The following research is to examine the weave structure by investigating and analyzing gold woven silk from the Goryeo Dynasty. The excavation for Jik-geum textile is very much focused on the late 14th century. Until this point, 50 pieces of gold woven silk fabrics from the Goryeo Dynasty has been excavated. Among those gold woven silk fabrics, there are incense bags, sutra case, norigae, bamboo roll cover, and cover of Buddhist scriptures. Other pieces are just small scraps. Gold thread is divided into flat gold thread and wrapped gold thread. All of the gold thread used for making Jik-geum is a flat gold thread. The structure of Jik-geum from Goryeo Dynasty can be classified into lampas, weave with supplementary weft, brocade and some of them are also tapestries. Korean Jik-geum was commonly produced in weave with supplementary wefts. On the basis of foundation structures, it could be classified as tabby with supplementary golden weft (織金䌷), twill with supplementary golden weft (織金绫), damask with supplementary golden weft (織金纹绫), satin with supplementary golden weft (織金缎), and simple gauze with supplementary golden weft (織金紗).

청연군주묘(淸衍郡主墓) 출토복식 중 직금(織金), 부금의(附金衣)의 보존처리

국립중앙박물관이 소장하고 있는 청연군주 출토복식(신수751 의류 일괄) 중 織金 및 金箔이 있는 복식의 보존 처리 과정을 소개하고자 한다. 금사 및 금박의 비파괴분석(X-선형광분석:XRF)을 실시한 다음 표면의 금(Au)이 열화가 진행되면서 분상화된 금층에 아교 2%용액을 도포하여 접착력을 강화하였다. 표면의 먼지와 오염물제거를 위해 진공흡입을 통한 건식세척과 분사식 습식세척을 병행하였고 손상부분을 보수하여 유물의 원형을 회복하였다. This study is process of conservation treatment for textiles and costumes containing Jikgeum(weave with supplementary golden wefts) and Bugeum(Gold sticking) among excavated ones(including all of Sinsu751) of Cheongyeongunju (a princess) collected by the National Museum of Korea. Adhesive strength was reinforced by coating 2% solution of glue on layer of gold disintegrated in the course of depletion of gold(Au) on the surface after conducting nondestructive test(X-ray fluorescent analysis) of flat gold strip and gold sticking. To remove dust on the surface and polluted materials, dry cleaning through vacuum suction and spray-type wet cleaning were conducted simultaneously and damaged part was restored to recover the relics to original state.

국립중앙박물관이 소장하고 있는 청연군주 출토복식(신수751 의류 일괄)중 전시 대상 26점의 보존처리 과정과 보관방법을 소개하고자 한다. 처리 전 유물의 재질과 손상정도를 파악하고 표면세척, 습식세척을 병행하였으며, 유물의 안정성을 고려하여 손으로 잡아주면서 건조시키고 보수하였다. 보관은 복식의 손상을 줄이기 위해 접힘 부분을 최소화하여 크게 접고 완충제를 사이에 넣고 중성상자에 넣어 보관하였다. Here is an introduction of the conservation process and storing method of 26 garments for exhibition among the excavated garments of Cheonngyeongunju(a princess) preserved in the National Museum of Korea. Before processing, the artifacts were investigated to find out the type of material and the damaged parts, and then surface and wet cleaning were conducted. After that, it were dried and fixed while held by hand for stability of the artifacts. When stored, the artifact was folded minimally in large parts to prevent damage and placed in a neutral box with buffers in between.
