        임상 치과위생사의 언어폭력 경험 및 대처방안

        The purpose of this study was to provide a basic data for developing and solutions to prevent verbal abuse and to determine the actual overall verbal abuse experience of dental hygienist. Participants were 289 dental hygienists who work in dental hospitals and clinics. The results of this study, 177 dental hygienists experienced verbal abuse. Perpetrators of verbal abuse experience became patient (67.9%), dentist (21.1%). The most common reason for verbal abuse were .anger about the dental service. (17.0%), .anger about physical and emotional suffering. (14.1%), .consider the dental hygienists as subordinate not as colleague or practitioner. (12.6%). The types of verbal abuse were .taking down. (21.7%), .yelling. (16.3%), .being sarcastic. (11.3%). The types of coping with verbal abuse were many aspects of passive coping in order of .suppress. (12.3%), .ignore. (8.2%). The result of verbal abuse experience according to working characteristics was significant different to clinical career, main duty, position. The result of self-esteem and job satisfaction according to verbal abuse experience, dental hygienist who had experienced verbal abuse was lower in job satisfaction. Therefore, it should be recognized that experience of verbal abuse in dental hygienist was serious and need to develop prevention programs and research.

        모발 미용산업 종사자의 결혼유무가 폭력대응 전략이 회복력에 미치는 영향

        Workers in the customer service industry including hair and beauty industry workers and department store employees are recently dealing with an increasing need for the supply of excessive services by companies as well as unreasonable demands from consumers. As such, service industry workers who deal with customers are going through not only physical but also verbal and emotional abuse. This study discusses the influences of violence experiences of hair and beauty industry workers on their resilience, an ability to recover, associated with individual characteristics. For such purpose, a total of 247 structured questionnaires obtained from a face-to-face survey of male and female hair and beauty industry workers in their 20s, 30s, 40s and 50s from Gangbuk and Gangnam District of Seoul Metropolitan City on the influences of experiences of violence from customers on resilience were analyzed. The purpose of this study is to test the influences of violence experiences of hair and beauty industry workers on resilience in association with their general characteristics, and thus analysis of collected data was performed by frequency analysis, testing of reliability with Cronbach’s alpha, descriptive statistics, ttest, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis in SPSS 21.0. The results of this study on violence experiences of hair and beauty industry workers associated with general characteristics suggested that, with respect to age, people in their 20s and 30s had a higher level of internal violence experiences than those in their 40s. As to marital status, married people were found to have a higher level of violence experiences than unmarried people. Married people also showed a higher level of resilience associated with general characteristics than unmarried people, which seems the consequence of differences in their ability to communicate with customers and cope with their work based on their career. Therefore, this study implies that there is a need for the utilization of various educational programs which can help hair and beauty industry workers develop their ability to recover by themselves, as well as protection from their work environment and improvements in their relationships with superiors or colleagues in the workplace due to the nature of hair and beauty industry.

        Factors Influencing the Turnover Intention of Nurses in Small and Medium Hospitals

        This study is a descriptive research to investigate the effect of verbal abuse experience, burnout and job satisfaction on turnover intention of nurses in small and medium hospitals. The subjects of this study were 233 nurses working in small and medium sized hospitals with over 150 beds and under 300 beds in G City. Data from structured questionnaire was collected from October 15 to October 30, 2019 SPSS Win 24.0 software was used to calculate real numbers, percentage, and to analyze with Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression. Turnover intentions were positively correlated with experiences of verbal abuse by doctor, by nurse and by patient or guardian. It also positively correlated with exhaustion and negatively correlated with job satisfaction . The factors positively influencing turnover intention were experience of verbal abuse by doctors, and burnout. Job satisfaction affected them negatively. The magnitude of influence was in the order of job satisfaction, burnout, and verbal abuse experience by doctors. The results of this study exhibited that most nurses experienced the verbal violence. The experience of verbal violence decreased the job satisfaction of nurses and increased the intention of burnout and turnover. Therefore, attention should be paid to the experience of verbal abuse for nurses, and the patterns of occurrence of verbal violence should be analyzed and prevented. In addition, there is a great need for systematic strategy development and counter measures that can promote job satisfaction by creating a safe working environment and reduce the intention of burnout and turnover.

        간호대학생의 언어폭력경험이 전공만족도, 실습만족도, 간호전문직관에 미치는 영향

        Purpose : The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of nursing students' experience of verbal violence on major satisfaction, practice satisfaction, and nursing professionalism. Data were collected 237 237 3rd and 4th grade nursing students from two nursing colleges located in G and P cities, and the structured questionnaire was analyzed The results of the study showed that major satisfaction was significantly different according to gender (F=1,50, p<.001), grade (F=-2.38, p<.001), and motivation for choosing nursing (t=6.79, p<.000). appeared to have a difference. The experiences of verbal violence were related to major satisfaction (r=-.298, p<.001), practice satisfaction (r=.-.348, p<.001), and professionalism (r=.-.4071, p<.001). It was found that there was a statistically significant negative (-) correlation. Factors influencing the subject's experience of verbal violence include professionalism (β=.305, p<.001), satisfaction with major (β=259, p<.001), and satisfaction with practice (β=142, p=.003). ), and the explanatory power of these variables was 25.9%. It is necessary to develop a program that can cope with verbal violence of nursing students.

        지방 중소병원 간호사의 소진, 언어폭력 경험, 사회적 지지가 직무배태성에 미치는 융복합적 영향

        본 연구의 목적은 지방 중소병원 간호사의 소진과 언어폭력경험, 사회적 지지가 직무배태성에 미치는 영향을 확인하는 것이었다. 자료는 497명의 중소병원 간호사를 대상으로 2017년 8월 23일부터 10월 30일까지 자가기입식 설문지를 이용하여 수집되었다. 수집된 자료는 t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, 위계적 다중회귀분석을 통해 분석하였다. 연구결과, 간호사의 지무배태성에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 소진, 언어폭력 경험, 사회적 지지, 직위가 확인되었다(Adjusted R2=.45). 따라서 간호사의 직무배태성을 높이기 위해서는 간호사의 소진을 낮출 수 있는 업무환경을 조성하고, 상사와 동료의 사회적 지지를 높일 수 있는 지지적인 환경을 조성해 나감으로써 간호사의 직무배태성을 향상시킬 수 있을 것이다. 또한 간호관리자는 간호사를 위한 언어폭력 예방 프로그램을 마련해야 할 것이다. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of burnout, verbal abuse experience, and social support on job embeddedness in the Small and Medium Sized Hospital Nurses. The data were collected from 497 nurses by means of self-reported questionnaires on August 23th to October 30th, 2017. The data were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation coefficients and hierarchical multiple regression analysis. The results showed that burnout, verbal abuse experience, social support, and position were identified as the factors affecting the nurse's job embeddedness (Adjusted R2=.45). Therefore, to enhance nurses’ job embeddedness, it is necessary to reduce nurse’s burnout and increase social supports from supervisor and colleague. Additionally, the nurse leaders should prepare a verbal abuse prevention program for nurses.

        청소년의 학대경험이 학교폭력 가해행동에 미치는 영향요인 연구 : 대전광역시 중학생을 중심으로

        본 연구는 청소년의 학대경험이 학교폭력 가해행동에 어떤 영향요인이 미치는지를 파악하기 위한 사례연구 논문으로서 대전지역 중학생들을 대상으로 일반적 특성에 따른 변인간의 학교폭력 가해행동의 차이와 가정으로부터 학대경험은 학교폭력 가해행동에 어떠한 영향을 미치는 지 그 요인을 파악하는데 연구목적을 둔 논문이다. 대전지역 중학교 4곳을 무작위 선정하여 416명을 대상으로 2015년 3월부터 4월까지 연구조사 한 논문이며, 연구분석 방법으로는 빈도분석 및 T-test와 일원배치분산분석(One Way ANOVA) 상관관계분석, 다중회귀분석를 실시하였다. 분석결과 대전지역 중학생들이 가정으로부터 학대경험 여부에 따라 학교폭력 가해행동이 변인들중에 심각한 영향을 미친다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 특히 학대경험이 학교폭력 가해행동에 미치는 영향요인에 있어서는 신체물리적 학대와 언어정서적 학대경험이 증가할수록 학교폭력 가해행동에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 성별, 학년별, 성적별, 생활정도별에서는 통계적 유의수준에서 큰 영향이 없는 것으로 나타난 논문이다. As a case study on how abuse experience affected school violence behaviors of adolescents, this study aimed to assess the differences in school violence behaviors by the general characteristics of middle school students in Daejeon and determine how abuse experience at home affected school violence behaviors. The research was conducted in 416 students at four middle schools in Daejeon, which were randomly selected, from March to April 2015 and frequency analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were used. The results showed that the abuse experience at home had a significant impact on school violence behaviors of middle school students in Daejeon. In particular, as for the factors of abuse experience affecting school violence behaviors, physical, verbal, and emotional abuse experience increased the likelihood of school violence behaviors, whereas gender, school year, academic performance, and the living standard had no statistically significant effect.

      • A Narrative Inquiry on Self-regard of Female Taekwondo Instructors

        Purpose: The purpose of the study was to understand and analyze the formation of self-esteem of Taekwondo instructors. Methods: Eight female Taekwondo instructors with 5 years or more of work experience were recruited as participants. Secondary data analysis and 3 in-depth interviews with each participant were conducted for further analysis. Results: First, the female Taekwondo instructors who participated in this study started Taekwondo in early childhood, majored in Taekwondo in university, and became professional instructors. They considered their choices of occupation positively and made an effort to maintain their positions as Taekwondo instructors while they overcame diverse difficulties in the male-dominant Taekwondo society. Second, the female Taekwondo instructors performed their profession by accepting their job as a major part of their life and striving to maintain their positions. Continuing in their profession and teaching others gave them satisfaction as Taekwondo instructors and provided them with self-esteem. The value and faith of Taekwondo instructors were derived from their self-esteem. Third, the surveyed participants had diverse experiences in the process of socialization as a female instructors. Conclusions: Female Taekwondo instructors lose self-esteem easily due to the gender-biased comments of their male counterparts and when they endure violent behavior and/or verbal abuse from their male coaches. They continued with a career in Taekwondo in order to restore their self-esteem and receive recognition as instructors.

      • Factors Affecting Perception of Subway Service Workers’ Emotional Labor

        This research aimed at investigating factors affecting perception of service workers’ emotional labor in charge of the public service in the subway station. For this purpose, this research conducted frequency and percentage, mean and standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA and multiple regression analysis with data of 881 workers at the business management office in charge the public service among Urban Railway Corporation employees in S City, Korea. As a result of this research, subway workers’ perception of their emotional labor was different according to gender, experience of negative emotions, and psychology; and variables such as experiences of physical and verbal abuse, disregard of their personality and interpersonal sensitivity psychology accounted for 17.2% of the perception of emotional labor. Mental health promotion programs are needed to be offered to the service workers in the future to alleviate the experience of negative emotional labor coming from relations with consumers.
