        We report a 70 year-old man with Binswanger's disease associated with mood symptoms. He was apparently well until 15 years ago when the treatment-resistant atypical mood symptoms had been appeared. He showed a fluctuating course in mental disturbance, such as irritable and labile affect, emotional incontinence, and irritable behavior. Two years ago, he was diagnose as hypertension, renal failure, and heart failure. He was admitted to psychiatric ward due to irritable mood, dysarthria, lack of bladder control, gait disturbance, and impulsive behaviors, which had been aggravated during the last 2 months. In physical examination, he had hypertension and both pretibial pitting edema was revealed, and also in neurological examination, exaggeration of deep tendon reflexes and weakness of extremities were found. On mental status examination, he showed irritable and labile mood with mild cognitive disturbances. Brain MRI demonstrated multifocal high signal intensity in periventricular white matter, both basal ganglia, and thalami on the T2 imaging. These findings were compatible with Binswanger's disease with mood symptoms.

        운동형태의 차이가 Alloxan유발 당뇨쥐의 혈당 및 인슐린 농도에 미치는 영향

        The Purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of exercise intensity on blood glucose and insulin levels in diabetic rats with alloxan. Twenty sprague-dawley male rats were assigned to power training groups(n=10) and endurance training groups(n=10). Diabetes was induced by single injection of alloxan(50 mg/kg B.W) Blood glucose and insulin were determined every week for 4-weeks. The conclusion of this study follows as below: 1) There was significantly different on blood glucose levels in two groups. 2) There was significantly different on insulin levels in two groups These results suggest that proper exercise intensity in diabetic rats can significantly decrease blood glucose and insulin level and make good glycemic control. In conclusion, it has been found that regular prolonged endurance training with diabetic rats, improves insulin and blood glucose.

      • 초등학생들의 체격지수가 체력요인에 미치는 영향

        The aim of this study make it clear the trait of physical strength according to Physique index and help the Physical fitness leaders to raise the function of exercise and provide them with study programs by stage in the sport learning. For this study 620 students (male & female students in 5 and 6 class of elementary school) were selected. The result of study show outstanding physical trait in body weight ratio and chest girth ratio. The results are the following. (1) The physical characteristics of the investigated children, around 5 class or 6 class, show that female children's growth is faster than male's. (2) The trait of Physical Fitness shows it is superior in male's group and as grow older, but the group of 5 class is more superior than the group of 6 class, in male's and female's pull-ups. (3) The correlation between physique index shows the highest correlation(P< .01) in body weight and girth of chest, next is height and sitting height, height and girth of chest, followed by girth of chest and sitting height. (4) The correlation between 100m sprint and physical fitness shows high positive interrelation(P< .01) in 600m distance run, but negative interrelation(P< .01) in standing broad jump, pull-ups, sit-ups and ball throwing. (5) The correlation between standing broad jump and physical fitness shows positive interrelation(P< .01) in sit-ups, pull-ups and ball throwing, but negative interrelation(P< .01) in 100m sprint and 600m distance run. (6) The correlation between pull-ups and physical fitness shows positive interrelation(P< .01) in sit-ups, standing broad jump and ball throwing, but negative interrelation(P< .01) in100m sprint and 600m distance run. (7) The correlation between sip-ups and physical fitness shows positive interrelation(P< .01) in standing broad jump, sit-ups and ball throwing, but negative interrelation(P< .01) in 100m sprint and 600m distance run. (8) The correlation between ball throwing and physical fitness shows positive interrelation(P< .01) in standing broad jump, pull-ups, sit-ups and ball throwing, but negative interrelation(P< .01) in 100m sprint and 600m distance run. (9) The correlation between 600m distance run and physical fitness shows high positive interrelation (P< .01) in 100m sprint, but negative interrelation (P< .01) in standing broad jump, pull-ups, sit -ups and ball throwing. (10) The correlation between physical fitness and physique index shows the highest correlation in body weight ratio, next is chest girth ratio, followed by sitting height ratio. (11) The correlation between body weight ratio and physical fitness shows positive interrelation (P<.01) in 100m sprint (male and female students in 5 class) and standing broad jump, sip-up (female students in 5 class), ball throwing (male students in 5 class) and 600m distance run, but negative interrelation(P< .01) in pull-ups etc. (12) The correlation between chest girth ratio and physical fitness shows positive interrelation (p<. 01) in 100m sprint and 600m distance run, but negative interrelation(P<. 01) standing broad jump, pull-ups, sit-ups and ball throwing etc. (13) The correlation between sitting height ratio and physical fitness shows positive interrelation (P<. 01) in pull-ups, sit-ups and ball throwing, but negativ interrelation(P< .01) in 100m sprint, standing broad jump, sit-ups and 600m distance run etc. (14) The correlation between physical index shows positive interrational (P< .01) body weight ratio and chest girth ratio, chest girth ratio and sitting height ratio, but negative interrelation in(P< .01) body weight ratio and sitting height ratio.

      • CORBA 기반 망관리 시스템 통합에 관한 연구

        통신망이 커지고 복잡해짐에 따라 통신망 관리는 더욱 중요해지고 있다. 이러한 통신망을 효율적으로 관리하기 위해 국제 표준화 그룹인 ITU와 ISO는 CMIS/CMIP 기반의 OSI망 관리 모델 [1]을 표준화하고 IAB에서는 SNMP [7] 기반 망관리 모델을 표준화하였다. 이들 망관리 모델은 통신망 요소들의 관리에는 효율적이지만 복잡한 망들의 관리나 서비스 관리에는 많은 문제들이 있다. 이러한 문제들을 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 분산 객체 지향 기술인 CORBA[3]를 이용하여 기존의 망관리 시스템들을 통합하기 위한 방법에 대해 기술한다. CORBA 기반 통합 망관리 구조를 제시하고 CORBA와 OSI망관리 모델사이의 관리정보 및 관리기능 변환 기능을 위한 CORBA/CMIP 게이트웨이 구조를 제시한다. 또한 COBRA 관리자에서 OSI객체들을 접근하기 위� 기법과 OSI객체에서 발생하는 이벤트를 CORBA 관리자에 전달하기 위한 기법들에 대해 기술한다. Network management systems become more important as the communications networks evolve larger and more complicated. For the efficient management of the communications networks, the international standard organizations, ITU and ISO, have standardized OSI network management model [1] based on CMIS/CMIP, and IAB has proposed SNMP [7]as the Internet management model. The traditional management models are efficient in managing simple communications netwrks, but have many problems in managing complicated networks and services. To solve those problems, this paper proposes an integration method of network management systems based on CORBA [3] which is a distributed and object-oriented technology. We describe an integrated network management architecture based on CORBA/CMIP gateway. The CORBA/CMIP gateway converts the management systems. We also describe how the CORBA managers access the OSI managed objects and how the events occurred in the OSI managed objects are delivered to the CORBA managers.

        경제규모에 따른 국가정보화전략 수립의 필수성공요소에 관한 연구 : 성공요소 도출과 전문가들의 인식 분석을 중심으로

        본 연구에서는 개도국을 중심으로 국가정보화 전략을 수립하는데 필요한 필수성공요소들을 도출하고 정의하였다. 정의된 필수성공요소들의 전략적 중요성에 대한 인식을 델파이 분석을 통하여 우선순위를 측정하였다. 또한 해외전문가들을 활용한 델파이 설문분석을 통하여 국가정보화전략의 수립을 고려함에 있어 선진국과 개도국간의 전략적 우선순위가 존재한다는 인식과 대상국가의 특성에 따라 정보화전략 수립을 위한 우선순위의 차별적 적용이 효과적인 전략수립에 있어 전제 조건임을 알 수 있었다. 선진국과 개도국, 그리고 후발개도국을 대상으로 고려되어야할 필수성공요소를 델파이 전문가들의 관점에서 도출하고 이에 대한 비교를 통하여 필수성공요소가 경제규모에 따라 다를 수 있음을 파악하였다. 본 연구는 국가정보화전략 수립 및 적용 효과에 대한 기존인식을 제고하여 경제규모에 따라 필수성공요소의 중요도와 우선순위를 차별화하는 것이 적절할 수 있음을 암시하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 국제기구 및 OECD 회원국들로 하여금 개도국들의 정보화 전략 수립을 지원할 때 전략적 우선순위를 반드시 고려토록 하는 인식을 확산시키는데 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

      • 컴퓨터를 이용한 협동적 문제해결수업 모형 제안

        The purpose of this paper is to develop an instruction model of information communication for a cooperative problem-solving type class based on the education information policy to be adapted for the overall subjects on the curriculum with a view to make teachers instruct the students at any class-hour through PC communication. In this regard, this paper surveyed the information mind-set among teachers, proposed a design of hardware/software instruction model for a cooperative problem-solving type class, and adapted the cooperative programs-solving instruction in the active classroom. The detailed study procedure is as follows, First, the survey is made on the relevant documentation and the actual school condition. The documents referring to the information education, such as the administrative guidelines by MOE, reports on the model teaching, research documents of these sorts are collected and analyzed to find the actual condition of the information education on school sites. And the information mind- set among teachers in Kwangju area are questionnaired on their involvement in electronic teaching system as from the year of 2000 to the first term of the information education project. Second, as for the teaching under the information communication technology (ICT), the teaching and learning model is proposed to be adapted in the development of the class utilizing ICT. The paper discussed a design of the class with ICT network environment equipped with multimedia hardware for educational use and proposed a cooperative problem-solving teaching system to be utilized in schools so that teachers and students can use the various educational software as developed in the following five steps of procedure as in assigning problems → collecting relevant data →analyzing findings → presenting results → evaluating the outcome rather than that steps of conventional procedure as in introduction → development → consolidation. Third, based on the previous model procedure, a teaching method is developed to be adapted in the school and demonstrated in the active class situation with the information communication environment. The students-initiative leaning was confirmed as they took the initiative in solving the problem, which was an uncommon class activity to be found in the conventional type of teaching and learning. In conclusion, the orientation of education should be reestablished in the education information age of the twenty first century as is the case that the student's learning attitude was active one with the reedited contents of textbook. In order to meet the requirement of the problem-solving teaching as proposed in this paper, an information communication network environment is designed for the existing classroom and a teaching and learning procedure is proposed for the student- initiative problem-solving learning. For the batter practice of the proposed hardware/software design, more computer system should by provided with in the classroom to be utilized by teachers and students to increase the efficiency of teaching and leaning.

        실용적인 외국어 교육의 수업평가 모형 개발 연구

        This is a report on the research project "Evaluating Practical Foreign Language Teaching Programs", which was done in 1993 at the Language Research Institute (LRI) of Seoul National University(SNU). There had been some criticism against the effectiveness of the foreign language teaching (FLT)programs at SNU and other institutions. First, we focused on providing a methodology for evaluating the LRI language teaching program at that time. We used three different types of questionnaires to get information from students: two for needs ananlysis and one for teaching evaluation. Second, we repeated the process of evaluating and improving the program on the basis of the survey done in each quarter. The analyses of the questionnaires allowed us to identify what the students want to obtain from the program. The findings of the present research strongly suggest that the students (and the teachers) be given appropriate academic incentives in order to maximize the effectiveness of the FLT program. We hope that the program evaluation model provided in this report sheds some light on how to improve existing programs and develop effective new programs.

        LCD산업의 성과분석과 리더쉽 유지가능성에 대한 고찰

        Learning effect has implication for the performance analysis for the LCD industry which is highly process oriented and capital intensive industry. In this study, we estimate the learning parameter in that industry and investigate the difference in learning across generations. Based on the estimated learning effect, we provide some implication for the question whether the leadership in the industry is sustainable or not.

      • 과학 수업에 대한 초등학교 아동의 감성 상태와 기억 유형과의 관계

        In this study, we examined their memories on science instruction and categorized them, and explored relationships between their emotional aspects and memory types. The study involved each three classes of the fifth- and sixth-grade students respectively who learned science topics through traditional ways. The amount of immediate memory on the instruction was highest in semantic one. In degrees of persistence of each memory type, which measured immediately and after one-week, the semantic and emotional memories decreased, whereas the episodic one increased. The more positive emotion the children had in science lesson, the more were total amounts of memories. In the positive emotional states, the proportion of semantic memory was higher than in the negative ones. On the other hand, episodic memory showed opposite trend. Boys and more episodic memories, whereas girls hand more semantic memories. The findings are discussed, including implications for science teaching.
