        Fast Device Discovery for Remote Device Management in Lighting Control Networks

        The Remote Device Management (RDM) protocol is used to manage the devices in the lighting control networks. RDM provides bi-directional communications between a controller and many lighting devices over the DMX512-A network. In RDM, using a simple binary search scheme, which is based on the 48-bit unique ID (UID) of each device, discovers the lighting devices. However, the existing binary search scheme tends to require a large delay in the device discovery process. In this paper, we propose a novel partition-based discovery scheme for fast device discovery in RDM. In the proposed scheme, all devices are divided into several partitions as per the device UID, and the controller performs device discovery for each partition by configuring a response timer that each device will use. From numerical simulations, we can see that there is an optimal number of partitions to minimize the device discovery time for a given number of devices in the proposed scheme, and also that the proposed partition-based scheme can reduce the device discovery time, as compared to the existing binary search scheme.

        불확실성을 고려한 교통투자시설 의사결정 방법론 연구: ITS기반 인프라 구축사업 사례 중심

        교통시설은 오랜기간동안 건설되고 운영된다는 점에서 운용 중에 다양한 불확실성이 발생한다. 특히 미래에는 교통시설투자 뿐만 아니라 교통정책과 교통기술에 대한 수요가 발생할 수 있으므로 교통투자평가 방법론이 필요항목에 따라 대응되어야 한다. 국외에서는 이미 의사결정 시 미래의 불확실성을 고려하고자 하는 다각적인 시도를 하고 있다. 본 연구는 불확실성을 고려하고 다양한 교통투자에 대한 의사결정을 보다 강건하게 수행하고자 다수의 의사결정 방법론을 고찰하였으며 PRIM 방법론 등을 적용한 시나리오 분석을 통해 그 결과를 검증하고자 하였다. 현재 예비타당성 평가에서는 고려하지 않는 교통정책의 추진, 투자 우선순위 등을 결정할 수 있도록 하기 위해 기존의 AHP구조를 기반으로 평가대상별 미래 불확실성 요인을 정의하고 전망 및 변동범위를 제시함으로써 미래 불확실성이 고려되도록 구성하였다. 또한 방법론의 적용가능성을 검토하기 위해 교통투자사업인 ‘광역도시간 ITS 인프라 및 C-ITS 기반 교통체계구축’ 시나리오를 가정하여 시나리오 분석을 수행하였다.

        황칠(黃漆)이 만성 스트레스 유발 백서의 스트레스 및 수면 호르몬에 미치는 영향

        Objectives: To evaluate effects of Resina Dendropanacis Morbiferus (RDM) on stress and sleep hormones when administered to Chronic Mild Stressed (CMS) rats. Methods: Twenty-five healthy rats were randomly divided into 5 groups; Normal, CMS (Control), Resina Dendropanacis Mobiferus 50 mg/kg (RDM 50), 100 mg/kg (RDM 100), and 200 mg/kg (RDM 200). All rats except the normal group were exposed to unpredicted stress conditions such as water deprivation, empty bottles, forced thread mill, etc. according to timetable of CMS for 3 weeks. After a week starting experiments, rats in RDM 50, RDM 100, and RDM 200 groups were fed orally once a day for 2 weeks. Afterward, blood samples were taken from rats to analyze complete blood count, AST, ALT, and glucose. Noradrenalin, GABA and Melatonin were measured by ELISA kit. BDNF, CREB and TrkB were measured by RT-PCT. Results: 1. In Noradrenalin content, RDM 100 and RDM 200 groups revealed significant decrease compared to the control group. 2. In GABA content, RDM 50 and RDM 100 groups revealed significant decrease compared to the control group. 3. In Melatonin content, RDM 100 and 200 groups revealed significant decrease compared to the control group. 4. In Activity of BDNF, RDM 100 and 200 groups revealed significant increase compared to the control group. 5. In Activity of CREB and TrkB, RDM 100 group revealed significant increase compared to the control group. 6. In Erythrocyte and Thrombocyte changes, red blood cells and hematocrit significantly increased in RDM 50 and RDM 200 groups than the control group. Hemoglobin and platelet significantly increased in all experimental groups and the control group. 7. In Weight gain content, all RDM groups revealed insignificant increase compared to the control group. 8. In Glucose content, RDM 50, RDM 100, and RDM 200 groups revealed significant decrease compared to the control group. Conclusions: Results suggest that RDM have effects on stress and sleep hormones when administered to Chronic Mild Stressed (CMS) rats.

        Geoscience 연구데이터 관리를 위한 기능별 세부요소 및 중요도에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study is to derive the detailed elements of each RDM function that can be applied to the development of research data management system in Geoscience field in Korea. Eight institutions related to RDM services were analyzed to achieve the research purpose. As a result of the analysis, 80 detailed elements of Geoscience RDM function were derived, and a survey was conducted to domestic experts to verify the derived details. As a result, 80 RDM functional details for Geoscience are presented in order of importance. The elements presented can be presented as functional details in the establishment and operation of RDM services in the field of Geoscience in research institutes or university libraries in Korea. 본 연구는 국내에서 Geoscience 분야 연구데이터 관리 시스템 개발에 적용할 수 있는 RDM 기능별 세부요소의 도출을 목적으로 하였다. 연구 목적 달성을 위해 RDM 서비스와 관련된 8개의 기관을 분석하였다. 분석한 결과, Geoscience RDM 기능의 80개 세부요소가 도출되었으며, 도출된 세부요소를 검증하기 위하여 국내 전문가를 대상으로 설문조사를 수행하였다. 조사 결과, Geoscience 분야를 위한 80개의 RDM 기능별 세부요소가 중요도 순으로 제시되었다. 제시된 요소는 국내의 연구 기관 또는 대학도서관에서 Geoscience 분야의 RDM 서비스 구축 및 운영 시 기능별 세부요소로 제시될 수 있으며 순위에 따라 중요도를 판단할 수 있는 참고자료가 될 수 있을 것이다.

        연구데이터 관리서비스의 구현 시 고려사항에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study is to determine crucial factors of consideration in ensuring the successful implementation of research data management services. The study begins by extracting a range of service areas from their equivalent in existing research on data management services. It then collects relevant information via e-mail survey from eight individuals respectively overseeing research data management services at six university libraries and one institution located throughout the United States, Germany, and Australia. Having originated in overseas cases, the resulting factors of consideration were reviewed by domestic experts in research data management services. The finalized areas of research data management services consist of nine categories. The crucial factors of consideration in RDM services are connection between research services and research data management services; national/university-level/institutional agreements; metadata entry personnel and required elements; strategies for the provision of specialized staff; major service area selection through user demand analysis; effective linkage between research data and research results; and close cooperation with users and related organizations. 본 연구의 목적은 연구데이터 관리서비스 구현 시 성공적인 서비스를 위한 고려사항을 도출하는 것이다. 이를 위해 선행연구를 활용하여 연구데이터 관리서비스의 영역을 파악하였고, 미국, 독일, 호주에서 연구데이터 관리서비스를 시행중인 대학도서관 6곳과 1개의 기관에서 담당자 8명을 대상으로 연구데이터 서비스에 관한 질문의 답변을 이메일을 통해 수집하였다. 또 해외서비스를 대상으로 수집한 고려사항이 국내에 적용가능한지 국내 연구데이터 관리서비스 전문가와 검토하였다. 연구데이터 서비스 영역은 총 9개의 카테고리로 구분하여 분석하였는데, 연구서비스와 연구데이터 관리서비스 연계, 국가/대학/기관 차원의 협약, 메타데이터 입력주체 및 필수 요소, 직원의 전문화 방안, 이용자 요구분석을 통한 주요서비스 영역 선정, 연구데이터와 연구결과물의 효과적인 연결방안, 이용자와 유관기관과 긴밀한 공조 등의 연구데이터 관리서비스 구축 시 고려사항을 도출할 수 있었다.

        Read Disturbance Reduction Technique for Offset-Canceling Dual-Stage Sensing Circuits in Deep Submicrometer STT-RAM

        <P>Spin-transfer-torque random access memory (STT-RAM) has attracted much research interest for its characteristics of scalability, nonvolatility, and small cell size. As the technology node is scaled down, however, the sensing margin (SM) and read disturbance margin (RDM) of the STT-RAM are degraded because of increased process variation, decreased supply voltage, and reduced critical switching current. In this brief, we propose a half-pulsewidth read disturbance (HPWRD) scheme that is capable of significantly improving the RDM by reducing the read disturbance time by half. Results from a Monte Carlo HSPICE simulation using the parameters of a 45-nm industry-compatible model show that the HPWRD scheme produces a three-order improvement in the RDM without sacrificing the SM, speed, or energy efficiency, at the cost of an increased area overhead of 4.12% for a subarray size of 128 x 16.</P>
