      • Effects on physical Fitness of Loss in Weight Methods : 體重減量方法이 體力에 미치는 影響 With Refreence to a wrestler

        This study ecforced a physical fitness examination of pre-test and post-test of loss in weight by decreasing 6% of self weight for 6 days, applying to 15 wrestlers who belong to Fly. Bantam grade of four high school in In-Chon direct control city by using Running Sauna and reduced diet cure methods. This analyzed the differences between pre and post test of loss in weight and tried to find more effective solution to loss in weight. 1) As a result of the analysis of variance for investigating the change of physical fitness among reducing methods in pre-test, Sit-up and side step indicated the significant differences in each grade. 2) In loss in weight by Running, there were no big differences in all items. 3) In loss in weight by Sauna, Sit-Up indicated 8.45% decrease, but Trunk Extension indicated 6.3% increase. 4) Reduced diet cure group indicated decrease in all items. Especially Sit-up indicated very big decrease of 21.21%. 5) As a result of this experimentation research, we can find that loss in weight by running of three methods is the most effective method.

      • 초음파 가이드를 통한 맥락막상강출혈의 치료

        Purpose : Intraoperative suprachoroidal hemorrhage is one of the most serious complications. We report a case of suprachoroidal hemorrhage during phacoemulsification surgery, was managed properly. Methods : Suprachoroidal hemorrhage occurred during phacoemulsificaiton in other hospital. The patient was referred to our department immediately after closing the surgical wound. On initial examination, iris and vitreous were prolapsed through surgical wound. Ciliary body was closely place to anterior chamber, and retina was not visible. Results : Prolapased ocular tissue were reduced by emergency operation. We controlled the patient’s intraocular pressure and inflammation. Ultrasonography was repeatedly performed to check the degree of liquefaction of suprachoroidal hemorrhage. After 9 days of suprachoroidal hemorrhage onset, vitrectomy and drainage through sclera was performed. Postoperative state was stable with successful removal of suprachoroidal hemorrhage. After 2 weeks of secondary operation, retinal detachment has occurred on nasal retinal area, so we performed scleral buckling and endolaser photocoagulation. After 6 months, retina was attached well and intraocular pressure was in normal range. Conclusion : In suprachoroidal hemorrhage, drainage of suprachoroidal hemorrhage after liquefaction of thrombi is effective. After successful drainage, postoperative complications may accompany such as retinal detachment or elevation of intraocular pressure. 목적 : 술중 발생하는 맥락막상 출혈은 매우 심각한 합병증이다. 저자는 수정체 유화술 중에 발생한 맥락막상 출혈을 적절히 대처한 증례를 보고하는 바이다. 대상과 방법 : 수정체 유화술 중 발생한 맥락막상강 출혈환자가 수술창을 봉합 후 즉시 본원으로 전원되었다. 초진시 홍채와 유리체가 수술창을 통해 탈출되어 있었으며, 전방을 통해 모양체가 확인되었으나, 망막은 보이지 않았다. 탈출된 안구내 조직을 응급수술을 통해 복원 후 환자의 안압과 염증을 조절하였다. 초음파를 반복적으로 실시하여 맥락막상 출혈의 액화 정도를 확인하였으며, 출혈 9일 후 유리체 절제술과 공막을 통한 배액술을 시행하였다. 결과 : 맥락막상 출혈이 성공적으로 제거되었으며 술 후 상태는 안정적이었다. 수술 2주 후 비측 망막 박리가 발생하여 공막돌륭술과 안구내 삽관 레이저술을 시행하였다. 6개월 후 망막은 잘 붙어있었으며, 안압은 정상 범위를 유지하였다. 결론 : 맥락막상 출혈의 경우 출혈의 배액 시기를 결정하는 것이 어렵지만, 규칙적인 초음파를 통해 배액술의 시기를 결정할 수 있다. 또한 맥락막상강 출혈의 성공적인 배액 이후에도 망막박리 및 안압상승과 같은 합병증의 동반에 대해 유념해야한다.

        뇌종양 환자의 제왕절개술을 위한 전신마취 : 증례 보고 A case report

        A 28-year-old primigravida at 33 weeks gestation was referred to our hospital because of aggravation of seizures which occurred intermittently for the past 2 years. A brain magnetic resonance imaging scan taken at 33 weeks gestation showed a large brain tumor (7 × 5 × 4 cm) in the left high frontal lobe. She had a cesarean section under general anesthesia at 38 weeks and 1 day gestation. General anesthesia was induced with thiopental 250 mg, succinyleholine 75 mg and lidocaine 60 mg after a vecuronium 0.8 mg intravenous injection. The hyperventilation and mannitol used to reduce increased intracranial pressure (ICP) in this patient may be harmful and detrimental to the fetus before delivery. Achieving both ICP control and fetal well being at the same time during a cesarean section can be challenging to anesthesiologists. We report the anesthetic management of a cesarean section in a patient with a large brain tumor. (Korean J Anesthesiol 2002; 43: 515~519)

      • A case of lichen amyloidosis in an adult

        Lichen amyloidosis is a type of primary localized cutaneous amyloidosis clinically characterized by persistent pruritic, hyperkeratotic papules commonly distributed on the shins. Histopathologically, amyloid deposition in the papillary dermis is the characteristic finding. It appears to be more common in males and most often occurs in people 50-60 years of age. A 49-year-old woman presented with brownish papuloplaques on the both lower legs. Itching sense was severe and the lesion was occurred 2 years ago. Histopatholgic findings showed amyloid deposit in the papillary dermis. D-PAS staining was negative. Based on these findings, a diagnosis of lichen amyloidosis was made. We think this case has typical chracteristics of lichen amyloidosis. Therefore we report a case of lichen amyloidosis for educational purposes.

        좌새골하정맥을 통하여 중심정맥도관 삽입 3 일 후에 발생한 상대정맥천공과 우흉수 : 증례 보고 A case report

        A 67-year-old male patient had coronary artery bypass graft. Before the induction of general anesthesia, 16 gauge central venous catheter was inserted via left subclavian vein. Initial chest anteroposterior (AP) radiograph showed adequate position, and the central venous pressure measurement through it was satisfactory. This patient's progress was satisfactory, and he was extubated on the second postoperative day. Daily chest AP radiograph had been unremarkable until the third postoperative day, when a right-sided pleural effusion was seen. A day later, the patient complained severe chest pain and dyspnea. We suspected perforation of superior vena cava wall by tip of central venous catheter on the chest computerized tomograph (CT). The injection of radiopaque dye through the central venous catheter confirmed spillage into the mediastinum on the chest CT. Right chest tube was inserted. The patient's condition dramatically improved after chest tube insertion. (Korean J Anesthesiol 2002; 43: 525~530)

      • 玄胡索중 3級鹽基成分의 分離와 定量에 관한 硏究

        A new application of specrophotometry for the isolation and determination of tertiary base in Corydalis Tuber was investigated. In order to establish the method for isolation and determination of tertiary base in the Corydalis Tuber. Tertiary base was isolated from Corydalis Tuber by organic solvent. When tertiary base was added to a solution containing cobaltous ion and excess thiocyan ion, yellowish-green, 1,2-dichloroethane-solube(base)_2Co(SCN)_4 precipitate. Supportive evidence for identification could be obtained by complexation with tetrathiocyanatocobaltate(Ⅱ) ion. The ultraviolet-visible spectrum of complex vompound in 1,2-dichloroethane exhibits maxima at 282nm and 624nm. The tertiary base was isolated from compex compound and identified as glaucine by UV-Visible spectrum and TLC. A tertiary base in 1,2-dichloroethane scanned from 200nm to 400nm qualitatively exhibits the same absorbance characteristics at identical wavelength as does isolated and concomitantly measured solution of a complex compound. The tertiary base components present in comples compound have been resolved on an absorbance solvent. And it is studied that the differential determination of tertiary base in Corydalis Tuber by spectrophometry. The tertiary base is determined by absorbance of colored products that is produced to reaction of tetrathiocyanatocobaltate(Ⅱ) ion under determination of tertiary base was possible to the range of glaucine 0.100mg/ml-1.000mg/ml in 1,2-dichloroethane. (maximum wavelength; 624nm) The calibration curve showed that the coefficient of variation was 0.9999% for glaucine. Also reproducibility tests showed that the coefficient of variation was 0.9999%. Arepid, specific and precise method using UV-Visible spectrophotometry and TLC has been developed for the isolation and determination of tertiary base in the Corydalis Tuber. The method was applicable to the isolation and determination of tertiary base in Corydalis Tuber or it's extract.

        In this study, Mechanical property, thermal property, watervapor, and oxygen permeability of biodegradable Soy protein/Pectin-montmorillonite nanocomposite, prepared with Na^(+)-MMT, have been studied. X-ray diffraction and TEM experiments an polymer/silicate composite samples demonstrated that the intercalation of polymer chains leads to increase in the spacing between silicate layers. In addition, it were found that the intercalated Soy protein/Pectin/montmorillonite nanocomposite were prepared. It was found that the addition of only a small of clay was enough to improve the thermal stability and mechanical property of Soy protein/Pectin/montmorillonite nanocomposite. watervapor of Soy protein/Pectin/montmorillonite nanocomposite was generally lower than that of Soy protein/Pectin. oxygen permeability of Soy protein/Pectin/montmorillonite nanocomposite was generally lower than that of Soy protein/Pectin.

      • Removing Effects of Off-Flavor on Perilla Seed Oil by Supercritical Carbon Dioxide Extraction

        This study was performed to investigate the removing effects by supercritical carbon dioxide (SC-CO₂) extraction for perilla seed oil. Perilla seed oil was treated by SC-CO₂ with different pressure (125, 175 and 225 bar) and temperatures (25, 35, and 45℃). The volatile compounds in perilla seed oil was extracted by simultaneous distillation extraction (SDE), and analysed by gas chromatograph-mass spectrometer (GC-MS). 6 kinds of off-flavor like green, woody and leaf volatile compounds (1-penten-3-ol, hexanal, perillene, perilla ketone, (E)-α-bergamotene, caryophyllene oxide) were separated and analysed. Hexanal, perilla ketone, (E)-α-bergamotene and caryophyllene oxide compounds were decreased from 2.51 ppm to 1.72-2.28 ppm, from 185.48 ppm to 44.41-64.44 ppm, from 6.74 ppm to 3.49-5.38 ppm, and from 2.06 ppm to 1.32-1.81 ppm, respectively. But 1-penten-3-ol and perillene were not decreased significantly. Also, 2-ethylfuran and caryophyllene were decreased after SC-CO₂ extraction. These results suggested that SC-CO₂ extraction method can be effective deodorization method of off-flavor on perilla seed oil.

        Cuscuta japonica BuOH Fraction Stimulates Hair Growth in the Cyclophosphamide-induced Alopecia Model C57BL/6 Mouse

        The effects of Cuscuta japonica BuOH fraction (CJBF) on the proliferation of human hair dermal papilla cells (HHDPCs) and on the stimulation of hair growth in a cyclophosphamide (CYP)-induced alopecia model C57BL/6 mouse were studied. In cell-based MTT assay, the proliferation rates were increased 25% in CJBF treated group of CYP-treated HHDPCs. Gene expression-based RT-PCR study was conducted to find the mechanism. The ratio of Bcl-2/Bax gene expression was increased 195% in CJBF treated group onto CYP-treated HHDPCs. In CYP-induced alopecia model C57BL/6 mouse study, promotion of hair growth was observed in the mouse groups treated with the CJBF and CYP-injection. Tissue histological analysis showed the number of hair follicles and the thickness of the epidermis were increased in the CJBF treated groups. Also, to find the possible mechanism, western blot assay was adopted for the tissues of CJBF treated mouse group. Anti-apoptotic Bcl-2 proteins were increased, and pro-apoptotic Bax proteins were decreased by 329%. The results led the conclusion that CJBF promotes hair growth and retards the catagen phase in HHDPCs and C57BL/6 mouse model. Therefore CJBF might be a potential new therapeutic source for the prevention of hair loss.
