      • Shift-Register Pipeline Multiplexer를 이용한 16-Channel C^2MOS Time Switch

        A high-speed 16-channel LSI time switch using a shift-register pipeline multiplexer has been designed. Clocked CMOS(C^2MOS) circuits have been used to avoid clock skew problem. C^2MOS is summerized as follows: 1) efficient and uniform layout of P-and N-channel regions; 2) reduction of the number of contact holes; 3) reduction of the number of elements on chips. The CMOS-LSI includes about 640 transistors and has a chip size of about 3.097mm square.

      • 자석식 파이프 절단기의 등판각 판별을 위한 실시간 비선형 에스터메이터의 설계

        During pipe cutting process, the gravity acting on the pipe-cutting machine widely varies. That is, the cutting machine gets fast when moving from the top to the bottom of the pipe and slow when moving from the bottom to the top. Actually the system is kind of a non-linear system where the gravity is function of climbing angle of the cutting machine along the pipe. Expecially jerking motion is critical. Therefore, authors design the non-linear estimator that estimates the current position of the machine along the pipe and that compensates the effect of gravity in this paper. It receives the feed-back signal from encoder connected with the motor. To show the control performance of the designed algorithm, experiments with general velocity profiles are tested.

      • 근육세포 분화에 대한 TGF-β1과 OP-1의 억제 효과

        In order to investigate the effect of Transforming growth factor β1(below TGF-β1) and osteogenic protein-1(below OP-1) onto the myogenic differentiation, C_2C_12 satellite myoblastic cell line was cultured and treated with both growth factors. At first morphological changes with microscopical examination were examined, and isolated total RNA to analyse mRNA expression of bone marker proteins, muscle regulatory proteins, TGF-β receptor and their ligands by Northern blot analysis. And cellular proliferative inducibility of both growth factors was also tested to C_2C_12 cells. Incubating the cell with 5 ng/㎖ of TGF-β1 until 4 days almost inhibited multinucleated myotube formation expressing muscular regulatory proteins, and induced decreasing Id proteins. However, no osteoblastic phenotypes was induced by TGF-β1 in C_2C_12 cells. The mRNA expression of TGF-β receptors with TGF-β1 was conversed after 48 hours cultured. Type I TGF-β receptor was seemed to play a role in negative signalling for inhibition of myogenic differentiation. OP-1 dose dependently induced ALP activity, osteopontine production and bone sialoprotein production at concentrations above 100ng/㎖ and osteocalcin production at concentrations above 300ng/㎖. The concentration of OP-1 required to induce these osteoblastic phenotypes was the same as that required to almost completely inhibit myotube formation. Incubation with above 100ng/㎖ OP-1 suppressed the expression of mRNA for muscular regulatory proteins from 2 days after incubation. Expression of Id-1, 2, 3 mRNA were stimulated by OP-1 at concentration above 300ng/㎖. When C_2C_12 cells were treated with both growth factors. TGF-β1 potentiated the inhibitory effect of OP-1 on myotube formation and expression of mRNA for myogenin at 12 days. And TGF-β1 reduced osteocalcin and bone sialoprotein production induced by OP-1 at 12 days in C_2C_12 cells. Both growth factor had no mitogenic effect. These results indicate that OP-1 converts the differentiation pathway of C_2C_12 myoblasts into that of osteoblastic lineage cells and it's not heritable, but TGF-β1 does not and has reversible inhibitory activity on the myogenic differentiation. TGF-β1 and OP-1 play a role in myogenic differentiation via different mechanism between them.

      • 汎-고양이 植物凝集素로 分類한 사람 血靑型에 關한 硏究

        Since the first study of phytagglutinin (PHA) in 1908 there have been many reports on PHA. THe utilization of PHAs in the medical and medicolegal field is increasing, especially as lectins for the blood grouping, as mitogens for the artificial culture of human cells, and as determinants of the receptor specificity of various tumor cells. There are reports that human serum can be classified not only by agglutination activity to the animal red blood cells but by inhibition property to agglutination reaction of PHA to various red blood cells. In this study, to examine serologocal relationships of human serum types classified by agglutination activity to cat red blood cells and by inhibition properties to agglutination reaction of PHA with cat red blood cells, agglutination test, agglutination lnhibition test, and titration of agglutination inhibition were carried out with 948 human sera. The results could be summarized as follows; 1. The human sera were classified into two types according to agglutination activities to cat red blood cells. 2. The human sera were also classified into two types by the inhibition properties against agglitination of Dolichos lablab L. extracts and Celosia argrntea L. extracts to cat red blood cells. 3. It was dermonstrated that there is a close relationship between the serum types classified by agglutination activities to cat red blood cells and those classified by agglutination inhibition properties. 4. The sera of the inhibitor that inhibit the agglutination of pan-cat PHA were classified into two types according to the agglutination activity to the cat red blood cells. The finding in the non-inhibitor's sera were alike as well. 5. It was dermonstrated that the agglutination substance to cat red blood cells and agglutination inhibition substance to pan-cat PHAs in human sera are quite different to each other and exist independently.

      • 구강작열감 증후군 환자에서 Nd-YAG레이저 조사에 대한 구강점막 부위의 통증 인지도와 점막세포 각화도와의 관계

        Background: In order to turn out oral mucosal change in relation to inducing factors of burning mouth syndrome, the difference in pain perception scale and keratinization rate between burning mouth syndrome patients and normal subjects were investigated. Method: The twenty patients (13 female, 7 male, mean age: 59 years) with burning mouth syndrome, presenting in department of Oral Medicine, Chonnam University Hospital were participated in this study. All subjects have been complaining of constant oral burning pain more than a year, never took any strong analgesics, and never had oral mucosal lesions. The twenty volunteers (11 females, 9 meles, mean age: 25 years) were also participated in this study as control group. The control subjects have had no symptoms of oral burning pain. The thernal stimulation by using Nd-YAG laser and cytological smear were done to anterodorsal part of tongue, tip of tongue, left buccal mucosa, lower lip mucosa and chief complaint site. We selected the dorsum of left hand for contrasting skin area with mucosal area of burning mouth syndrome subjects and control subjects. The laser output power could be adjusted from 0.75W to 4W. Results: The pain perception scale of burning mouth syndrome subjects showed lower than that of normal subjects and those sites were chief complaint area, anterodorsal part of tongue and buccal mucosa(p<0.01). The greatest difference of pain perception scale between burning mouth syndrome patients and control subjects in laser thermal stimulation were found on anterodorsal part of tongue. The keratinization rate of burning mouth syndrome subjects showed higher keratinization rate than that of normal subjects and those sites were chief complaint area, anterodorsal part of tongue, tip of tongue, buccal mucosa and lower lip mucosa(p<0.001). Conclusions: Anterodorsal part of tongue was the most appropriate site for the diagnostic laser stimulation. The higher level of keratinization rate and lower level of thermal pain perception scale on oral mucosa of burning mouth syndrome subjects will be explained as the one of protective mechanism against xerostomia and burning sensation. Thus, the application of Nd-YAG laser stimuli and cytological smear to oral mucosal surface could be used usefully as a appropriate and standardized diagnostic tools for chronic orofacial pain subjects.

        약물을 이용한 의식진정시 발생한 부작용에 대한 치험례

        The patients visiting pediatric dental office have been being younger than the previous, and they were often combined with systemic disease. But, we aren't able to perform the verbal communication, because of their impediment and youthfullness. And, we can't carry out the behavior control via physical restraint, as the developed social structure and the attitude of children and their parents. So, the importance and concerning of conscious sedation using sedative medicine are increased by time and time. Among the various conscious sedation, Chloral Hydrate and Nitrous Oxide inhalation are most popularly used, and barbiturates, benzodiazepine, opioids and hydroxyzine are used often. But, these medications have some side-effects and adverse reactions, may be failed to sedate the children. And limited use of medically compromised patients, especially for ASA class Ⅲ, Ⅳ or more dangerous patients. We, the Department of Pediatric Dentistry, Chosun University have met some dangerous situation due to unfavorable pharmacogenic reactions, but we can control the situation and get well healed results. The below results are common situations and their solutions during conscious sedation. 1. By the intravenous administration, thrombophlebitis is the most common side-effects, but it may be healed with time without any special treatment. 2. Under the definitive guidelines about conscious-sedation, we can perform a safe conscious sedation for ASA class Ⅲ patients. 3. When adversed reaction of Benzodiazepine is occured, it could be cared effectively with benzodiazepine antagonist, named Flumazenil.

      • 사람 혈청트란스페린 수용체의 정제와 그 특성에 관한 연구

        사람 트란스페린 수용체는 90-kDa의 분자량을 가진 당단백질이 둘이 결합한 단백질로 두 분자의 트란스페린과 결합할 수 있다. 본 실험에서는 사람 태반과 혈청에서 트란스페린 수용체의 고순도 정제법을 보고한다. 사람 암세포주(K-562와 SNU-1)에서 결합상수를 구해보았으며, 정상세포(적혈구와 단핵구)와 비교하여 차이가 없음을 보고한다. Human transferrin receptor is a disulfide-linked homodimer of 90-kDa glycoprotein, capable of binding two transferrin molecules. The study reports a high yield affinity purification protocol for transferrin receptor from human placenta and serum which produces the highly purified protein. We have examined the binding of human transferrin to cultured human cancer cell lines(K-562, SNU-1). Results indicate the presence of a high affinity saturable binding site(Kd=2.5 × 10-8). However, the difference between the cell line receptors in the dissociation constant have not been observed.
