Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify related factors of perceived delirium assessment ability (PDAA)of clinical nurses. Methods: A descriptive survey design with a convenience sampling was used with 266 nurses who were recruited from P university hospital. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, ANOVA, Pearson correlation, and stepwise multiple regression with the SPSS/WIN 18.0 program. Results: Nurses scored low for knowledge of symptoms and management of delirium. Factors related to PDAA were ‘sufficiency in opportunities for education about delirium’ (β=.325, p<.001), ‘experience of caring for patients with delirium’ (β=.228, p<.001),‘duration of work’ (β=.139, p = .004), and ‘level of knowledge on delirium’ (β=.128, p = .021). These variables explained 24.2% of the variance in PDAA. Conclusion: Findings of the study indicate that nurses need up-to-date educational programs that include actual practices of delirium assessment as well as global knowledge of delirium. Because most nursing floors do not have care manuals for patients with delirium, having care manuals and corresponding educations is essential. Further studies including participants from broader geographical areas and methodology to examine the effects of educational program on PDAA are warranted to enhance the generalizability of the findings and examine the effectiveness of the program.

Extrapyramidal signs (EPSs) frequently accompany Alzheimer's disease(AD). However, the pathogenesis or pathologic basis for the EPSs in AD remains unclear. We report a case of presenile onset progressive dementia later associated with hemiparkinsonism. Brain biopsy showed neurofibrillary tangles and amyloid plaques. compatible with Alzheimer's disease. There are a few report about dopamine transporter imaging of AD with EPSs. 1-123 IPT SPECT revealed a decreased uptake in both basal ganglia, more severe on the left side and in the caudal putamen, which is consistent with the finding of idiopathic Parkinson's disease. Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease are thought to be coexistent in our patient.

What Happens When Luxury Brands are Sold via Online Shopping?: Comparing the Online Shopping Model Between a Luxury Brand and a Mass Brand

Despite the emerging growth of luxury shopping online, there have been few studies examining what happens when luxury brands are sold online, from the perspectives of product quality and online shopping values perspective. Thus, this study developed an online shopping model, which was then empirically tested with structural equation modeling. Using a two-factorial research design, this study looked at a luxury brand (Chanel) by comparing a massbrand (Uniqlo) as the control variable. Data was obtained, using a within - subject survey, from 275 luxury consumers. Overall, the results showed that people perceived the brand quality of luxury and mass brands differently, when these products were sold online. Luxury consumers had the low quality perception on luxury brands online, and the positive relationship between the quality perception and shopping value for luxury brands was weaker than for mass brands. In contrast to the previous shopping literature, the study found that the online shopping values for luxury brands and entertainment did not affect purchase intention. Financial risk had a strong negative impact on online shopping values and positively influenced search intention. The results found that the online shopping values did not influence purchase intention online because of the low perception of luxury brand quality and a perception of high financial risk perception associated with online shopping. For the managerial implication, both luxury manufacturers and online retailers should be cautious when selling luxury brands online. They need to develop better online shopping value offerings, such as low financial risk and high entertainment.

This paper describes the design and implementation of rapid prototype for demographic simulation based on Agent-Based Modeling (ABM) on Pandora framework. The purpose of this project is to analyze the size of demography and the construction of demography based on social and economic status. Actually, 2005 census data was used to generate initial population in the Simulation. The Simulati on was performed on HP Moonshot clustering system with 45 nodes.

Effective Early Literacy Intervention for English Language Learners at Risk for Reading Difficulties and Language Support for Translation Students

This literature review described effective instructional approaches and literacy curricula to teach essential reading skills to English language learners (ELLs) at risk for reading difficulties and investigate the applicability of these effective literacy instructional strategies for translation students who are required to linguistically and culturally be responsive to both their native language and second language. Findings indicated that explicit instruction through the direct instruction approach was effective with ELLs struggling with reading. Teaching methods that incorporate evidence-based instruction in general educational settings into supplemental, intensive, small group instruction are deemed effective for these students. In addition, intervention studies on the effectiveness of commercial reading programs provided evidence for the applicability and feasibility for ELLs at risk for reading problems. There is also a need to investigate how to take advantage of first language for second language acquisition given a translation that is effective for both learning and teaching.

대두유와 슈크로오스 지방산 에스테르 첨가 녹두전분 겔의 상온 저장시의 관능적, 텍스쳐 특성

This study was attempted to investigate the sensoy and textural characteristics of mungbean starch gels with soy bean oil and sucrose fatty acid ester(SE) addition during room temperature storage. Freshly prepared mungbean starch gels, with and without soy bean oil and SE, were stored at 25 C for 24,48 and 72 hours. The color value, syneresis, texture and sensoy properties of the gels were measured. The lightness&) of the gels with soy bean oil and without additives was similar whereas that with SE was lower than that without additives. Syneresis of the gels with soy bean oil and SE was lower than that without additives. Rupture stress, rupture straii and rupture energy of the freshly prepared gel with 2-4% soy bean oil were increased, but there were no differences in rupture properties between the gel with soy bean oil and that without additives. Rupture stress, rupture strain and rupture energy of all the gels with SE were decreased. Addition of soy bean oil to the gel did not change the texture profile of the gel, whereas hardness, springiness and chewiness of the gel with SE were decreased. In sensoy evaluation, the acceptability of freshly prepared gel with soy bean oil was similar to that without additives, whereas that of the gel with 2% soy bean oil stored for 24 hours was higher than that without additives. The acceptabilily of the gel with SE was decreased significantly.

We described the major features of the improvement and extension for Seoul Women's University homepage, which implemented on Feb. 1997 for the first time. After an overall estimate for the previous homepage, we changed the schema design wholly and extended the BBS under ORACLE WebServer platform. CGI programming methodology is described with both the installation of ORACLE Listener and the introduction of some application examples.

The purpose of this study was to examine the correlations between cut fl ow changes and hair stylings by the treatment angle of increase layer shapes. For this, such 12 hair stylings as C curls, S curls and out curls were worked out, thus examining its correlations with cut fl ow changes. Study fi ndings are as follows. First, as for the change of layer shapes by the guideline positions and treatment angles of increase layers. In the perpendicular parting, it formed short layers and diagonal back fl ows around the face in the diagonal front parting, it presented slightly rhythmic senses and strong diagonal back fl ows in the short hair in the front and its nape length was longest in the horizontal parting, it showed short length shapes around the face and created the same feel of material around the head, thus presenting the sense of very light and in the diagonal back parting, the fl ow of layers went down to the opposite direction and hair was accumulated around the line of face, thus creating a weighty sense. Second, as for the correlations between the fl ow of C curls, S curls and out curls and curls. In the perpendicular parting, curl waves were created around the face, thus presenting the sense of fl exibility and refi ned beauty in the diagonal front parting, the fl ow of curl was created in a strong diagonal back, thus presenting the sense of softness, elegance and stability in the horizontal parting, curls were created on all the parts of head, thus showing the sense of liberty, activity and gorgeousness and in the diagonal back parting,the zone of weight was created around the face, thus presenting a slightly weighty curl fl ow.

인터넷 쇼핑몰과 케이블 TV 홈쇼핑 이용자들의 의류제품 구매특성 비교연구

The purpose of this study is to research the reasons of this outcome by comparing the consumers purchasing characteristics of the Internet shopping mall and cable TV home shopping. A questionnaire was designed for on-line survey panels residing in Korea and the period of the survey was from July 30 to August 6, 2002. 1362 questionnaires were collected and 665 were chosen. The Frequency, %, t-test, and x2-test was performed using Korean version of SPSS10.0. The summarized results of this study are as follows: The reasons of purchasing Apparel products through Internet and Cable TV home shopping are low price, time Saving, and convenience. The Item that is purchased most often at the Internet shopping mall is casual T-shirt. In case of the cable TV home shopping, it is inner-wears. Most of the users were satisfied with the home shopping. There are significant difference 'inexpensiveness of price', 'variety of product', 'sufficiency of product information', 'easiness of searching product', 'security of personal information', 'convenience of order' in the side of consumers satisfaction. The reason of not using the media shopping are as follows: 'Distrust of the product' appeared one of the main reason of not using internet shopping mall and cable TV home shopping, accounting for 34.3%(Internet)/25.3%(Cable TV) of all respondents, followed by 'absence of products(18.7%)'. In case of the cable TV home shopping, 'lack of necessity of home shopping(24.7%)' was the main reason.
