The most important element is a rise ratio when regarding beauty and economics of arch bridges. Only the effect of dead load has been considered to decide the rise ratio. In this study, when going over the rise ratio of arch bridges, examined the problems, that the determination of the rise ratio by the dead load has, by adding the factor of a determination of optimum rise ratio, which is not only the effect of the dead load that has been currently considered but also the problem with respect to wind resistant dynamic stability that is now taken seriously. Synthetically, when deciding rise ratio that is investigated in basic step of design, it is not necessary to consider the evaluation wind resistant dynamic stability. Therefore the result of this research can be summarized as followes ; If it is identify oneself with rise ratio that the divided ratio due to the tie girder of the 3 continuous spans half-through steel arch bridges cannot cause a big effect in stability the wind resistant dynamic stability. If it is identify oneself with the relative stiffness ratio and girder depth ratio of the 3 continuous spans half-through steel arch bridges that the rise ratio proposes that it uses 0.10~0.30, divided ratio due to tie girder proposes that it uses 1.0~2.5 because of the wind resistant dynamic stability and the stress of the hanger. The rise ratio proposes that it uses 0.16~0.18 is given by the Japanese bridge construction association to obtained in investigation equation between an arch span length and the rise, using 0.1~0.2 at the basic design phase and the divided ratio which using 1.5 due to tie girder generally has been employed to main results and very well agrees with a research accomplishment results.
Blood KL-6 Predicts Disease Progression in IPF Patients Receiving Antifibrotic Therapy

Background The use of antifibrotic agent can reduce disease progression (DP) in patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). However, prognostic biomarker for DP in IPF patients receiving antifibrotic therapy is not well known. The purpose of this study was to evaluate predicting values of serum Krebs von den Lungen-6 (KL-6) for DP in patients with IPF. Methods Clinical data were retrospectively analyzed in 77 IPF patients who initiate antifibrotic therapy. DP was defined as a relative decline in forced vital capacity (FVC) ≥10% or diffusion of carbon monoxide (DLco) ≥15%, acute exacerbation, or deaths during 6 months after antifibrotic therapy. Results Of total patients, the mean age was 67.4 years and male were 76.6%. The median follow-up period after initiation of antifibrotic therapy was 8.0 months, and DP occurred in 19 patients (24.7%). At baseline, patients with DP showed lower FVC, and total lung capacity (TLC), and shorter the 6-minute walk test distance (6MWD) than those without. There were no differences in baseline KL-6 and change of KL-6 for 1 month from baseline between two groups. However, in the subgroup analysis according to the baseline KL-6 levels, among patients with elevated KL-6 levels (≥500 U/mL; n=61), the absolute and relative changes of KL-6 for 1 month were higher in patients with DP than those without. In the multivariable logistic analysis adjusted by age, higher changes of KL-6 for 1 month ([absolute] odds ratio [OR] 1.003, p=0.033; [relative] OR: 1.042, p=0.027, respectively) were associated with DP, along with lower FVC and shorter 6MWD. KL-6 changes for 1 month were also correlated with FVC change for 6 months (Figure 1). Conclusions Our data suggest that the change of KL-6 for 1 month are useful in predicting DP in IPF patients receiving antifibrotic therapy, along with baseline FVC and 6MWT distance.

In this paper we propose multi-grounded neutral design method which was considered of transferred transient overvoltage when line to neutral fault occurs. Specially, In order to confirm the actual transient overvoltage magnitude which occurs on neutral line, we considered some screening(shielding) effects. The screening coefficient was deducted from field test results and calculation in a distribution line which is identical with an actual power line. The purpose of this paper is to attempt to suggest the guidance for grounding skystem design considering limitation of overvoltage for LV side in IEC 61936. The result is based on EMTP simulation and real field faults situation in distribution lines.

Systemic heating and cooling air conditioning systems are popular in various industrial fields and even home. Recently, the rate of supply of this kind of multi-heat pump has been increased under ESCO financing supporting system. Generally the heat pumping system has a structural simplicity and easy installation benefits. and has good running efficiency under normal designed condition. But under extreme climate condition (over +30℃, under -10℃), this system exposes abnormal power consumption. It causes high progressive electric power rates and resultant peak power capacity of power plant. In this paper, a novel system concept of buffering refrigerant accumulator and constant pressure control system to relieve peak power load is proposed and this system’s utility is verified with an prototype experimental system
