In a case of driving beginnners, it is very difficult to park a car perfectly because driver's knowledge makes more errors than intelligent mechanism when they are performed repeatedly. However skilled drivers be of experienced knowledge are able to park a car quickly. In this paper, we analyzed driving patterns of skilled drivers, designed the fuzzy controller to park based on it, and perform auto-parking simulation of a car using that controller.

'Introduction' of the book 'Korean ancient history' written by Shin Chae Ho was highly influenced by Liang Qichao's(1873~1929) book 'The methodologies of Chinese history'. Shin Chae Ho borrowed many ideas and most of the organizational framework of his 'Introduction' from Liang Qichao. Shin Chae Ho dealt with the same themes that was found in 'The methodologies of Chinese history' but discussed it in terms of historical documents or events in Korea. Since Liang Qichao referred to 'Introduction to history' written by Ernst Bernheim when he wrote his book, it can be assumed that modern methodologies of western history was adopted by Shin Chae Ho in his 'Introduction'. Shin Chae Ho believed that history is a document of mental activities that develop both spatially and temporally. He emphasized the importance of objective descriptions of historical facts. He also knew the importance of explanations for causal relationship in writing history and of studies of historical records. All these reflect the influences of Liang Qichao and Ernst Bernheim on Shin Chae Ho. However, Shin Chae Ho had his uniqueperspectives as well. For example, he said that history is a struggle between 'me'(or 'us') and 'others'. He also emphasized the importance of specificities and uniqueness of each nation(Minjok). These are indications of his own 'nationalistic history'. In summary, Shin Chae Ho adopted modern methodologies in Western history from Liang Qichao and Ernst Bernheim and developed a new methodology of his own. We now call it methodology of nationalistic history.

After China joined WTO, investment patterns of multinational companies to China are being changed to a center of 'R&D and designs' from 'a base of global factory and manufacturing' by degrees. In the past, Chinese government acquired technologies from foreign countries based on a policy known as "exchanging technologies with markets" and attracted multinational companies through various types of favorable treatments, such as the exemption from taxes. However, due to the imperfection of a system of Chinese market economics and the confusion of policy as well as the internal factors of China-based companies, the transfer of technology was not attained as it was expected. Through recent developments of technology and M&A with foreign high-tech companies driven by Chinese government, a technology competitiveness is being raised, and it has a tendency of changing to a voluntary transfer of technology through an improvement of a system of academic-industrial cooperation to develop China-based companies' R&D. Moreover, it is being changed to a positive and voluntary transfer of technology aiming for the home market, coming out of a passive transfer of technology, based on a continuing advancement of economy and an increase in level of household income. China-based companies start building up the globalized R&D Road Map through a technical cooperation with multinational companies, and a pace of commercializing R&D technology becomes faster. Korean companies are somehow processing a vertical model of technology transfer strategically which leads an involvement of industrial fields to the inducement or the enforcement, while a horizontal model of technology transfer, in which a technology developed within the nation transfers to different industrial fields, is not going well. A demand-oriented cooperation network should be established based on the strategy and the program that could be complementary to limited resources and technology possessed by Korea and that could lead to a joint-ownership of resources and technologies possessed by China. This suggests that the technical cooperation and the strategic transfer of technology between Korea and China and restructuring the advancement of industrial technology should be apace in motion.

The propose of this paper was to examine the effect of surface roughness and shear stress of support medium on the development of biofilm in a rotating biological contactor. The surface roughness of PMMA as a support media was adjusted to 0.4, 0.8, 1.2, and 3㎛, respectively. Shear stress was varied with speed of rotating biological contactor. At low shear stress, bacterial attachment was not varied greatly with surface roughness. But at increased shear stress, bacterial attachment was changed sharply with surface roughness.

경추 척추관절증 환자에서 척수관 전후경의 방사선학적 검토

With the improvement of economic condition and medical care, the average life span has increased, thus making geriatrics an important consideration in the medical field. Degenerative changes of the cervical spine in aged are not uncommon. The discrepancy between symptoms and radiologic features of the cervical spine. Now we surveyed 34 Koreans with cervical spondylosis and myelopathy and 23 normal Koreans. The results of the survey are as follows: 1. In normal control groups, the average sagittal diameter of cervical spines is shorter than European by 1.5mm and longer than Japanese by 1.0mm. 2. Sagittal diameter of the cervical spines is 17.77mm in normal control group and is 16.96mm in patient group. There is a statistically significant difference between normal and patient groups by 0.81mm. 3. Statistically average sagittal diameter in men at each level is longer than in women. 4. The symptoms are most frequently appeared in women more than 40 years old. 5. Average initial sagittal diameter is shorter than normal in patient with spondylosis and myelopathy. Irritation and compression signs of spinal cord and nerve roots are dependent on spur formation and disk herniation. 6. Myelopathy is frequent in those whose sagittal diameter is shorter than 14mm. 7. At 6th cervical spine level, the diameter is shortest.

Pyrimidine계 액정 화학물 합성 과정의 중요한 전구물질인 1-dimethylamino-3-dimethylimino-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)propene perchlorate와 4-((S)-2-methylbutyl)Phenylamidine hydrochloride를 합성하였다. Amidinium염은 4-((S)-2-methylbutyl)acetophenone으로부터 합성하였다. Amidine염과 perchlorate염의 반응에서 얻은 pyrimidine 유도체는 편광현미경과 DSC를 이용하여 분석한 결과 강유전성을 지니는 액정 화합물임을 알 수 있었다. The two synthetic intermediates for the preparation of pyrimidine type liquid crystals, 1-dimethylamino-3-dimethylimino-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)propene perchlorate and 4-((S)-2-methylbutyl)phenylamidine hydrochloride, were synthesized. 1-Dimethylamino-3-dimethylimino-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)propene perchlorate was prepared from the Vilsmeier reaction of 4-hydroxypheylacetic acid, and 4-((S)-2-methylbutyl)phenylamidine hydrochloride was prepared via 4 steps from 4-((S)-2-methylbutyl)acetophenone, respectively. The pyrimidine derivatives prepared from the amidine salt and perchlorate salt showed ferrolelectric mesophases by the DSC and polarized microscopic analysis.

류마티스 관절염 환자에서 발생한 Mycobacterium intracellulare에 의한 관절염 1예

비정형 항산균에 의한 근골격계 감염은 매우 드물며, 진단이 지연되는 경우가 많다. 저자들은 류마티스 관절염환자에서 수차례 스테로이드 주사 후에 생긴 M. intracellulare에 의한 관절염을 진단하고 수술적 치료없이 약물 치료만으로 좋은 결과를 보인 예를 경험하였기에 보고하는 바이다. Nontuberculous mycobacteria are ubiquitous organisms that are frequently present in the water, soil and animal reservoirs. Nontuberculous mycobacterial infections of the musculoskeletal system are rare and usually associated with predisposing factors, such as prior joint disease, trauma, use of intraarticular or oral corticosteroids, or an immunocompromised state. A sixty five-year-old patient with rheumatoid arthritis was hospitalized due to swelling on the left wrist. M. intracellulare was cultured from the aspirated joint fluid. The patient was successfully treated with clarithromycin, ethambutol, and rifampin. We report this case with review, emphasizing high suspicion for nontuberculous mycobacterial infection in patients with predisposing risk factors.

파라메터 추정과 슬라이딩 모드를 이용한 상태관측기 구성에 관한 연구

The observer which is based on sliding mode is robust to uncertainties. It has the error dynamic independent on disturbances or noises. But its dynamics are very coservative because of its dependence of output error. So, in this paper, an observer with a novel sliding mode is proposed. The sliding mode of this observer is designed by defining a extended error state whose dynamic is determined from the output error. In addition to this advantage, the RLS algorithm is made more useful by proposing the data obtaining method from the existing experimental data. The performace of the sliding mode observer can be improved using the parameters from the RLS algorithm.

ADP에 의해서 활성화된 혈관평활근 세포의 증식에 관여하는 Integrin의 종류와 신호 전달 경로

Background: Adenosine diphosphate(ADP), which is usually secreted from activated platelets activates integrin αvβ3. αvβ5, and α5β1 on human vascular smooth muscle cells. Integrins have an important role in the proliferation of vascular smooth muscle cells. ADP may stimulate the proliferation of vascular smooth muscle dells by the activation of integrins. Integrins mediating ADP-stimulate the proliferation of vascular smooth muscle cells and signal transduction pathway of ADP stimulation were investigated in this study. Methods: MTT(3-[4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl]-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide) assay was used to evaluate ADP or ATP-stimulated proliferation of human aortic smooth muscle cells (HASMC). In some experiments, HASMC were incubated with U73122, an inhibitor of phospholipase C, or monoclonal antibodies (mAb) to integrins after ADP of ATP stimulation. Results: ADP and ATP increased the proliferation of HASMC in a dose-dependent manner. U73122 inhibited ADP or ATP stimulated proliferation of HASMC ADP-stimulated proliferation of HASMC was inhibited either by c7E3, a blocking mAb to integrin β3 or by LM609, a blocking mAb to integrin αvβ3(37% and 26% inhibition, respectively: p<0.05), but neither by P1F5, a blocking mAb to integrin αvβ5 nor by JBSS, a blocking mAb to integrin α5β1. Conclusion: These results indicate that ADP increases the proliferation of human vascular smooth muscle cells through phospholipase C pathway, and only integrin αvβ3 mediates ADP-stimulated proliferation of human vascular smooth muscle cells.
