The diagnostic requirements were suggested and explained regarding the systems of differentiation of symptoms and signs in the third year study of standardization and unification of the terms and conditions used for diagnosis in oriental medicine. The systems were as follows : - analyzing and differentiating of epidemic febrile disease - analyzing and differentiating in accordance with the Sasang constitution medicine based on four-type recognition - differentiation of disease according to pathological changes of Chong and Ren channels - standards for diagnosis of women's disease - standards for diagnosis of children's disease - standards for diagnosis of motor and sensor disturbance (-muscle. born, joint, etc.) - standards for diagnosis of neuropsychiatric disease - standards for diagnosis of five sense organ disease - standards for diagnosis of external disease The indivisual diagnosis pattern was arranged by the diagnostic requirements in the following order : another name, notion of diagnosis pattern, index of differentiation of symptoms and signs, the main point of diagnosis, analysis of diagnosis pattern, discrimination of diagnosis pattern, prognosis, a way of curing a disease, prescription, herbs in common use, disease appearing the diagnosis pattern, documents. The standards for diagnosis of each disease was arranged by the diagnostic requirements in the following order : another name, notion of disease, the main point of diagnosis, analyzing and differentiating of disease, analysis of disease, discrimination of disease, prognosis, a way of curing and prescription of disease, disease in western medicine appearing the disease in oriental medicine, documents.

Leptaulax koreanus is an endemic species inhabiting the Gwagneung Forest in Pocheon-si, Gyeonggi-do,Korea. However, its developmental characteristics have not been well studied. Thus, the aim of this studywas to establish data on the developmental characteristics of L. koreanus via indoor rearing. Developmentalcharacteristics were examined under indoor conditions (25 C, 70% relative humidity, 16L:8D),where females oviposited between 12 and 63 eggs (32 eggs on average) during the ovipositing seasonand with the highest ovipositing rate on the 21st day after the first oviposition. Immediately after ovipositing, the eggs were reddish brown in color, changing to green upon maturation. The durations ofeach developmental stages were 9.8 2.2 d, 8.6 1.4 d, 15.6 2.4 d, and 7.2 1.8 d for the first instar, second instar, third instar, and pupation, respectively, with the lifespan of the adults found to be greaterthan 1 year. The results in this study would be a useful source of information for the mass rearingconservation of L. koreanus.
Four Newly Recorded Species of the Family Crambidae (Lepidoptera) from Korea
Roh, Seung Jin,Kim, Sung-Soo,Bae, Yang-Seop,Byun, Bong-Kyu The Korean Society of Systematic Zoology 2014 Animal Systematics, Evolution and Diversity Vol.30 No.4
This study was carried out to report the newly recorded species of the family Crambidae, belonging to the order Lepidoptera. During the course of investigation on the family Crambidae in South Korea, the following four species are reported for the first time from Korea: Diplopseustis perieresalis (Walker, 1859), Dolicharthria bruguieralis (Duponchel, 1833), Herpetogramma ochrimaculale (South, 1901), and Omiodes diemenalis ($Guen{\acute{e}}e$, 1854). Among them two genera, Diplopseustis Meyrick and Dolicharthria Stephens, are also newly reported from Korea. External and genital characteristics of adults were examined and illustrated. All of the newly recorded species were enumerated with their available information including the collecting localities, illustrations of adults, and genitalia.
First Discovery of the Lichen-Feeding Moth Bacotia sakabei (Lepidoptera: Psychidae) from Korea
Roh, Seung Jin,Byun, Bong-Kyu The Korean Society of Systematic Zoology 2017 Animal Systematics, Evolution and Diversity Vol.33 No.1
The family Psychidae is a small group consisting of 241 genera and 1,350 species in the world. The genus Bacotia, belonging to the family Psychidae, what was established by Tutt based on the type species, Fumea sepium Speyer and Speyer, 1846. In this study, we aimed to record lichen-feeding bagworms in Korea. The genus Bacotia Tutt is reported for the first time from Korea with one newly recorded species, Bacotia sakabei Seino, 1981. All available information, including the collecting localities, host plants, illustrations of adults and genitalia are presented. A DNA barcode for precise identification of the species is also described.
