        Nd-YAP laser 를 적용한 치주-근관 복합병소의 치료에 대한 고찰

        Purpose : The aim of this study was to show the clinical results of combination of Nd-YAP (1340nm) laser therapy with conventional endodontic and periodontal treatment. Materials and Methods : Four patients with chronic advanced periodontitis and endodontic infection were treated with conventional treatment and Nd-YAP laser therapy. Occlusal adjustment and splinting were done for stabilization of the teeth with severe horizontal and vertical mobility. The protocol for periodontal treatment was followed as scaling and root planing, pocket irrigation with 3% H2O2, and exposure of Nd-YAP laser using 320㎛ optical fiber with 160mJ/pluse, 30Hz. The other protocol for endodontic treatment was followed as access opening, canal preparation by hand and rotary instrument, canal filling, and exposure of Nd- YAP laser using 200㎛ optical fiber with 200mJ/pluse, 10Hz and 180mJ/pluse, 5Hz which were used respectively for disinfection and canal filling. The assessments of probing depth, mobility, and radiography were made prior to and after treatment. Result: All of these four clinical cases showed good healing of periodontium, which presented decrease of mobility and pocket depth, and increase of bone regeneration and bone density on the radiography. Conclusion : The bactericidal effect of Nd-YAP laser would provide benefits for improving clinical results that are obtained from conventional therapy.

        It is regrettable that the number of diabetic patients increases every year even though many medical institutions provide rational care for chronic diabetes mellitus and the best services in excellent facilities. Therefore, it is desperately needed to prepare the guidance to help the diabetic patients overcome the disease and to prevent the exacerbation especially for the patients who failed the self-medication and suffered from a lot of problems due to the exacerbation. We selected 156 diabetic out-patients at our hospital and examined their clinical charts and prescription to find problems. We will offer more remarkable care for diabetic patients by solving the problems we have found through this survey

        The Musculoskeletal Disease has been ignored or turned away due to the difficulty of diagnosis and the vagueness of judgement up to now. Contrary to other diseases, there were many cases where the character of the Musculoskeletal Disease wasn't revealed through the objective inspection. And that's because the Musculoskeletal Disease appears for the most part due to muscular defect so it is impossible to diagnose the muscle by X-ray diagnosing the bone and it is also impossible to diagnose the fine damage of the muscle or tendon even by advanced device like MRI. As the nervous blood vessels or acupunctures pass through or are next to the muscle, the tension of the muscle put pressure on these so can become the direct or indirect causes of various kinds of pains or intern diseases. But in spite of that, for lack of proper equipment diagnosing the state of the muscle(Shortened.. Relaxed... or Hardened...) the muscle has been disregarded or neglected intentionally or unintentionally. While many people think themselves to be a muscular expert, if they don't see the shape of the muscle, that is just like blind treatment. But as now the equipment diagnosing the state of the muscle is developed, it seems that this problem can be settled. It was attempted in this study that the muscle or skeleton of the Musculoskeletal disease patients was diagno the treatment order and method were decided by a questionnaire survey and simple inspection, and the Musculoskeletal correction exercise using the muscle management and sling system made them escape from the Musculoskeletal disease, turning their muscle into more flexible and stronger muscle. As a result notwithstanding the limited treatment period '12 times', the improvement rate was as high as 74%, which showed that the muscle management and Musculoskeletal correction exercise had a great effect on the symptom improvement of the patients. If the treatment times had increased, the improvement rate also would have increased more.

        토양 방선균 KRA16-334 배양 여액의 돼지풀 방제효과

        토양 방선균 KRA16-334 균주 배양여액의 돼지풀에 대한 방제효과를 온실 및 포장조건에서 수행하여 돼지풀 방제제 후보소재로서의 가능성을 검토하였다. 본 균주 배양 여액은 온실조건에서 돼지풀 초·중·후기 경엽처리 시 처리 농도범위에서 우수한 방제 활성을 보였으며, 2회 체계처리에서 4배 희석액 처리농도까지 우수한 방제효과를 나타내었다. 선발 균주 KRA16-334 배양여액의 돼지풀에 대한 살초특성은 속효성이었고 약효가 2주 이상 지속되는 특성을 확인하였다. 외형적으로는 처리 초기에 황화 증상이 발현되었다가 고사로 진행되어 사멸되는 양상을 보였다. 선발 후보소재 토양 방선균 KRA16-334 균주는 국내 환경 및 식생 조건에서 생태계교란 광엽잡초인 돼지풀에 대한 친환경적인 방제제로서 유용하게 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. Ambrosia artemisifilia (Rag weed) is one of the first ecosystem-disrupting plant designated by the Ministry of Environment, and it is found to be distributed in the largest area among ecosystem-disrupting plants in Korea. This study was conducted to control A. artemisiifilia with KRA16-334 broth filtrate. The broth filtrate of the KRA16-334 was applied to A. artemisiifilia in a greenhouse. The results showed that the foliar applications of KRA16-334 broth filtrate at all application rates demonstrated excellent herbicidal activity against the early (2-3 Ls), middle (4-5 Ls), and late (7-8 Ls) stages of A. artemisiifilia. Two times of KRA16-334 broth filtrate application suppressed regrwoth of A. artemisiifilia shoot. The main symptom of external manifestation was water soaked dots within 24 hours after treatment and continued to the appearance of chlorosis and proceeded to leaf burn-down, ultimately defoliations to dead plants. Our results show that the KRA16-334 broth filtrate can be utilized as a natural and eco-friendly herbicide against A. artemisiifilia that is one of the broad-leaved weeds disturbing Korean ecosystems.
