It is possible not only to treat high concentration organic matter such as food wastes but also to utilize food wastes as resources according to the bio-energy generation such as methane. The method of co-digestion of mixed wastewater mixed with organic wastes such as sewage sludge concentrated waters together with drinking wastewater is the most ideal method. Radiation not only has germicidal power in water treatment, but also is effective in decomposing degradable organic matter. Second chemical contamination problem is also solved because it does not use chemicals. Introduction of radiation pretreatment system to solve problems caused by mixing of waste water and organic waste resources. Biological electrochemical fusion system is used to remove the nutrients contained in the organic matter-removed mixture. Through the development of a system for treatment of high concentration wastewater, the processing efficiency is verified through the universal water treatment system for wastewater containing high concentration organic matter in addition to treatment of wastewater.

저자들은 발열, 체중감소 등의 증상과 흉부 X-선 사진상 폐경화의 소견이 있었던 환자에서 폐의 병변이 역형성 거대세포 림프종으로 추측되는 1례를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Anaplastic large cell lymphoma(ALCL) is a recently recognized large cell lymphoma characterized by large pleomorphic cells, with prominent nucleoli, expressing the CD30(Ki-1) antigen. It is often misdiagnosed as metastatic carcinoma, malignant histiocytosis or Hodgkin's disease. Primary pulmonary ALCL is extremely rare although it frequently involves extranodal sites, e.g. skin, bone, gastrointestinal tract, soft tissue and lung. We report a case of ALCL suspected as primarily involving lung.

The study was conducted to evaluate the difference of life style, subjective symptoms and health cognition depending on the Sasang Constitution in the industrial workers. The results were as follows ; Constitutional distribution among exposed group were Tae-eum In(38.4%), So-eum In(35.2%), and So-yang In(26.4%) and it was turned out that Tae-eum In took a higher portion of Sasang constitution than other constitutions in technician workers. 'Exercise' and 'Obesity' were found most in Tae-eum In, In So-eum In there were many 'Normal' weight and 'Having digestive disorders' were found most in So-eum In. There were no significant difference in the health cognition among the constitutions. The closer to 'normal' weight, the higher prevalence in 'having' concern about health condition and the more 'normal' condition in sleeping, the higher prevalence of 'having' self-confident in present health.
Rabson Mendenhall syndrome의 치험 증례 : A CASE REPORT

Rabson Mendenhall syndrome은 Rabson과 Mendenhall에 의해 1955년 처음 발표된 증후군으로서, 심한 insulin resistance를 보이는 희귀한 상염색체 열성 유전성 질환이다. Insulin receptor의 돌연변이나 insulin이 작용하는 다른 target cell의 결함에 의해 나타나며, 일반적인 증상으로는 흑색가시세포종(acanthosis nigricans), 다모증(hypertrichosis), 손발톱 비대 (onychauxis), 성장 지체 (growth retardation), 성 조숙(precocious puberty), 생식기의 비대, 팽만된 복부(protuberant abdomen), 건성 피부(xerotic skin) 등이 나타난다. 악안면 영역에서는 치아의 이형성, 거친 얼굴의 피부, 하악 전돌, 균열 혀 (fissured tongue)와 같은 특징적 증상이 나타난다. 이에 본 증례에서는 Rabson Mendenhall syndrome으로 본원에 내원한 4세 환아에게 관찰된 치과적 특징들에 관하여 보고하는 바이다. Rabson-Mendenhall syndrome(RMS) is first characterized in 1955 by Rabson and btendenhall. RMS is a rare autosomal recessive variant with insulin resistance. This is due to insulin receptor mutations or other target-cell defects in insulin action. General findings include acanthosis nigricans, hypertrichosis, onychauxis, growth retardation, precocious puberty genital enlargement, protuberant abdomen and xerotic skin. Characteristic oral and maxillofacial findings include dental dysplasia, coarse facial skin, prognathic jaw and fissured tongue. In this case report, dental characteristics of a 4-year old boy with Rabson-Mendenhall syndrome are described.

The synergistic antioxidation effect of α-tocopherol and soybean phospholipid was examined by measuring peroxide value at 100℃, 150℃ and 200℃ with time. Various concentrations of tocopherol and phospholipid were added to the edible soybean oil respectively. When phospholipid was not added the antioxidation effect of tocopherol was more found at 0.01% addition level than 0.05% or 0.1% additional level. In the case of phospholipid was added the antioxidation effect was more significantly found than phospholipid not added and, when the addition level of tocopherol was increased the antioxidation effect of phospholipid was found at higher phospholipid addition level. But at the low addition level of tocopherol, the high phospholipid addition level was decreased antioxidation effect. When the 0.05% tocopherol and 0.1% phospholipid was added to the edible sobean oil at 100℃, the antioxidation effect was exhibited to maximum and also, 0.05% tocopherol and 0.05% phospholipid at 150℃ too. The antioxidation effect was increased with an increase phospholipid addition level at 100℃ but at the low addition level of topherol, the antioxidation effect was decreased with an increase phospholipid concentrations at 150℃. The antioxidation effect was not significantly different from phospholipid and tocopherol at 200℃

Edible rapeseed oil containing about 30% erucic acid was hydrogenated using nickel catalyst under 1 atm. and other various reaction conditions. Physicochemical change of the reaction products was examined by measuring iodine value, refractive index and melting point. Also, the kinetics was studied by measuring iodine value. The results obtained are as followed: It was found that the hydrogenation of rapeseed oil at 170℃ and 0.1% catalyst level was followed the first-order kinetic, and the rate constant was calculated to be 3.9×10^-3 min^-1·Iodine value was decreased with an increase of reaction temperature, time and catalyst concentration. Refractive index and melting point were increased with a decrease of iodine value. The correlation factor between refractive index and iodine value was RI=0.00015 IV+1.4512.
흰쥐에서 탄수화물 종류가 운동시 당 및 지질대사에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of glucose, sucrose, and glucose polymer(GP) ingestion on the carbohydrate and lipid metabolism during treadmill running in rats. Rats were randomly assigned to normal, control and carbohydrate groups. Carbohydrate group was divided into glucose, sucrose and GP ingested rats. The experiment was carried out after overnight fasting. Rats were administrated either normal saline(control) or carbohydrates solutions of formulated glucose(6%), sucrose(6%) and GP(6%) via polyethlene tube to stomach before treadmill run. Exercise was loaded by a treadmill run at the speed of 1 km/hour for 30, 60 and 120 minutes. The results of experiment were as follows: Plasma glucose levels were decreased in proportion to the exercise time in control, but increased at treadmill run 30 minutes and then gradually decreased with the lapse of the exercise time in carbohydrates compared with normal rats. It decreased in control, glucose, sucrose and GP compared with normal rats in decreasing order at treadmill run 120 minutes(% change of plasma glucose level of control, glucose, sucrose and GP compared with normal rats were 67, 74, 87 and 91 in plasma glucose level at treadmill run 120 min., respectively). Plasma lactate levels were increased by the exercise loading compared with normal in control and carbohydrates ingested rats. It increased in control, sucrose and GP in increasing order compared with normal rats, at treadmill run 120 minutes(% change of plasma lactate level of control, glucose, sucrose and GP compared with normal rats were 167, 185, 149 and 114 in plasma lactate level at treadmill run 120 min., respectively). Plasma FFA levels had tendency to increase by the exercise loading compared with normal in control and carbohydrates ingested rats. It showed increase in the sucrose, glucose, GP and control rats in Increasing order compared with normal rats at treadmill run 120 minutes(% change of plasma FFA level of control, glucose, sucrose and GP compared with normal rats were 151, 153, 166 and 152 in plasma FFA level at treadmill run 120 min., respectively). Plasma acetoacetate levels were higher in control compared with carbohydrates ingested rats at treadmill run 30, 60 and 120 minutes. Plasma beta-hydroxybutyrate levels increased by exercise compared with normal rats in control and carbohydrates ingested rats at treadmill run 30, 60, 120 minutes. Plasma insulin levels were decreased in proportion to the exercise time in control compared with normal rats, but in carbohydrates ingested rats increased at treadmill run 30 minutes and then gradually deceased with the lapse of the exercise time compared with normal. In carbohydrates ingested rats, plasma insulin levies were higher than control. Hematocrit did not show any difference between control and carbohydrates rats at treadmill run 30, 60 and 120 minutes. From these experimental results, it is suggested that the exhaustion of skeletal muscle glycogen, the hypoglycemia, the overproduction of lactate and dehydration is delayed in carbohydrates ingested rats. GP of the carbohydrates is considered as the most effective for these effects. Therefore, intake of carbohydrates before exercise, especially GP seems to increase performance in the prolonged moderate exercise.

A inveatigation in water system in Okjung lake for the pollution loading and self purification capacity, the nitrate concentration, as a pollution loading index, was 0.2-0.3mM in Sumjin river and Sangchi stream. Imsil stream was mainly pollution source in water system of Okjung lake. Nitrate concentration of Okjung lake was 0.06-0.1mM. This results was mean that the capacity of self-purification of Okjung lake have in reserve.
