetrating wounds of the trachea are usually due to stab wounds in our country. The most common site of injury is the anterolateral wall of the cervical trachea, because of its most unprotected part. This trauma can be an immediately life-threatening injury. Failure to recognize such injury and promptly secure an airway may have fatal consequences. We experienced a female patient who had two stab wounds on anterior cervical area with knife for the purpose of suicide. The tracheal wound was successfully repaired by interrupted suture with 3-0 Dexon. She was discharged without postoperative complications or sequale. With this experience, the management of penetrating tracheal injury should depend on the type, size, and site of the wound and the type of coexistent injury to other organs, and that primary repair of the tracheal wound can be performed in the most of the patients.
