오픈소스 IDS/IPS Suricata를 적용한 Windows7과 Ubuntu 성능 비교 분석

Nowadays, It is undeniable that the threat of network security is growing as time flows due to worldwide development of wire/wireless, various Internet platform and sophisticated hacking techniques. The amount of traffics that Network security solution has to handle is increasing and recently many occurrence of explosive traffic attacks from PulseWave are being observed which has many similar characteristics to New DDos. Medium and small sized firms abroad have developed and distributed Snort and Suricata that are based on open-source Intrusion Detection System(IDS) / Intrusion Prevention System (IPS). The goal of this study is to compare between Windows7 by applying suicata 4.0.0 32bit version and Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS by applying suicata 4.0.0 version which is an open source Intrusion Detection System / Intrusion Protection System that uses multi threads method. This experiment's environment was set as followed C1100 server model of Dell, Intel Xeon CPU L5520 2.27GHz*2 with 8 cores and 16 threads, 72GB of RAM, Samsung SSD 250GB*4 of HDD which was set on RAID0. According to the result, Suricata in Ubuntu is superior to Suricata in Windows7 in performance and this result indicates that Ubuntu's performance is far advanced than Windows7. This meaningful result is derived because Ubuntu that applied Suricata used multi core CPU and RAM more effectively.

A derivation method for a quantized gradient for machine learning on an embedded system is proposed, in this paper. The proposed differentiation method induces the quantized gradient vector to an objective function and provides that the validation of the directional derivation. Moreover, mathematical analysis shows that the sequence yielded by the learning equation based on the proposed quantization converges to the optimal point of the quantized objective function when the quantized parameter is sufficiently large. The simulation result shows that the optimization solver based on the proposed quantized method represents sufficient performance in comparison to the conventional method based on the floating-point system.

A novel fast algorithm is suggested for a coding unit (CU) mode decision using pseudo rate-distortion based on a separated encoding structure in High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC). A conventional HEVC encoder requires a large computational time for a CU mode prediction because prediction and transformation procedures are applied to obtain a rate-distortion cost. Hence, for the practical application of HEVC encoding, it is necessary to significantly reduce the computational time of CU mode prediction. As described in this paper, under the proposed separated encoder structure, it is possible to decide the CU prediction mode without a full processing of the prediction and transformation to obtain a rate-distortion cost based on a suitable condition. Furthermore, to construct a suitable condition to improve the encoding speed, we employ a pseudo rate-distortion estimation based on a Hadamard transformation and a simple quantization. The experimental results show that the proposed method achieves a 38.68% reduction in the total encoding time with a similar coding performance to that of the HEVC reference model.

Recent growth of hacking threats and development in software and technology put Network security under threat, In addition, intrusion, malware and worm virus have been increased due to the existence of variety of sophisticated hacking methods. The goal of this study is to compare Snort Alpha version with Suricata 2.0.11 version whereas previous study focuses on comparison between snort 2. x version under thread environment and Suricata under multi-threading environment. This thesis' experiment environment is set as followed. Intel (R) Core (TM) i5-4690 3. 50GHz (4threads) of CPU, 16GB of RAM, 3TB of Seagate HDD, Ubuntu 14.04 are used. According to the result, Snort Alpha version is superior to Suricata in performance, but Snort Alpha had some glitches when executing pcap files which created core dump errors. Therefore this experiment seeks to analyze which performs better between Snort Alpha version that supports multi packet processing threads and Suricata that supports multi-threading. Through this experiment, one can expect the better performance of beta and formal version of Snort in the future.

Nowadays number of old neighborhood facilities which have been used without change since their first establishments confront to be activated to change the Interior and exterior of those buildings for the more efficient use. With the needs of the renovation being growing up rapidly at this time, to analyze various renovation cases and to find the effective evaluation method should be studied for the proper architectural planning. As a result of this study, the followings are suggested. First, the renovation can be the conduct which is occurred by socio·cultural factors as well as the life span of the buildings. Second, the renovation can be classific, into functional, technical and value needs in order. Third, while the functional element is overwhelming reason followed by technical element in Korea, but the value element is the second role in abroad. The value element has a significant role in so visual environment a architecture. So, the renovation activity in Korea has m put a weigh on the value element is suggested for they proper environment.

We propose an inertia-related coupling torque (IRCT) compensator for disturbance observer (DOB)-based position control of multi-link robotic manipulators. The proposed compensator reduces the DOB estimation error that is due to input with high-frequency components. To analyze the compensated system, the state space model is converted to singular perturbation form and the stability of the proposed system is also addressed. Numerical simulations and experimental results show the effec-tiveness of the proposed compensator.
Fokker-plank 방정식의 해석을 통한 Langevine 경쟁학습의 동역학 분석

In this paper, we analyze the dynamics of langevine competitive learning neural network based on its fokker-plank equation. From the viewpont of the stochastic differential equation (SDE), langevine competitive learning equation is one of langevine stochastic differential equation and has the diffusin equation on the topological space (.ohm., F, P) with probability measure. We derive the fokker-plank equation from the proposed algorithm and prove by introducing a infinitestimal operator for markov semigroups, that the weight vector in the particular simplex can converge to the globally optimal point under the condition of some convex or pseudo-convex performance measure function. Experimental resutls for pattern recognition of the remote sensing data indicate the superiority of langevine competitive learning neural network in comparison to the conventional competitive learning neural network.

H.264 비디오 표준은 2005년 현재, MPEG-2를 대체하는 새로운 비디오 표준으로서 세계 각국에서 신 개념 멀티미디어 서비스의 기본 기술로서 채택이 유력시 되고 있다. 한국에서 DMB 서비스를 위한 기본 비디오 기술로서 알려져 있는 H.264는 미국 및 유럽 등에서는 차세대 HD 서비스를 위한 비디오 코덱으로 받아 들여지고 있으며 HD급 H.264 시스템 기술 경쟁이 날로 치열해지고 있는 상황이다. 본 논문에서는 HD급 H.264 기반 멀티미디어 시스템 기술에 대한 소개와 발전 동향을 설명하고 ETRI에서 독자 개발한 HD급 H.264 부호화기, 복호화기의 소개 및 성능에 대하여 소개하고자 한다.
