      • T-scan을 이용한 교합분석에 관한 연구

        Occlusion should be evaluated in view of the normal physiologic individual variations, and properly treated for good occlusal conditions that have harmonious that harmonious interrelation to masticatory functions. To do so, thorough knowledge and close examination on dental morphology, occlusal contacts during excursions, the mandibular movements, masticatory muscles and tempormandibular joint are essential to vevry clinician. Occlusal contacts during movements is as much important as other components or parameters above mentioned because it reflets not morphohologic status but functional dynamic demands and abilites of masticatory system. The objectives of this study was to investigate and analyze the effects of chewing side and lateral guidance pattern on the occlusal contacts. The author selected 65 students in Wonkwang University Dental College who had not any mandibu-lar dysfunction, and no extensive dental treatment history and also selected 60 patients visiting dentalinfirmary with temporomandibular disorder. They classified by chewing side preference and lateral guidance pattern into 4 groups. To record occlusal tooth contacts, T-Scan System (Tekscan Inc., U,S,A) was used on maximal clenching Record was done 3 times for accuracy, for every subject. The data was analyzed on 3 items which were number of tooth contact points, distribution of early contact points and average contact time intervals, and then, tested statistically. The obtained results were as follows: 1. The range of contact points on both sides in all groups were from 28 to 32. Bilateral canine guidance group had the most contact points, and unilateral non-canine guidance group had the least. Statistical difference between right and left side(or ipsilateral and contralateral side) were noted inallgroups. 2. In normal group, the degree of accordance of early contact points with preferred chewing side was higher in non-canine guidance groups, which was more prominent in case combined with uniateral chewing. And in patient group, result of canine guidance group was the same as normal group but that of the non-canine group was contrary to normal group. 3. Average contact time intervals in normal group were from 0.015 to 0.019sec, and showed no statistical difference among 4 groups. But, there was a tendency that the intervals were increased with canine guidance and/or unilateral chewing pattern. And average contact time intervals in patient group were higher than that of normal group as from 0.037 to 0.044sec, but there was no significance statistically.

      • 여기신호 생성 알고리즘의 VHDL 구현

        In this paper, we have designed the excitation signal generation algorithm of MPEG-4 audio CELP(Code Excitation Linear Prediction) using VHDL(Very High Integrated Circuit Hardware Description Language). It is consist of a add and multiplication such as general DSP(Discrete Signal Processor). We have optimized to reduce required computation cost. Especially, we have used characterization of information which has redundancy to minimize memory size and access time. In addition, we have designed to minimize error using dynamic precision operation for part of distortion with fixed point bit operation, when the dynamic range is over in result. It is a basic studying for MPEG-4 audio CELP decoder, and will be using ASIC design of the MPEG-4 Audio CELP decoder. We have compared VM(Verification Model) source based on a real speech signal consist of the C language with the VHDL code to confirm accuracy of the VHDL code. In result, we have found that both of them are almost similar.

      • 약한 외부자장에 의한 유도결합형 플라즈마에서의 Helicon wave발생에 관한 연구

        본 연구에서는 대면적 금속반응기에 I3.56MHz RF 전력을 인가하여 ICP(Inductively Coupled Plasma)를 발생하고, 외부에 약한 자기장(B<70G)을 인가하였을 때 플라즈마 내부에서 helicon wave의 전파현상을 관찰하였다. 기존의 ICP에 사용되는 안테나와 달리 직경이 서로 다른 두 개의 1turn 안테나를 직렬연결하여 안테나의 내부와 외부에 흐르는 전류의 방향을 반대가 되도록 하였다. 안테나에 의해 유도되는 자기장의 시간에 따른 변화량( ∂B/ ∂t)을 자기탐침을 이용하여 측정하였으며 유도되는 자기장의 θ방향성분을 측정하여 비대칭성을 갖는 m =1 mode임을 확인하였다. 발생된 플라즈마의 밀도는 Langmuir탐침을 이용하여 측정하였고, 측정된 밀도는 2.4 X 10^(10)cm^(-3) ~ 2.25 X 10^(11)cm^(-3) 이었다. 측정한 밀도와 외부에 주어진 자기장을 dispersion relation에 대입하여 계산된 wave number와 자기탐침을 이용하여 측정한 wave number를 비교하여 전파된 wave가 helicon wave 와 일치함을 확인하였다. This study was on the helicon wave propagation in an ICP(Inductively Coupled Plasma), which was generated by I3.56MHz RF power in a large area metal chamber with low external B-field(B<70G). Unlike a usual antenna for ICP, two different diameter I-turn antenna was connected in serial to opposing a current flowing the inner and the outer antenna. Time dependent B-Field( ∂B/ ∂t ), induced by the antenna was measured by a magnetic probe. It was confirmed m=I mode wave propagation by measuring θ component of the induced B-field. Plasma density was measured by Langmuir probe. It was 2.4 X 10^(10)cm^(-3) ~ 2.25 X 10^(11)cm^(-3)? By comparing a wavenumber which is calculated from the measured density and external B-field to a wavenumber measured by the magnetic probe, the helicon wave propagation has been confirmed.

      • 반복 사용된 IPS Empress 2의 표면경도와 pressing accuracy에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the possibility on recycling of IPS Empress 2 ceramic for wide application of IPS Empress 2 ceramic in prosthodontic treatment. 1st, 2nd and 3rd pressed disc-shaped(10X1.5mm) IPS Empress 2 specimens were made with IPS Empress ingot(200, Ivoclar, Liechtenstein, Germany ) and pressing furnace(IPS Empress EP 500, Ivoclar, Liechtenstein, Germany). Vicker's surface hardness and fracture toughness, acid resistance, and pressing accuracy of IPS Empress 2 ceramic were measured and analyzed. Surface hardness was measured by microhardness tester(MTX 70, Matsuzawa, Japan). before and after surface treatment with 0.5% hydrofluoric acid and carbonic acid(Coca cola) for evaluation of acid resistance. The obtained results from this study were as follows: 1. The surface hardness of 1st pressed specimen was the higher(5.11 GPa) than those of 2nd pressed( 4.89 GPa) and 3rd pressed specimen(4.86 GPa). 2. The fracture toughness of 1st pressed (1.58 MPam^1/2)and 2nd pressed specimen(1.51 MPam^1/2) were higher than that of 3rd pressed specimen(1.39 MPam^1/2). 3. The changes of surface hardness of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd pressed specimens after treatment with fluoric acid were 0.17, 0.06, 0.05GPa respectively, and those of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd pressed specimens after treatment with carbonic acid were 0.07, 0.00, 0.05MPa respectively. 4. The pressing accuracy of 1st, 2nd and 3rd specimen were 77.22%, 85.681%, and 75.05%. The pressing accuracy of 2nd pressed specimen was higher than that of the 3rd specimen. The changes of physical properties according to recycling of IPS Empress 2 from this study were insignificant. Therefore the possibility of recycling of IPS Empress 2 can be suggested from the results.

      • 상아질 결합제의 생체적합성에 관한 연구

        This study was investigated to evaluate the biocompatibility of dentin bonding agents. The 4th generation dentin bonding agents such as Scothbond Multi-Purpose(3M, USA), Clearfil Liner Bond 2(Kuraray, Japan), All Bond 2(Bisco, USA), and 5th generation dentin bonding agents such as Single bond(3M, USA) Prime & Bond NT(Dentsply, Germany), and One Step(Bisco, USA) were used in this study. The viability of normal human pulp cell, gingival fibroblast, immortalized gingival fibroblast and HaCaT cell was measured in vim for evaluation of cytotoxicity on dentin bonding agents, and the response of pulp tissue(organotypic tooth slice culture) was analyzed and evaluated with light microscope after application of dentin bonding agents at cutting incisor edge of rats. The results obtained from this study were as follows : I. The gingival fibroblast was the most sensitive to toxicity of dentin bonding and HaCaT cell was the least. 2. The cytotoxicity of One step was low and that of ScotchbondScotchbond Multi-purpose was high in pulp cell and immortalizedginggival fibroblast. 3. The cytotoxicity of the 5th generation dentin bonding agent was lower than that of 4th generation dentin bonding agent in gingival fibroblast 4. Scotchbond Multi-Purpose showed the highest cytotoxicity comparativelyn most cells including HaCaT cell. 5. At 2 days after cultivation of tooth slice organ, them was no significant change in alveolar bone and periodontal ligament according to dentin boading apts. Odntoblasts and pulp cell population was excellent in the 5th generation dentin bonding agents after 2 days cultivation, and the similar response of odntoblasts and pulp cell was revealedafter 10 days cultivation. Collectively, in vim, cell viability and tooth slice organ culture test revealed similar results. From this study, we find out the some tendency that Scotbond Milti-Purpose is relatively more cytotoxic and One-Step is less

      • 결합면 형태가 이장용 레진의 결합강도에 미치는 영향

        This study was performed to investigate the effect of surface design on bond strength of relining denture base resins to denture base acrylic resin. Heat curing resin(Lucitone 199, Dentsply U.S.A. and Vertex, Dentimex, Holland), self curing resin(Tokuso rebase, Tokuyama, Japan), and visible light curing resin(Triad, Dentsply, U.S.A.) were used in this study. The surface designs were classified as butt, bevel and rabbet joint and the bond strength was measured by Universial Testing Machine(Zwick Z020, Zwick Co., Germany). The obtained results from study were as follows; 1. The bond strength of Vertex resin was higher than those of Tokuso rebase and Triad. 2. The bond strength of rabbet and bevel joint was higher than that of butt joint. 3. The failure mode of Triad and Tokuso rebase was mainly adhesive, but cohesive failure was showed in Vertex mainly.
