After the earthquake in South Korea (Gyeongju and Pohang), interest in securing the seismic performance of piloti buildings was increasing. In this paper, a study was conducted to propose a seismic retrofit method for piloti building of LH. The proposed seismic retrofit method considers the priority of seismic retrofit and the type of core. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed seismic retrofit method, computational analysis was performed according to the type of core. As a result, it was confirmed that the seismic performance was improved when the proposed seismic retrofit method was used.

AlGaN/GaN devices have received a considerable amount of attention in relation to high-power applications due to their wide band gap properties. To achieve control of the leakage current using a cap layer addition, various surface treatment methods and results were discussed. However, the influence of different capping layers on material properties and transistor performance has not been investigated so far. We investigated the effects of various capping layers, such as n-GaN and u-GaN formed on AlGaN/GaN Schottky diodes, on the performance of devices using TLM and AFM analysis. Also we studied impedance changes of schottky diodes by injecting gases with diverse concentrations.

In this paper, a new estimation method is proposed to calculate steering rack axial force using a 3 dimensional tire mesh model when a car is standing on the road. This model is established by considering changes of camber angle and contact patch between the tires and the ground according to steering angle. The steering rack bar axial force is estimated based on the static equilibrium equations of forces and moments. A tire friction force is supposed to act on the center point of the contact patch, and the proportional coefficient of friction depending on contact patch is suggested. Using the proposed estimation method, rack axial force sensitivity analysis is evaluated according to changes of suspension geometry. Then optimal motor power of Motor Driven Power Steering(MDPS) is evaluated using suggested rack forces.
