This portal provides a front end environment for employees/management of an organization to keep a track of his/her effort. It is also expected to use SharePoint advanced features such as content management, alerts, information management policies, collaboration features, reporting, and analytics services.

Present study describes the effect of temperatureand pH on biosynthesis of aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) to identifyatoxigenic (aflatoxin non-producer) isolates of Aspergillusflavus. An indigenous detection method for AFB1 wasdeveloped using tandem mass spectrometric method. Detection of AFB1 was carried out in positive polarityusing triple quadrapole mass spectrometer with electrosprayionization interface in Multiple Reaction Monitoring(MRM) mode. A total of four A. flavus isolates wereselected for screening of AFB1 biosynthesis at pH 4.0, 5.5,7.0, and 8.5 at 27°C. Highest AFB1 biosynthesis inMTCC11866 was found at pH 6.5 while in MTCC9367 itwas at pH 7.0. On screening AFB1 biosynthesis in A. flavusculture at various temperatures a significant suppression inAFB1 biosynthesis was found at 37°C in comparison to 24and 27°C in MTCC11866 and MTCC9367. AFB1 was notdetected in other two A. flavus isolates MTCC11580 andMTCC11588 at any temperature and pH tested. AFB1nonproducing isolates, MTCC11580 and MTCC11588could be used as potent biocontrol agent. Additionally,present standardized method for AFB1 detection may findits application in qualitative and quantitative analysis ofAFB1 contamination in food crop and other products.

Damage to the recurrent laryngeal nerves (RLNs) is one of the dreaded complications of thyroid and parathyroid surgery (1). In case of anatomical variations this risk is further increased. Terminal branching of RLN occurs anywhere from several centimeters from the cricothyroid muscle to within the larynx itself (2). Prevalence of extra-laryngeal branching (ELB) is reported to be around 60% (3). Another anatomical variation is anastomosis between RLN, and the cervical sympathetic chain known as sympathetic inferior laryngeal anastomotic branch (SILAB) which is rare (1%–2%) (4). We recently operated upon a patient of papillary thyroid carcinoma and encountered both these anatomic variations.

Plants are an abundant source of medicinal compounds, some of which are useful in combating free radical-1002 (flavonoid-poor fraction) of Hippophae rhamnoideswere screened on the basis of their reducing power in the aqueousphase. REC-1001 was selected for further study, since it exhibited 27.38 times higher antioxidant activity than REC-1002.REC-1001 also showed significant (P. .05) membrane protection potential at 50 .g/mL, which was attributed to its abilityto scavenge peroxyl radicals (64.82. 1.25% scavenging within 1,440 min). A significant (P. .05) difference of 67.02% infree radical scavenging activity at 1,000 ng/mL between REC-1001 and vitamin E demonstrated the extract fraction’s worthc-tion. Further, REC-1001 was found to be nontoxic up to 200 mg/kg of body weight. This research suggests that the REC-1001 fraction of H. rhamnoidesextract is a safe and effective antioxidant nutraceutical product.
Dynamic smile reanimation in facial nerve palsy

Objectives: Long-term facial paralysis results in degeneration of the distal nerve segment and atrophy of the supplied muscles. Options for these patients include free muscle transfer, temporalis myoplasty, and botulinum toxin injections for smile reanimation. In this study we aimed to evaluate the subjective and objective outcomes of these procedures. Materials and Methods: In our study, we retrospectively analyzed smile symmetry in patients with facial palsy (n=8) who underwent facial reanimation procedures. Results: Subjective analysis showed high satisfaction in seven out of eight patients. Objective analysis showed statistically significant improvement postoperatively in both vertical and horizontal smile symmetry at rest and during maximum smile (P<0.001). Conclusion: Choosing the ideal procedure for the patients is the most critical aspect for facial reanimation. Though free muscle transfer is considered gold standard procedure, temporalis myoplasty also gives satisfactory results. Residual synkinesis which can lead to disturbing aesthetic deformity can be effectively treated with botulinum toxin.
