        화예디자인 트렌드에 관한 연구 - 바디 플라워 디자인의 예술적 표현 특성을 중심으로 -

        Body flower design, an area of floral art & design, is becoming an important area to express artistic inspiration of floral artists, and the area of modern floral art & design is expanding. Various forms of art works are appearing. Especially, as the body flower design, an area of floral art & design, has become an important area expressing the artistic inspiration of floral artists, the area of modern floral art & design is expanding. However, despite these changes and developments, interdisciplinary research in this field is insufficient. Therefore, this study examines the trend of contemporary body flower design that emphasizes artistry based on the artist's inner sensitivity and creativity and discusses the expression characteristics of the field of art design. The ultimate goal was to lay the foundation for the formulation. The results of the research analysis are as follows. Basic characteristics of body flower design that decorate various types of body In addition to decorativeness, naturality, artificialness, temporality, spatiality, motility, aesthetic, practicality, objectivity, creativity, experience, experimentation, expressiveness, artistry, imagination, playfulness, culture, and history were derived as basic characteristics of body flower design. In addition, research results were derived that originality, experimentation, imagination, symbolism, and playfulness are deeply related to the expressive characteristics of body flower design that emphasizes artistry. 꽃과 식물 등 자연의 생명력을 기반으로 표현하는 화예디자인은 21세기에 접어들면서 보다 세분화복합화 된양상으로 변화하고 있으며 예술디자인 분야로의 영역 확대를 통해 고전적인 표현방식과 사고에 얽매이지 않은다양한 형태의 화예작품이 등장하고 있다. 특히 화예디자인의 한 영역인 바디 플라워 디자인(Body Flower Design)이 화예작가의 예술적 영감을 표출하는 중요한 영역으로 자리매김 하면서 현대 화예디자인 영역이 크게 확장되고 있는 추세이다. 하지만 이러한 변화발전에도 불구하고 이 분야에 관한 학제적 연구는 미흡한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구는 화예디자인 영역 중 작가의 내적 감성과 창의성을 기반으로 예술성을 강조한 현대 바디플라워 디자인의 트렌드를 살펴보고 그 표현 특성에 관해 논의함으로써 화예디자인 분야의 조형예술로서의 가치 제고와 관련 분야의 이론 정립을 위한 토대 마련을 궁극적인 목적으로 하였다. 1차 연구 단계에서는 바디플라워 디자인에 관한 이론적 고찰을 통해 기본 개념을 이해하고 2차 연구 단계에서는 현대 바디 플라워 디자인 트렌드 분석을 위해 국내외 화예작가의 작품을 선정하여 이를 분석하였다. 연구 분석을위해 『International Floral Art』를 통해 발표된 작품과 국제 플라워 패션 페스티벌 fffim(핌_flower fashion festival imagination)의 실제 퍼포먼스를 통해 발표된 작품을 대상으로 한정하였으며, 화예디자인 전문가 집단의 인터뷰를 통해 예술적 목적의 바디 플라워 디자인의 특성을 도출하였다. 인터뷰를통한 연구 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 다양한 형식으로 신체를 장식하는 바디 플라워 디자인의 기본적인 특성인 장식성 외에, 자연성, 인공성, 시간성, 공간성, 운동성, 심미성, 실용성, 오브제성, 창의성, 체험성, 실험성, 표현성, 예술성, 상상성, 유희성, 문화성, 역사성 등이 바디 플라워 디자인의 기본 특성으로 도출되었다. 그리고 독창성, 실험성, 상상성, 상징성, 유희성 등이 예술성을 강조한 바디 플라워 디자인의 표현 특성에 깊게 관계한다는 연구 결과가 도출되었다.

        하이메 아욘의 공간디자인 표현특징에 관한 연구

        This study collects data on the overall design results of Jaime Hayon, After conducting a general review of product design, exhibition, and previous research, By analyzing detailed design expression patterns for spatial design, we tried to define the characteristics of his design expression. To sum up, the design expression characteristics of Jaime Hayon are as follows. First, the handicraft value was emphasized by reinterpreting crafts in a modern way. Second, through practical graphic activities through exhibitions, free expression techniques were honed, and pictorial design expressions were carried out in space. Third, the circus-themed design development method was often used, Fourth, by expressing an unusual design, it was possible to grasp the tendency to create a surreal, fantastic, and mysterious spatial image. In addition, most of Jaime Hayon's products, furniture, and space use organic curves or forms to show modern simplicity and classical elegance at the same time. The image of space is fantastic, unusual, playful, mysterious, and fantasy and wit are expressed. Materials used in space frequently use ceramics and mirrors, and use of various materials conveys different experiences. Colors use colorful colors and are characterized by applying colorful and strong colors such as gold, red, and green. In addition, classical details, handicraft elements, and illustrations are applied throughout the space to create a richer space. As a traditional and modern designer, Jaime Hayon is a creative designer who always pursues new things and represents various and complex social tendencies, it has an important influence on modern design and is expected to show great results with much public interest in the future.

        제품디자인 영역의 레트로 디자인 표현특성 및 적용방향

        최근 들어서 다양한 분야에서 과거의 문화들이 상업적으로 재현되고 현대적 관점에서 재해석되어 등장하는 레트로 코드를 발견할 수 있다. 이러한 레트로 코드는 단순히 과거로의 회귀나 재미를 위한 이벤트가 아닌 사회문화적 현상이면서 중요한 메가트랜드로 자리 잡고 있다. 본 논문은 기존에 주로 패션의 영역에서 다루어져 온 레트로 디자인이 소비문화의 발전과 디자인에 대한 관심 증대 등으로 인해 제품디자인 영역까지 확장된 현황에서 출발하였다. 레트로 디자인의 정의와 경향 등 이론적 배경을 살펴본 후, 제품디자인 영역에 나타난 레트로 디자인 특성을 유의미한 표현 특성별 사례를 통하여 그 특징을 고찰하였다. 사례 연구를 통하여 제품디자인 영역에 나타난 레트로 디자인의 적용방향은 크게 첫째, 현대적 디자인 해석으로 독창성 창출 둘째, 희소성 유지로 디자인 가치 증대 셋째, 디지털 기술로 디자인 지속성 향상으로 나타남을 확인할 수 있었으며, 향후 타 디자인 분야와의 융복합을 통해 더욱 다양한 시도가 가능함을 재인식할 수 있었다. Recently, in a variety of areas: broadcasting, advertisement, fashion, design, art, movie, the culture of past is used commercially and has been reinterpreted as the modern view. These Retro codes not only going back to the past or having a funny event but also works as an important mega trend and social and culture phenomena. In this thesis, Retro design, which mainly used to be discussed in fashion design area, is extended its area to product design, due to development in consumption culture, and also the expansion of interest to design. First, the thesis investigates the theoretical background of Retro design and after analyzing differences of each design elements and methods, Retro design in product design area is categorized according to the characteristics and illustrated with case studies. Based on the characteristics of analyzed elements, in the product design area, Retro design is suggested as the creation of creativity as interpretation of modern design, the increasing of design value by maintaining scarcity, the improvement of design durability with combination of digital technology. Moreover, through the convergence between design disciplines, more various design attempts are possible.

        해체주의 관점의 탈구성적 표현 특성

        현대예술은 다양한 양식의 혼재 및 변화의 과정을 통해 새로운 패러다임을 형성하고 있으며, 디자인 분야에서도 열린 사고의 유연성을 반영한 탈구성적 표현이 새로운 디자인 발현 양식으로 나타나고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 탈구성의 이론적 배경을 형성하고 있는 해체주의에 대해 고찰하고, 해체주의의 관점의 탈구성적 표현 특성을 해체주의의 대표 아티스트이자 디자이너인 론 아라드의 디자인 제품 사례를 통해 분석함으로써, 디자인 분야에 다양한 모티브와 영감을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 탈구성의 개념에 대한 고찰을 통하여 ‘전형적인 구성의 부정’, ‘정형화된 형태의 거부’, ‘내부의 근본적인 해체’, ‘소재의 선입견 탈피’ 총 4가지의 유형으로 분류하여 표현 특성과 효과를 도출하였다. 론 아라드의 디자인 제품에 나타난 탈구성적 표현 특성은 다음과 같다. 첫째, ‘전형적인 구성의 부정’ 에서는 불완전한 기하학적 형태의 왜곡과 과장된 표현양상으로 정해진 원칙 없이 자유롭고 독창적인 효과를 가져왔다. 둘째, ‘정형화된 형태의 거부’ 에서는 기본 형태에서 벗어나 비대칭적, 방향성을 무시한 반복되는 패턴으로 형태의 왜곡을 표현하였다. 셋째, ‘내부의 근본적인 해체’ 에서는 붕괴된 질감이나 얽매이지 않은 혼합과 대비의 시각이 양면성을 이룸으로써 변형 및 변위된 개념을 제시하였다. 넷째, ‘소재의 선입견 탈피’ 에서는 서로 다른 이질적인 결합과 극단적인 대비 표현양상을 통해 소재의 경계를 허물고 소재의 선택에 있어 무한한 가능성을 보여주었다. 이와 같이 해체주의 관점의 탈구성적 표현특성과 효과는 기존의 개념이 가진 한정적 틀에서 벗어나 다양한 매체를 이용한 실험적 시도로 새로운 가능성을 열어 놓음으로써, 디자인 발상을 위한 자료를 제공하는데 의의가 있다. Contemporary art is forming a new paradigm through the process of mixture and change of various styles. In the field of design, the expression of decomposition which reflects the flexibility of open thoughts is appearing in the style of new design. Accordingly, this study would focus on deconstruction which forms the theoretical background of the decomposition and analyze the characteristics of decomposition which forms the deconstruction through the Ron Arad’s design products, thereby suggesting various motives and inspirations in the field of design. The result of the study is as follows: The research classified the concept of the decomposition into 4 types such as “negativity of the typical composition”, “rejection of the typified form”, “fundamental decomposition of the inside” and “escape from prejudice” and from them, the four characteristics and effect of expression were obtained. The characteristics of expression of decomposition from the view of Deconstruction focusing on the Ron Arad’s design products are as follows. First, the type of “negativity of the typical composition” leads to an incomplete geometrical distortion and overemphasized expression style, thus resulting in a free and creative effect without any specified principle. Second, the type of “rejection of the typified form” showed a pattern which is free from the basic forms, and which is asymmetrical and repetitive ignoring any direction, thus resulting in the distortion of the shape. Third, the “fundamental decomposition of the inside” showed duality through comparison with the collapsed texture or the non-bound mixture, thus suggesting the concept of modification and displacement. Fourth, the “escape from prejudice” showed the destruction of the boundary of materials and endless possibilities in the selection of the materials through the combination of mutually different foreign things and extremely comparative expressions. As such, the characteristics and effect of the decomposition expression from the view of deconstruction have the implications that they enable the design to get out of the limited framework of the conventional concept and then make experimental trials using various media, thus providing the data for the design idea.

        인터랙션 디자인 표현유형을 반영한 전시공간 특성

        This study was to research and study whether the types of interaction design perform the effective functions and roles as the exhibition space that audiences want centered in the digital media exhibition space. It was to suggest effective space characteristics through analyzing how the interaction design was expressed at the exhibition space and its application. For the analysis, it completes theoretical inquiry on the classification of the space characteristics according to the concept type of interaction and design characteristics. Based on it, it directly visited the exhibition space that reflected the interaction design centered in Seoul City, experienced the given experience, and designed the analyzing frame by composing a checklist after the observation research. Through the designed analysis, it performed a site questionnaire to audiences. It induced the conclusion as follows after analyzing the case space that reflected the interaction design type. First, the program analysis of the space that has the variability is necessary through a variety of digital analysis as there is a limitation that the characteristic of digital media has. Second, in the concept type of the interaction design, it needs the interaction stage among people that can communicate with audiences and stimulate their senses through vidual factors. Third, in the characteristic of the interaction design, it should try to use effective contents to get over the limitation of the space through the interaction in the designated space in case of exhibition. In the following research, it needs to study on the variety of stage plans in detail by supplying contents to audiences and grafting to the exhibition space continuously through using the interaction design that uses digital media at there.

        현대 패션에 나타난 그런지 헤어 디자인의 표현 특성 및 조형성 분석 -2014~2016년 트렌드 컬렉션을 중심으로-

        In this study, a variety of influence in the field of design and analysis about the value of a Grunge Design and the creative design inspirations in the field of hair design to help the development of the quality of research. The research methods use the Internet publications such as local and foreign information, analysis and related research and book form, such as the network search, library goes for consideration by a literature search. The contents of this study used review of the case and by Grunge design, expressive characteristics by color, texture and form of Grunge hair design, from 2014 to 2016 trend collections in the last three years through the analysis of design by date of the case. The result of this study is, Grunge design appearing in the areas of hair design, that are grunge anti fashion like the beauty of the disorder, the disharmony, the incomplete, the kitsch, the poverty. Although Grunge means dirt, filth, rubbish as a slang but it is valuable which was raised from the anti fashion to high fashion and alternative of main stream fashion and the hair design in modern fashion also brought. In this study, we can understand the grunge hair design in modern fashion was started from lower place as alternative and forecast the potentialities, the formativeness of the grunge design and value of the beauty and grunge anti fashion the identity and the spirit appearing steadily a modern fashion influence are reflected in our next fashion and design characteristics.

        실내공간에 나타난 유기적 디자인 표현 특성에 관한 연구

        The nature is the foundation of human life and arts, and human beings have found order and principle amid ceaseless change and harmonization of the nature and diversified patterns and directly or indirectly applied the nature to interior through discovered principles. Interior space to which the organic factors of the nature is an expression of the vitality of the nature and expresses live forms as seen in change, development and growth of living organisms in addition to human feelings. The study aims to recognize the necessity of studies on interior space to which organic expressive characteristics of the nature are applied in uniformed space, suggest expressive characteristics and propose needed basic data required at a time of designing interior space. In this regard, the study has examined works by five contemporary designers including Zaha Hadid, Karim Rashid, Fabio Novembre and Nox with an aim to analyze expressive characteristics of interior design and figure expressive characteristics of organic design found in interior space. According to analyses on preceding literary studies and case studies (14 places), it has been found that organic expressive characteristics in interior space include vision, tactile sensation and auditory sense in terms of sensitivity, immateriality in terms of a property of matter, metaphor and abstraction in terms of the form of natural objects and non-linear curves and free curves in organic design. Organic spaces were characterized by symbolism, directionality, continuity, pattern and superimposition. This conclusion is expected to be useful in subsequent studies on the application of organic expressive characteristic factors at a time of planning interior space in the future.

        한국 보자기를 활용한 가변적 패션디자인 연구

        The Hallyu wave based on K-pop and K-culture has increased the global interest in Korean culture. Therefore, to satisfy consumer demand, there is an attempt to develop a variable fashion design using traditional Korean culture. Transformable fashion design causes changes in form and meaning according to various situations and needs and can induce active participation of consumers. Therefore, we intend to propose a transformable fashion design that is based on traditional Korean culture but appears in a new form and meets the needs of consumers of fashion design. Among Korean traditional culture, wrapping cloths, bojagi are practically used by ordinary people until now, and their shape and use change according to the user's needs. This study intends to derive expression characteristics by examining the expression tendencies of bojagi and to develop transformable fashion designs through the derived data. The purpose of this study is to make and propose transformable fashion designs in real life using the expression characteristics of Korean bojagi. As the method of this study, we first conducted a literature review. Through this, a case study of empirical production was conducted in parallel with the development and production of transformable fashion designs using bojagi. A total of three illustrations and six variable fashion designs were developed. Two of the six works are transformable fashion design that change through movement and expansion of the square shape, the prototype of the bojagi, and two works are modular, bringing changes in function through combination and separation. The work was produced as a multi-purpose transformable fashion design that can be used as clothes or a bag.

        실내디자인에서 'Mix & Match'의 속성 및 표현특성에 관한 연구

        This study examines attributes and expression characteristics of ‘Mix & Match’ which is one of the major current rends in interior design. The concept and background of ‘Mix & Match’ was ascertained through research of previous documents and studies, and its attributes were explored. In order to examine the expression characteristics to see how they are expressed in actual interior designs, case analyses were carried out centering on the expression elements such as material, light & lighting, color, fumiture and objects which were regarded as important in previous studies and related articles so far. The case analyses were carried out for works where the concept of ‘Mix & Match’ was prominent in designs produced in 2007 and 2008, chosen form the main reports of the representative interior design journals, ‘Interiors’ and ‘INTERNI & Decor’. As a result, it has been found that ‘Mix & Match’ is not Limited to one attribute but the temporal, spatial and genre attributes are present all at the same time, or various expression elements exist in one attribute. This is a distinct character commonly shown in most of the cases and each expression element is expressed in variety according to spatial concept, from a simple parallel to substitution, transfer and modification (simplification, transformation of the scale, rate modification etc.) Therefore, in creating the space for ‘Mix & Match’ or in interpretation of it, the understanding of these expression characteristics would make it possible for clearer and more various applications of design, and futhermore will be meaningful for supply and accumulation of reference in design communication.

        레스토랑 디자인에 나타난 문화적 정체성 표현특성과 영향인자에 대한 연구

        The purpose of this study were to examine the characteristics of elements composing the cultural identity of Chinese architectural and spatial design, and to analyze the expression characteristics and influencing factors of contemporary restaurant design. With these purposes, first, this study reviewed related literature in order to find the characteristics of tangible elements and space expression characteristics forming the cultural identity of China. Second, this study conducted a case study in order to understand the expression characteristics of the design of Chinese restaurants in Shanghai and to find factors influencing the design. In order to sample the subjects of the case study, the researcher selected 18 restaurants that were recommended repeatedly in books on Chinese restaurants and tourism and major internet sites or highly evaluated by visitors, and then choose 15 of them that were found to be fit for the purpose of the survey. According to the result of the survey, the restaurants were largely grouped by type into 10 cases of fine dining, 3 of middle class casual dining, 1 of fast food, and 1 of luxury tea house serving traditional tea and snacks. Of these restaurants. 46.7% (7 cases) were of CM-CM-CM type, namely, using contemporary simple elements in all of external spaces, indoor spaces, and decorations, 20% (3 cases) were of CM-CM-CT types, using contemporary and simple external and indoor spaces, and traditional furniture or articles, 20% (3 cases) were of CT-CM-CT type, using traditional external spaces such as traditional building, contemporary simple finishing of indoor spaces, and traditional articles such as palace lanterns and traditional doors and windows, and 13.3% (2 cases) were of CT-CT-CT type, using traditional elements in their original forms in general. Through this research and survey, cultural identity showing Chinese traditions observed in the expression characteristics of restaurant spatial designs was confirmed, and it was also found that the identity was underlain by ideologies, lifestyles, etc. that had long accumulated through the long history of the country and exerted a great influence.
