        간호학과 학생의 대학과정 경험 : A Phenomenological Approach

        The purpose of this study was to explore and describe the experience of nursing student. The qualitative research method used was phenomenological approach. The participants were fourteen nursing student. The data were collected through in-depth unstructured interview with audiotape recording done by the investigator over a period of six months. The students were asked to describe about their experience as a nursing student. The data was analyzed according to the Colaizzi's method for phenomenological analysis. The interview data was organised by themes into six themes into six categores emerged from the analysis. Student experienced varies difficulty related to specific character of learning. The categories were an application for entrance to the nursing college, condition of campus life, endeavor for well adaption, clinical experiences, planning for the future, desire for nursing development. The faculty should be providing the empathetic should be a providing the empathetic support and effective educational environment. And effective guidance program is required to improve motion and satisfaction with nursing as a major and college life. This study will prove helpful understanding nursing student for educator and clinical nursing staff.

        부산광역시 자살손상현황 분석

        본 연구는 부산광역시의 자살로 인한 손상사망 현황을 분석하여 부산시민들의 자살 현황 및 실태를 파악하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 부산시민의 자살손상현황을 파악하기 위하여 통계청 사망원인 통계연보, 경찰청 변사통계연보, 부산광역시 주요 종합병원의 응급의료센터의 자료를 토대로 분석하였다. 본 연구를 통해 자살의 위험군으로 남자, 무직, 고연령층이 특히 고위험군으로 나타났다. 또한 자살원인으로는 정신적 문제로 인한 경우가 가장 많았다. 연령으로 보면 65세 이상의 노인에서는 육체적 질병으로 인한 자살사망률이 가장 높게 나타났다. 자살 수단으로는 의사(목을 매어 죽음)가 가장 높게 나타났다. 부산광역시의 자살로 인한 사망손상률을 줄이기 위해 고위험군을 중심으로 구체적이고 현실적인 자살예방 프로그램 수행이 시급한 상황이다. 자살률 감소를 통해 시민의 삶의 활력을 증가시키고 장기적으로 경제적 손실을 줄일 수 있는 효과를 기대할 수 있다. In this study, we used three surveillance data in 2008~2009: National Statistical Office, National Police Agency, and Major General Hospital’s Emergency Medical Center in Busan. Using these Surveillance data, we analyzed annual status of suicidal injury in the point of sex, age, occupation, and cause of suicide. We identified high risk group that it was man, unemployed, elderly person, also it was the most frequent cause of suicide by psychological problems. However, among 65 and older were the highest death rate due to suicide by physical illness. This study gave a very useful and important data to prepare suicide prevention program and prepare suicide prevention strategies.

        Gender-Specific Factors of Self-Concept in Korean Middle School Students

        This study investigated gender differences in the level of self-concept and identified predictors affecting self-concept in Korean middle school students. The sample of this study included 920 male and 968 female middle school students in Busan. Subjects completed self-report questionnaire during in-person study visits. Six 4-point Likert scales, ranging from 1 (strongly disagree) to 4 (strongly agree), were used to measure self-concept and its seven related-factors. Scheffe’s test, Pearson’s correlation, and multiple regression were used to analyze the data. The degree of self-concept was higher in males than females. Age, economic status, education of parents, academic ranking, running away, invalid school absences, getting into fights, and suicidal attempts showed significant differences in both male and female self-concept. However, self-concept was not significantly different in terms of students’ religion and sexual experience in both genders. Predictors of self-concept in both genders were family satisfaction, social support (peer and teacher), school adjustment, and school achievement. However, parental acceptance was significantly associated with female self-concept only. The findings of this study suggest the importance of learning gender-specific predictors affecting adolescent self-concept. Developing and implementing appropriate and effective gender-specific programs is critical to promote high self-concept for today’s youth.

        어린이 성폭력 예방 교육이 양호교사의 어린이 성폭력에 대한 지식 및 태도에 미치는 효과

        The purpose of this study was to find out the effects of education for prevention of sexual abuse (rape, sexual assault, sexual harassment etc.) of children in school nurses. Incidences of sexual abuse in Korea is ranked 3rd in the world. Sexual abuse of children. particulary, is one of the most serious crimes that affect both the victimized children and their family. The issue related to sexual abuse of children has been ignored, and there is a lack of systematic education to prevent sexual abuse of children either for children or their parents. Furthermore, lack of knowledge and poor attitude of teachers limit their capability to provide education for sexual abuse prevention to the children. The education for teachers may change their knowledge of the sexual abuse and their attitude toward it and improve their capability in helping children. 126 Korean school nurses in elementary school participated in this study. Research design was One group pretest-posttest design. The education given to the subjects included 2 hours of lecture. The education program was developed based on a survey. School- aged- children, parents, and teachers were interviewed to reveal their educational needs based on their experiences related to sexual abuse. This program includes such as safety education, crisis management, resource person(s), and phone numbers of available hospital. Data was collected before, during and after the education was given to the subjects, to assess their knowledge and attitude toward child sexual abuse. Two instruments were used in this study. Using Cronbach's ALPHA validity and reliability of 2 instruments were tested. The analysis of the data was done with Window SPSS 10.0 for descriptive statistics, t-test and ANOVA. The results of this analysis were as follows: 1. After education, the score of school nurses knowledge was higher than before(t=-7.089, p=0.0001). 2. After education, the score of school nurses attitude was not higher than before (t=1.096, p=0.275). The findings from this study will provide an intervention strategy for prevention of sexual abuse in children.

      • 간호대학생의 자살생각 관련요인 - 지각된 스트레스, 우울, 자아존중감 및 회복탄력성 -

        본 연구는 간호대학생의 자살생각 관련변수 간의 관계를 분석하여 대상자의 자살예방 및 정신건강증진 을 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 시도되었다. 연구의 대상자는 B광역시에 소재한 I 대학의 간호대학생 이며, 자료수집기간은 2016년 9월 21일부터 2주간에 걸쳐 시행되었다. 연구도구로는 일반적 특성 외 지각된 스트레스, 우울, 자아존중감, 회복탄력성 및 자살생각으로 구성된 구조화된 설문지를 이용하였 다. 연구결과 간호대학생의 일반적 특성에 따른 자살생각의 차이는 대상자의 종교 여부, 지각된 대인 관계, 전공만족도, 학교생활 만족도, 학업성적 및 경제상태에 따라 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였으며, 자살생각은 지각된 스트레스, 우울과는 양의 상관관계, 자아존중감, 회복탄력성과는 음의 상관관계를 보였다. 간호대학생의 자살생각에 영향을 미치는 요인을 검증한 결과, 자아존중감이 대상자의 자살생 각을 12.2% 설명하였다. 연구의 결과를 토대로 간호대학생의 자살생각을 감소시키고 건강한 대학생활 을 영위할 수 있도록 하기 위해서는 자아존중감을 높일 수 있는 프로그램의 개발과 적용이 이루어져야 겠다. The purpose of this study was to explain the suicidal ideation of nursing students. This study was conducted from September 21, 2016 to October 4, on 283 nursing students of I University in B city. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS/WIN 20.0 program. The suicidal ideation of nursing students showed a statistically significant positive correlation with perceived stress (r=.28, p<.001) and depression (r=.27, p<.001), a negative correlation with self-esteem (r=-.34, p<.001) and resilience (r=-.28, p<.001). A stepwise regression analysis was performed to examine the factors affecting suicidal ideation of nursing students. Self-esteem was significant predictor of suicidal ideation, and this variable accounted for 12.2% of suicidal ideation. This study was to find out the relationship between suicidal ideation related variables of nursing students and to provide basic data for management and prevention of suicidal ideation. Self-esteem of nursing students was most important variable related to suicidal ideation. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a plan that can effectively to improve self-esteem.

      • 간호대학생의 정신간호학 실습에 대한 스트레스 연구

        Clinical experiences are stressful for nursing students. However, we ignore this problem. The purpose of this study was to describe the stress of nursing students during the clinical experience in the psychiatric unit. Data were collected through a survey over a period of 8 days. Subjects who participated in the study consisted of 80 nursing students. The author used a convenience sampling method. One instrument was used in this study. Using Cronbach's ALPHA, instrument was assessed for validity and reliability from data. The analysis of the data was done with Win SPSS 9.0 PC+ for descriptive statistics, t-test and ANOVA test. The results of this analysis were as follows : 1. The degree of perceived stress during the clinical experience in the psychiatric unit was considerably high(2.28 out of 4.00). 2. There was significant relationship between the decree of stress and the demographic variables of nursing students such as the religion, age and practical place. Finally, the author suggests that this result could be adequately applied to nursing students during the clinical experience in the psychiatric unit. The faculty should be a providing the empathetic support and effective educational environment. And effective guidance program is required to improve motivation and satisfaction with nursing as a major and college life. This study will prove helpful understanding nursing student for educator and clinical nursing staff.
