        About 50% of disasters occurring at domestic construction sites are caused by the accidents not wearing personal protective equipment. Under the current statutes, employers are required to provide personal protective equipment and workers are required to wear personal protective equipment. However, there is insufficient compliance with wearing personal protective equipment on site. This study is about the measure of improving the system to the way of purchasing, wearing and managing personal protective equipment by individual workers, and refunding the cost of personal protective equipment to workers. It is expected that this thesis will improve the system of personal protective equipment effectively, and contribute to the prevention of disasters by settling the culture of wearing personal protective equipment. 국내 건설 현장에서 발생한 재해 중 약 50%가 개인보호구 미착용 상태에서의 사고가 재해로 이어진 것이다. 현행법령상 사업주는 개인 보호구를 지급하고 근로자는 개인보호구를 착용해야 하지만 일선 현장에서는 개인 보호구 착용 준수가 미흡한 실정이다. 본 연구는 개인 보호구를 근로자 개인이 구매하여 착용, 관리하는 형태로 제도를 개선하고 개인보호구 구매비용을 근로자에게 환급해 주는 방안에 대한 것이다. 본 논문을 통해 개인 보호구 제도가 효용성있게 개선되고, 개인보호구 착용문화를 정착시켜 재해 예방에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

        COVID-19 관련 간호대학생의 개인보호구 착⋅탈의 교육 효과

        Objectives This study was conducted to confirm the effectiveness of nursing students by comparing their knowledge, attitudes and perceptions related to personal protective equipment before and after education using the education program for putting on and taking off personal protective equipment to prevent COVID-19-related infectious diseases. Methods This is a similar experimental study with a single-group pre-post design applied. The subjects of this study were 154 second-year students from the 4-year nursing department located in Gwangju, and the study period was from May 1, 2021 to May 15, 2021. The COVID-19-related PPE training was conducted twice for a total of 5 hours, and a questionnaire was conducted on the knowledge, attitudes and perceptions of PPE related to COVID-19 before and after PPE wearing/removing training. Results The collected data were analyzed by SPSS 26.0 program. As a result of the study, after the COVID-19- related PPE-related training on wearing and removing PPE, the PPE-related knowledge score (t=-5.80, p<.001) increased, and the PPE attitude (t=-9.21, p<.001), recognition (t=-1.99, p=.048) increased. Conclusions Since the education of nursing students on the removal of personal protective equipment related to COVID-19 is an essential skill that must be dealt with at the hospital site, consider it as a regular curriculum, and we suggest that continuous and active support at the university level is necessary for capacity building. 목적 본 연구는 COVID-19 관련 감염병을 예방하기 위해 간호대학생의 개인보호구 착⋅탈의 교육프로그램을 활용하여, 교육 전⋅ 후 개인보호구관련 지식, 태도 및 인식을 비교하여 그 효과를 확인하고자 수행되었다. 방법 단일집단 사전사후 설계를 적용한 유사실험연구로 연구의 대상자는 광주광역시에 소재한 4년제 간호학과 2학년 학생 154명이며, 연구기간은 2021년 5월 1일부터 2021년 5월 30일까지였다. COVID-19 관련 개인보호구 착⋅탈의 교육은 2회 총 5시간수행되었으며, 개인보호구 착⋅탈의 교육 전후 COVID-19 관련 개인보호구 지식, 태도 및 인식에 대한 설문조사를 시행하였다. 결과 수집된 자료는 SPSS 26.0프로그램으로 분석하였다. 연구결과 COVID-19 관련 개인보호구 착⋅탈의 교육후에는 개인보호구 관련 지식점수(t=-5.80, p<.001)은 상승하였고, 개인보호구 태도(t=-9.21, p<.001), 인식(t=-1.99, p=.048)은 상승하였다. 결론 간호대학생의 COVID-19 관련 개인보호구 착탈의 교육은 병원현장에서 대응해야 할 필수적 술기이므로 정규커리큘럼으로고려하고, 역량강화를 위해 대학차원의 지속적이고 적극적인 지원이 필요함을 제언한다.

        사례분석을 통한 객체검출 기술의 건설현장 적용 방안에 관한 연구

        연구목적: 본 연구의 목적은 건설현장의 재해 예방을 위해 딥러닝기반의 개인보호구 검출 모델을 개발하고, 실제 건설현장에 적용하여 분석하는 것이다. 연구방법: 본 연구의 수행 방법은 실제 환경의 데이터를 구축하고, 개발된 개인보호구 검출 모델을 적용하였다. 개인보호구 검출 모델은 크게 근로자 검출 및 개인보호구 착용 분류 모델로 구성되어 있다. 근로자 검출 모델은 딥러닝 기반의 알고리즘을 실제 현장에서 획득한 데이터셋을 구축하여 학습 및 근로자를 검출하였고, 개인보호구 착용 분류 모델은 앞단에서 추출된 근로자 검출영역에서 학습된 개인보호구 검출 알고리즘을 적용하였다. 구축된 모델의 검증을 위해 건설현장 3곳에서 획득된 데이터를 통해 실험결과를 도출하였다. 연구결과: 데이터베이스 12,000장을 구축하여 정상검출 9,460장(78.8%), 오검출 1,468(12.2%), 미검출 1,072장(8.9%)으로 나타났으며 주요 원인은 영상에서의 객체 크기, 객체간 중첩(Occulusion), 객체 잘림, 그림자에 의한 오검출로 분류되었다. 결론: 개인보호구 검출모델은 현장 상황마다 다른 검출률을 확인할 수 있었고, 본 연구의 결과가 차후 현장적용을 위한 연구에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 여겨진다.

        신종감염병 대응 비의료인 전담요원 개인보호구 착탈의 융합 교육 효과

        본 연구는 신종감염병 대응 전담요원의 개인보호구 착탈의 융합 교육 효과를 확인하고자 시도되었다. Level D 개인보호구 착용 기준에 적합한 28명의 비의료인 신종감염병 대응 전담요원을 대상으로 2018년 3차에 걸쳐 교육 후 개인보호구 착탈의 점수를 수집하였으며 프리드만 검정(Friedman)과 윌콕슨 부호순위 검정(Wilcoxon’s Signed –Ranks Test)으로 분석하였다. 연구결과, 교육횟수에 따른 분석에서 착의점수는 유의하게 상승하였고 탈의 점수는 유의한 차이를 보였다. 교육차수별 분석에서는 착의 점수는 1차보다 3차에서 유의하게 상승하였으며 탈의 점수는 1차보다 3차에서 점수가 상승하였으나 유의 하지 않았다. 본 연구의 대상자들은 비의료인이기 때문에 지식이 부족하지만 감염병에 접촉할 확률이 크기 때문에 교육이 필요한 점에서 의미가 크며 본 연구결과를 통하여 개인보호구 탈의 교육의 효과가 상대적으로 낮아 교육회수의 증가 혹은 주기적인 교육의 필요성이 중요하다고 파악되었다. Objectives: This study was attempted to confirm the convergence education effect of donning and doffing Personal Protective Equipment(PPE) for Non-medical Personnel. Method: Three training sessions in 2018 were conducted for 28 dedicated staff who met Level D personal protective equipment. After the training, the scores of PPE donning and doffing were collected. Friedman and Wilcoxon's Signed-Ranks Tests were performed. Results: As the number of training increased, the score of doffing PPE increased significantly. And the differences by frequency, the score of the donning PPE was significantly increased in the 3rd rather than the 1st. However, the score of doff was increased in the first to third cases, but it was not significant. Conclusion: The results of this study found that the effect of doffing PPE education was relatively lower than that of donning practice. so the increase in the number of training sessions or the periodic training is important.

        코로나19 대응 개인 보호구 적용 간호 시뮬레이션 교육 프로그램 효과

        Purpose: Personal protective equipment (PPE) is critical for protecting healthcare workers from COVID-19 outbreaks. Therefore, this study examined the effects of a nursing simulation education program on PPE use for COVID-19 among nursing students. Methods: We employed a non-equivalent control group post-test design. The experimental group (n=38) engaged in a nursing simulation education program on PPE use. The control group (n=36) received PPE and the opportunity to participate in the same program after the intervention. Further, data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and independent t-test. Results: The experimental group showed significant differences in attitude toward PPE (t=3.21, p=.002) and efficacy of PPE use (t=9.92, p<.001), but not in the intention to care for patients with COVID-19 (t=0.95, p=.343). Conclusion: Nursing simulation education for PPE significantly improved attitude and increased self-efficacy toward PPE among nursing students. However, the intention to care for COVID-19 patients was not changed. Thus, it is necessary to find a way to improve the nursing intention toward COVID-19 patients.

      • 치과위생사의 손위생과 개인보호구 수행의 관련요인

        The purpose of this study was to investigate hand hygiene maintenance and the use of personal protective equipment by dental hygienists. The study is based on a survey of 377 dental hygienists working in clinical settings. The data were analyzed using the SPSS 20.0 statistical program, and a p<0.05 was considered significant. The results indicated that average hand hygiene maintenance rate was 3.66±0.31, Factors that influence the maintenance of the hand hygiene include duration and technique of scrubbing, as well as condition of the hands, and techniques used for drying etc. and the average use of personal protective equipment rate was 3.33±0.34. Maintenance of hand hygiene and use of personal protective equipment by dental workers varied according to environmental factors, such as hospital type, accreditation of dental hospital, number of dental hygienists, and number of patients a day(p<0.05). In order to enhance the maintenance of hand hygiene and usage personal protective equipment, program development and implementation for teaching of and adherence to aseptic procedures is very important. Such a program should include periodic reinforcement of infection control education and regular monitoring of infection control activities.

        의료기기 재처리 세척 직원의 개인보호구 착용 이행의 영향요인

        Purpose: This study aimed to identify the factors affecting compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) useamong medical device reprocessing staff. Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional study included 163 cleaning staffmembers from ten general hospitals in Seoul and Gyeonggi. Data were collected using self-report questionnairesadministered between July and September 2023. Analysis included t-tests, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient,Bonferroni correction, and multiple regression, conducted using SAS ver.9.4. Results: Statistically significant differencesin compliance with PPE were found based on department and exposure to contamination within six months (t=-2.82,p=.007). Attitudes toward PPE (r=.22, p=.006) and awareness of the safety climate (r=.22, p=.006) showed a statisticallysignificant positive correlation with PPE compliance. Factors influencing use of personal protective equipment by cleaningstaff during medical device reprocessing were department, compliance with PPE, and awareness of the safety climate. The explanatory power of these factors was 58.0%. Conclusion: Improving PPE compliance and creating a safe cleaningenvironment entails fostering a supportive safety climate. Additionally, regular training that takes into consideration thecharacteristics of the cleaning staff, alongside continuous monitoring, is required.

        Background: Job-appropriate personal protective equipment(PPE) is important for decreasing the high rates of occupational injury experienced by construction site. Objective: This analysis describes Personal protective equipment payment methods improvement by revision of occupation safety&health acts. Methodes: Data are show up during the past 9 year statistics for occupation injury cases from actual construction site in Korea construction company. Results: Most construction workers are not wearing PPE because of non-payment of PPE by employer mainly small enterprises. Conclusions: Construction site workers should be buy with job appropriate PPE themselves. Buying of PPE is essential in the near future and government should be provide appropriate compensation for self-buying action such as raise retirement deduction installment or raise of industrial accident insurance.

      • 작업환경에서 화학물질 노출에 대한 보호구 착용의 효과 - 피부건강 만족도를 중심으로 -

        Purpose : This study is a cross-sectional study of workers who measured their skin health satisfaction using a smart measuring device to evaluate the effects of chemical exposure and protective clothing in the work environment. Methods : Data collection was conducted from 12 May to 7 July 2023, and the researcher personally installed smart skin diagnostic devices near the workplaces of the workers, explaining the purpose and method of this study. The questionnaire was completed by 145 workers from various industries. Results : The factors affecting the subjects' skin health satisfaction were analysed. For the gender variable, the B value was .089, the standard error was 1.032, the probability of significance was .931, and the OR value was 1.093, with a 95% confidence interval of .979 to 1.036. Statistical information on other variables such as industry, job description, use of protective equipment, and exposure to chemicals or dust were also presented, but all were not significant. Conclusion : The results of this study showed that the differences in the variables of gender, type of work, main work, substances used in the main work, protective equipment, and experience of chemical exposure on skin health satisfaction were not significant. However, the risk of harm to workers' skin health caused by chemicals in the workplace is an important part that cannot be overlooked, and it is meaningful that smart devices were used, and this study aims to raise awareness of skin diseases of workers in the workplace and provide basic data for further research.
