박종욱(Park Chong-Uk),허진강(Hur Jin-Gang),우지혜(Woo Ji-Hae) 대한치료과학회 2010 대한치료과학회지 Vol.2 No.1
Objective: The aim of this research is to determine the effects on muscle activity as incurred by patient transfer height, lumbar pressure, and lower extremities. Method: 40 physical therapists working in hospital rehabilitation units were selected as the sample target. The experiment was conducted under 2 conditions - when the wheelchair and treatment mat were of equal height, and when the treatment mat was 10cm higher than the wheelchair. EMG and 3DSSPP were used to measure the muscle activity and lumbar pressure of the back and lower extremity. Results: Back muscle activity showed a significant difference according to height(p<.05). Conclusion: Patient transfer can result in lower back musculoskeletal disorders. Hence it is recommended that the patient be transferred at equal height to prevent lower back musculoskeletal disorders.

Objective: The purpose of this study is when women climb the stairs, height of high heels was conducted to determine the effects of anterior tibialis muscle and calf muscle. Method: This study was experimented height of high heels(0 cm, 3 cm, 7 cm) with 20 people of the H University Physical Therapy in Chun-cheon. It climbed the stairs without railings. And using a metronome, This study adjusted the moving speeds for a one second climbing. Using an equipment EMG, It measured the muscle activity of Dominant side leg. The activity of the muscles according to the heel height were analyzed through repeated ANOVA (p<.05). Results: The activity of the anterior tibialis muscle was increased the higher the heel height, the activity of the gastrocnemius medial part muscle is decreased the higher the heel height (p<.05). The activity of the gastrocnemius lateral part muscle showed no significant different depending on heels heel height. Conclusion: Though this study, the more the high heels are high, the muscle of the tibialis anterior muscle activity increases, but gastrocnemius medial part muscle activity decreased.

Purpose: This study is designed to examine the effect of self-efficacy on stress-coping methods of health related and non-health related department college students. Method: A questionnaire survey was conducted on 533 students (268 health department and 265 non-health department) of health department and non-health department students at 1 university and 2 university in Gyeonggi-do, jeollabuk-do and jeollanam-do. Results: The results were statistically analyzed using SPSS 12.0, which made no statistically-significant difference among health and non-health students. The study on the effect of self-efficacy on stress-coping methods has revealed that both health and non-health department students showed statistically-significant positive correlation between self-efficacy and emotion-centered coping methods. Also, Social efficacy had negative correlation with social-supported coping methods. While non-health department students had statistically-significant positive correlation between self-efficacy and wishful coping. Conclusion: Accordingly, it has been revealed that self-efficacy is effective in stress-coping methods.

Endothelin (ET) is a 21 amino acid peptide with multifunctional effects on the vasculature as well as a variety of other cell types such as respiratory, gastrointestinal, urogenital, endocrine, central nervous systems, and others. Endothelin has emerged as a modulator by autocrine and paracrine actions for many cellular activities, including vasoconstriction, cell proliferation, hormone production, neurotransmitter and/or neuromodulator. The endothelin family consists of three closely related peptides, ET-1, ET-2, and ET-3 derived from separate genes, such as chromosome 6, 1, and 20, respectively. ET-1 is the predominant isoform produced in the cardiovascular system and about which most is known. Endothelin receptors are seven-transmembrane GTP-binding protein-coupled receptors, which are classified into endothelin-A (ETA) and endothelin-B (ETB) receptors. Interestingly, recent evidence is accumulating to suggest that ET -1 may contribute to a variety of pain states such as allodynia and hyperalgesia in animals and humans. Therefore, in this review the biological characteristics and contraction-related mechanism of endothelin-1 in mammalian cells will be summarized. Especially, we focus on multifunctional roles for ET-1 in noxious stimulation-induced pain for the study of pain specialized physical therapy.
