<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>In this paper, we show the energy decay rate for a von Karman system with a boundary nonlinear delay term. This work is devoted to investigate the influence of kernel function g and the effect of the boundary nonlinear term <SUB> μ 1 </SUB> <SUP> | <SUB> u t </SUB> ( t ) | m − 1 </SUP> <SUB> u t </SUB> ( t ) , a boundary nonlinear time delay term <SUB> μ 2 </SUB> <SUP> | <SUB> u t </SUB> ( t − τ ) | m − 1 </SUP> <SUB> u t </SUB> ( t − τ ) and prove energy decay rates of solutions when g do not necessarily decay exponentially and the boundary condition has a time delay.</P>

In this paper, a flapping wing system utilizing extension spring and resonant frequency is proposed. It uses extension spring instead of torsional spring, that makes the system simple and easy to design. The proposed flapping wing system is constructed using a DC motor, an extension spring, a pinion gear, a spur gear, and a flapping wing. It is found that the proposed flapping wing system works well without fatigue failure or mechanical deformation of the spring. We fabricated a flying robot using a pair of flapping systems. For thrust control of the flying robot, 4-layered printed circuit board which consists of microcontroller and inertial measurement unit is designed and attached on flying robot. Clap and fling effect is occurred at 6V, 24Hz which is natural frequency. When it is mounted on a frame capable of moving only in the vertical direction, flying robot was possible to rise, hover and fall by adjusting input sine wave signal.
새로운 색종이 모자이크 모양 결정과 입체감 생성 알고리즘에 관한 연구

본 논문에서는 색종이를 찢어 붙이는 모자이크 효과를 표현하는 영역 분할에 기반한 색종이 모자이크 렌더링 기법과 모자이크 작품에 그림자효과를 추가함으로써 입체감을 표현할 수 있는 방법을 소개하고자 한다. 본 논문에서 제안된 색종이 모자이크 렌더링 기법은 입력영상의 특징을 영역분할기법을 이용하여 추출한 후에 모자이크 모양을 결정하기 때문에 기존의 보로노이 다이어그램을 이용하여 영상영역을 균일한 사이즈의 모자이크로 분할하는 방법보다 다양한 크기의 모자이크를 생성할 수 있으며 또한 이미지의 특징이 잘 표현 될 수 있도록 모자이크의 위치를 결정할 수 있다. 이렇게 함으로써 실제에서 나타날 수 있는 색종이 모자이크작품을 만들어 낼 수 있다. 그리고 붙여진 모자이크 종이의 두께 차이로 인해 생기는 그림자를 생성함으로써 실제 모자이크 작품에서 나타날 수 있는 입체감을 표현할 수 있다. This paper proposes a colored paper mosaic rendering technique based on image segmentation that can automatically generate torn and tagged colored paper mosaic effect. and 3D effect that come about in human-made mosaic work can be represented by generating shadow using difference of paper thickness. Previous method did not produce satisfactory results due to the ineffectiveness of having to use pieces of the same size. The proposed two methods for determination of paper shape and location that are based on segmentation can subdivide image area by considering characteristics of image. The first method is to generate Voronoi polygon after subdividing the segmented image again using quad tree. And the second method is to apply the Voronoi diagram on each segmentation layer. Through these methods, the characteristic of the image is expressed in more detail than previous colored paper mosaic rendering method and these methods enable to produce image that is closer to human-made mosaic work.
소형승합차량 및 RV차량의 유해대기오염물질(HAPs) 배출특성에 관한 연구

Hazardous air pollutants(HAPs) are emitted from motor vehicles are known or suspected to have serious health effect. However, we don't have any regulation or standard related to HAPs from mobile source so far. Now HAPs control strategies are highly needed and must to be conducted research and analysis on mobile source. This study focus on the investigation of the characteristics of exhaust emission and estimate the HAPs emission factors in light duty diesel and LPG vehicle. Sampling and analytical methods to be settled in 2004 were used. EPA TO-14 method(Toxic Organic), TO-11A method, CARB SOP 028 method(California Air Resource Board Standard Operating Procedure) and Korean air pollution measurement methods were chosen for VOCs, Aldehydes, PAHs and metals respectively. These results will provide some information on the characteristics of HAPs from mobile source and be used for proper decision making of HAPs management like establishment of environmental quality standards in Korea.
