Sound Absorption Rate and Sound Transmission Loss of Wood Bark Particle (목재수피 파티클의 흡음율과 음향투과손실)

In this study, sound absorption capability and sound transmission loss of several kinds of target densities and thickness for six species of wood bark particle were estimated by the transfer function and transfer matrix methods. Resultantly, the mean sound absorption coefficient of a 100-mm thick Hinoki wood bark particle mat was 0.90 in the frequency range of 100-6400 Hz, whereas the mean sound absorption rate of a 50-mm thick Hinoki wood bark particle mat was 0.84 in the same frequency range. Particularly, at a thickness of 100 mm, it reached almost up to 100% in the frequency range of 1 KHz. The sound transmission losses of 100-mm thick Hinoki wood bark particle mat with a target density of 0.16 at 500 and 1000 Hz were 15.30 and 15.73 dB, respectively. When a 10-mm thick plywood was attached to the back of the wood particle mat, the sound transmission losses was increased by 20-30 dB. Wood bark can be used as an acoustical material owing to its high sound absorption rate and transmission loss.

The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of service quality of sport programs in a public sport center on purchasing, customer satisfaction, and trust. The respondents for this study were participants of the center (n=331) located in Nowon-Gu, Seoul in Korea. Respondents consist of 166 males and 165 females. The respondents were over 19 years old and had participated in the sport center program. The study utilized survey instruments by using convenience sampling method. The questionnaire was consisted of service quality, satisfaction, trust, loyalty, customer`s repurchasing intention, and socio-demographic variables. The data were analysed by using SPSS ver 15.0 and AMOS 7.0. Factor analysis, correlational analysis, structural equation model were used where appropriate. Findings are as follows: First, service quality were found to significantly impact on customer satisfaction, trust, customer`s repurchasing intention, and loyalty, Second, it was found that personnel factor significantly influenced on customer satisfaction. Third, customer satisfaction. was found to significantly influence on customer`s trust. Fourth, customer satisfaction. was found to significantly influence on customer`s loyalty. Fifth, customer trust was not found to significantly influence on customer`s loyalty. Sixth, customer`s loyalty was found to significantly influence on customer`s repurchasing intention.

Chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension is the result of single or recurrent pulmonary emboli arising from sites of venous thrombosis. For reasons still unknown, the emboli in chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension patients do not resolve completely. The vessels involved are the central elastic vessels such as main, lobar and/or segmental arteries. Such patients should be considered separately from acute pulmonary embolism because their thrombi are potentially removable by surgical thromboendarterectomy, The prevalence of deep vein thrombosis and pulmonory embolism seems to be lov, in Korea. But, we experienced 3cases of chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension in a year recently. They complained of progressive exertional dyspnea for a few months to years. Lung perfusion scan revealed multiple segmental perfusion defects and pulmonary angiography, spiral CT reveal multiple defects in main and lobar pulmonary arteries. One patient(case1) died of low output cardiac failure while waiting for operation, and another patient(case2) has been treated medically at OPD, one(case3) was treated by right main pulmonary artery thromboendarterectomy and his pulmonary arterial pressure was sucessfully dropped from 60/39mmHg to 26/18mmHg. We reported 3cases of chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension with review of literatures.

<P>Stress urinary incontinence (SUI) is one of the major medical problems for adult females and has a devastating effect on their quality of life. The major cause of the development of the SUI is dysfunction of the urethral supporting tissues as a result of aging and childbirth. In this study, in situ gel-forming bulking agent loaded with dual growth factors, nerve growth factor (NGF) and basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF), was fabricated. The bulking agent consisted of three components; (i) polycaprolactone (PCL) beads, (ii) bFGF-loaded nanogels, and (iii) NGF-loaded in situ gel forming solution. The bulking agent can provide an initial passive bulking effect (from the PCL beads) and regenerate malfunctioning tissues around the urethra (from the sequential and continuous release of growth factors from the hydrogel) for the effective treatment of SUI. The PCL beads were located stably at the applied urethra site (urinary incontinent SD rat) without migration to provide a passive bulking effect. The sequential release of the growth factors (NGF within a week and bFGF for more than 4 weeks) from the bulking agent provided regeneration of damaged nerve and smooth muscle, and thus enhanced biological function around the urethra. From the findings, we suggest that dual growth factor (NGF and bFGF)-loaded in situ gel-forming bulking agent may be a promising injectable bioactive system for the treatment for SUI.</P>
