Background and Objective Sleep disturbances among medical students, including insufficient sleep duration and poor sleep quality, are prevalent issues with potential repercussions on mental health. Methods The study evaluated the Vietnamese version of the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) to assess sleep quality and investigated the correlation between the results of the PSQI and Beck Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II) scales in health sciences students. Results We conducted this cross-sectional study at the School of Medicine, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, involving 906 medical, pharmaceutical, and dental students. Data were collected through a self-reporting questionnaire. Conclusions The Vietnamese version of the PSQI scale demonstrates acceptable reliability. Furthermore, positive correlations were observed between the total PSQI score and components of the BDI-II. A recommended cut-off point above 5 is proposed for identifying sleep disturbances among health sciences students using the Vietnamese PSQI. Conclusions The study affirms the reliability of the Vietnamese PSQI scale, suggesting its suitability for screening sleep disturbances among health sciences students in Vietnam. PSQI component scores significantly correlated with total BDI-II score.

Nguyen, Thu-Thuy,Huy, Bui The,Hwang, Seo-Young,Vuong, Nguyen Minh,Pham, Quoc-Thai,Nghia, Nguyen Ngoc,Kirtland, Aaron,Lee, Yong-Ill IOP 2018 Nanotechnology Vol.29 No.20
<P>Cuprous oxide (Cu2O) nanostructure has been synthesized using an electrochemical method with a two-electrode system. Cu foils were used as electrodes and NH2(OH) was utilized as the reducing agent. The effects of pH and applied voltages on the morphology of the product were investigated. The morphology and optical properties of Cu2O particles were characterized using scanning electron microscopy, x-ray diffraction, and diffuse reflectance spectra. The synthesized Cu2O nanostructures that formed in the vicinity of the anode at 2 V and pH?=?11 showed high uniform distribution, small size, and good electrochemical sensing. These Cu2O nanoparticles were coated on an Indium tin oxide substrate and applied to detect non-enzyme glucose as excellent biosensors. The non-enzyme glucose biosensors exhibited good performance with high response, good selectivity, wide linear detection range, and a low detection limit at 0.4 <I>μ</I>M. Synthesized Cu2O nanostructures are potential materials for a non-enzyme glucose biosensor.</P>
Gain and Frequency-Selectivity Enhancement of Dual-Polarized Filtering IBFD Antenna Using PRS
Ngoc Tien Le,Truong Le-Huu,Ngoc An Nguyen,Son Xuat Ta,Khac Kiem Nguyen,Nghia Nguyen-Trong 한국전자파학회 2023 Journal of Electromagnetic Engineering and Science Vol.23 No.4
A dual-polarized filtering Fabry–Perot antenna (FPA) with high selectivity and high isolation is proposed for in-band full-duplex (IBFD) applications. The proposed antenna utilizes a square patch as the feeding element, which is fed by a double differential-fed scheme for dual-polarized radiation with high isolation. The patch is loaded with a symmetrical cross-slot and four shorting pins for a broad passband filtering feature. To enhance broadside gain across a wide frequency range, the patch is incorporated with a partially reflecting surface (PRS), which is composed of two complementary cross-slot and patch arrays. Moreover, the frequency selectivity of PRS is exploited to improve the filtering characteristic. The double differential feeds are realized based on out-of-phase power dividers, which are combined with simple low-pass filters to further improve the out-of-band suppression. The final design was fabricated and measured. The measurement results show excellent results with a 10-dB return loss bandwidth of 21.5% (4.91–6.09 GHz), isolation of greater than 40 dB, peak gain of 13.7 dBi, out-of-band suppression level of better than 27 dB, and a cross-polarization level of less than -27 dB.

Even though so much progresses have been achieved in Multiple Object Tracking (MOT), most of reported MOT methods are not still satisfactory for commercial embedded products like Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) camera. In this paper, we propose a real-time multiple pedestrians tracking method for embedded environments. First, we design a new light weight convolutional neural network(CNN)-based pedestrian detector, which is constructed to detect even small size pedestrians, as well. For further saving of processing time, the designed detector is applied for every other frame, and Kalman filter is employed to predict pedestrians' positions in frames where the designed CNN-based detector is not applied. The pose orientation information is incorporated to enhance object association for tracking pedestrians without further computational cost. Through experiments on Nvidia's embedded computing board, Jetson TX2, it is verified that the designed pedestrian detector detects even small size pedestrians fast and well, compared to many state-of-the-art detectors, and that the proposed tracking method can track pedestrians in real-time and show accuracy performance comparably to performances of many state-of-the-art tracking methods, which do not target for operation in embedded systems.

A simple colorimetric method was proposed for the determination of folic acid (FA) using a paper-basedsubstrate. The mechanism of the folic acid probe is based on the improvement of electron transfer fromthe rhodamine B derivative to Cu2+ in the presence of folic acid. Upon the addition of folic acid, thestructural conversion of the rhodamine B derivative, in which the spirolactam ring (colorless) was openedlittle to the open-ring form (pink color) by Cu2+, was amplified clearly. The change of color intensity canbe observed by either UV–vis spectrophotometer or naked eye. The color of the paper-based substratewas analyzed using the red, green, blue (RGB) values, which were collected from images captured witha smartphone application. The folic acid paper-based probe exhibited good linearity in the range of40–260 nM with a limit of detection (LOD) of 22 nM. The proposed probe exhibits a high potential fordetecting folic acid in real samples including drug tablets, human serum, and urine.

The Effect of Social Capital on Social Entrepreneurial Intention among Vietnamese Students
HA, Ngoc Thang,DOAN, Xuan Hau,VU, Trong Nghia,NGUYEN, Thi Phuong Linh,PHAN, Thanh Hoa,DUONG, Cong Doanh Korea Distribution Science Association 2020 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.7 No.8
This study develops the model to estimate the links between social capital, social entrepreneurial self-efficacy, perceived desirability and social entrepreneurial intention. Besides exploring the direct impacts of social capital, social entrepreneurial self-efficacy, and perceived desirability on social entrepreneurial intention, this study also focus on discovering the mediating roles of perceived desirability and social entrepreneurial self-efficacy on this relationship. Throughout adopting measures from some previous studies, the authors design the questionnaires and distribute to students in Vietnam. The study presents some demographic information of 289 students, who are studying at university and colleges in Vietnam. Then, the validity and reliability of scales are assessed using the value of Cronbach's alpha, Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). In addition, by utilizing the structural modeling structure (SEM), the authors show that social capital plays the important role in shaping social entrepreneurial self-efficacy, perceived desirability, and social entrepreneurial intention. Interestingly, besides the direct effects on social entrepreneurial intention, perceived desirability and social entrepreneurial self-efficacy also mediate the correlation between social capital and social entrepreneurial intention. Also, with the interesting findings of the study, the authors propose several recommendations for policy-makers, educators and academics to promote the social entrepreneurship and innovation among Vietnamese students.

In the context of the evolution of automation and intelligence, deep learning and machine learning algorithms have been widely applied in aquaculture in recent years, providing new opportunities for the digital realization of aquaculture. Especially, water quality management deserves attention thanks to its importance to food organisms. In this study, we proposed an end-to-end deep learning-based TabNet model for water quality prediction. From major indexes of water quality assessment, we applied novel deep learning techniques and machine learning algorithms in innovative fish aquaculture to predict the number of water cells counting. Furthermore, the application of deep learning in aquaculture is outlined, and the obtained results are analyzed. The experiment on in-house data showed an optimistic impact on the application of artificial intelligence in aquaculture, helping to reduce costs and time and increase efficiency in the farming process.
