Effects of Sb doping on the structure and properties of SnO2 films

Transparent heat-insulating SnO2 films were prepared on the glass substrate with sol-gel. The effects of Sb doping on the structure and photoelectric properties of the films were investigated. The films were characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM), X-ray diffractometer (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), Ultraviolet–Visible-Near Infrared Spectrometer (UV-VIS-NIR) and Hall Effect tester. The results show that the doping of Sb did not change the basic crystal structure of the SnO2 film, but reduced the crystallinity of the film. With the increase of Sb doping, the grain size decreases first and then maintains basically invariable. The sheet resistance of the film decreases first and then increases. The transmittance of the substrate glass coated with this film (hereinafter referred to as the film's transmittance) in the near-infrared region (780–2500 nm) decreases from 92.55% to 60.48%, and increases a little when the doping amount exceeded 11 mol%. And its transmittance of visible light (380–780 nm) fluctuated slightly between about 81% and 86%.

Objective: The present study aimed to investigate whether the long-lasting, recurrent restricting of sows leads to the physiological and psychological reaction of discomfort. Methods: Sows (Large White) that had experienced restricting for about 0.5 or 3 years and agematched sows kept in a group housing system (loose sows) were compared. Pupillary light reflex parameters were measured at the weaning stage. Immediately after slaughter, blood samples were taken to measure serum cortisol levels, and the brain was dissected, gene expression in the hippo-campus, frontal cortex and hypothalamus was analyzed. Results: The serum cortisol levels were higher in the confined sows than in the loose sows. The full maturity, but not the young adolescent, confined sows had longer latency time in the onset of pupil constriction than their loose counterparts. Real-time polymerase chain reaction analyses revealed an increased expression of interleukin 6 mRNA in the hippocampus and decreased expression of brain derived neurotrophic factor mRNA in hippocampus and hypothalamus and to a lesser extent in the frontal cortex of the full maturity confined sows, compared with the full maturity loose sows. Conclusion: Taken together, these data indicated that recurrent restricting stress in full maturity sows leads to the physiological and psychological reaction of discomfort.

Ulcerative colitis (UC) is an inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) that is currently difficult to treat effectively. Both Bacillus natto (BN) and ginseng-soluble dietary fiber (GSDF) are anti-inflammatory and helps sustain the intestinal barrier. In this study, the protective effects and mechanism of the combination of B. natto JLCC513 and ginseng-soluble dietary fiber (BG) in DSS-induced UC mice were investigated. Intervention with BG worked better than taking BN or GSDF separately, as evidenced by improved disease activity index, colon length, and colon injury and significantly reduced the levels of oxidative and inflammatory factors (LPS, ILs, and TNF-α) in UC mice. Further mechanistic study revealed that BG protected the intestinal barrier integrity by maintaining the tight junction proteins (Occludin and Claudin1) and inhibited the LPS/TLR4/NF-κB pathway in UC mice. In addition, BG increased the abundance of beneficial bacteria such as Bacteroides and Turicibacter and reduced the abundance of harmful bacteria such as Allobaculum in the gut microbiota of UC mice. BG also significantly upregulated genes related to linoleic acid metabolism in the gut microbiota. These BGinduced changes in the gut microbiota of mice with UC were significantly correlated with changes in pathological indices. In conclusion, this study demonstrated that BG exerts protective effect against UC by regulating the LPS/TLR4/NF-κB pathway and the structure and metabolic function of gut microbiota. Thus, BG can be potentially used in intestinal health foods to treat UC.

Androgen receptor (AR) plays a pivotal role as atarget for amplification/mutation in pathogenesis and tumorprogression in prostate, and thus, controlling AR activityor expression might be a feasible therapeutic approach forthe treatment of prostate cancer. Here, we report the novelmechanisms by which 18β-glycyrrhetinic acid (GA) targetsAR to stimulate cell death in both hormone-responsive and-refractory prostate cancer cells. We found that miR-488, atumor suppressive microRNA, was markedly induced by GAtreatment, resulting in the down-regulation of AR expressionand inhibition of cellular responses mediated by androgens. Moreover, GA not only suppressed the expression of androgentarget genes (TMPRSS2, PSA, and NKX3.1), but alsoenhanced the suppressive effect of anti-androgens (bicalutamideand flutamide) on LNCaP cell growth. Our data furtherprovides evidence that down-regulation of AR expression byGA may occur through transcriptional suppression at AR promoter region between − 1014 and − 829. Ectopic expressionof SFR and E2F3α reversed the inhibitory effect of GAon AR promoter activity as well as protein expression, suggestingthat GA may target transcription factors SRF andE2F3α to regulate AR expression. Taken together, our studyprovides new insights on AR regulation and GA as a potentialtherapeutic candidate for human prostate cancer.

A method for detecting foreign substances in mould based on scatter grams was presented to protect moulds automatically during moulding production. This paper proposes a wavelet transform foreign detection method based on Monte Carlo analysis mechanism to identify foreign objects in the tube. We use the Monte Carlo method to evaluate the image, and obtain the width of the confidence interval by the deviation statistical gray histogram to divide the image type. In order to stabilize the performance of the algorithm, the high-frequency image and the low-frequency image are respectively drawn. By analyzing the position distribution of the pixel gray in the two images, the suspected foreign object region is obtained. The experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach by evaluating the labeled data.

보행자 관련 안전사고를 예방하고자 세계 각국에서는 NCAP제도를 활용하여 신차의 안전도를 평가하고있다. HIC는 교통약자(VRU)가 차량과 충돌하였을 때 받는 머리상해치를 의미한다. 기존 HIC예측을 위해선 후드상의 타격포인트에 대한 반복실험, 혹은 담당자의 경험적 판단 하에 성능인자를 추출하여 해석기법을 통해 예측하였다. 그러나 위와 같은 방법은 구조 변경마다 실험에 반복되는 공수소요가 발생하며, 경험적 판단에 의존함으로 객관성이 결여된다. 이에 본 연구에서는 인공지능 기법 중 딥 러닝의 CNN과 차량 설계도면, 그리고 충격 량 실험 값을 학습하여 딥 러닝을 이용한 HIC와 HIC 등급을 예측하며, Error rate, Top1-Acc등의 평가지표를 활용하여 성능을 검증한다.

A magnetic field-driven photocurable superhydrophobic fabric coating technology was developed in this study. The coating, consisting of photoreactive carbonyl iron powder (CIP) assembled hydrophobic micro-nano structures, was constructed on the surface of polyester fabric by combining the magnetic field-driven assembly technology and blue light photocuring technology. Camphorquinone (CQ), ethyl 4-dimethylaminobenzoate (EDB) and diphenyliodonium hexafluorophosphate (DPI) were served as the photoinitiator formulation, while polyurethane diacrylate and hydroxyethyl acrylate (HEA) were used as the polymerization-cross-linking matrix for photocurable coating. Photo-differential scanning calorimetry (Photo-DSC) and rheometry were used to characterize the performance of coating formulations. Optical contact angle meter and scanning electron microscope (SEM) were used in combination with tensile performance test to explore the construction of superhydrophobic structure on coating surface induced by magnetic field. The optimal formulation of photoinitiators for coatings with excellent photopolymerization performance has been definitively established. Photocured coating film displayed a distinct hydrophobicity (the water contact angle is approx. 152.7°, and the sliding angle is approx. 7.2°) when the mass ratio of CIP to polymeric components was 1:1. The coated fabric eventually exhibited a satisfactory hydrophobicity (the water contact angle is approx. 153.3°) and mechanical properties.
Intracellular formyl peptide receptor regulates naïve CD4 T cell migration

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>We found that formyl peptide receptor (FPR) 1 and FPR3 were expressed intracellularly and/or the nucleus of naïve CD4 T cell. Activation of naïve CD4 T cells with synthetic intracellular agonists dTAT-WKYMVm and CTP-WKYMVm for FPR members stimulated CD4 T cell migration via pertussis toxin-sensitive manner. Knockdown of FPR1, but not knockdown of FPR3, blocked dTAT-WKYMVm-induced naïve CD4 T cell migration. Stimulation of naïve CD4 T cells with dTAT-WKYMVm elicited the activation of ERK, p38 MAPK, and Akt. Activation of CD4 T cells with anti-CD3 and anti-CD28 antibodies caused surface expression of FPR1 and FPR3, but not FPR2. CD4 T cells isolated from sepsis patients expressed the three members of FPR family on their cell surface. Taken together, our results suggest that intracellular FPR in naïve CD4 T cells and surface FPRs in activated CD4 T cells might regulate immune responses by regulating CD4 T cell activity.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Human naïve CD4 T cells express intracellular FPRs. </LI> <LI> Stimulation of intracellular FPR1 elicits naïve CD4 T cell migration. </LI> <LI> Intracellular FPR1 agonist dTAT-WKYMVm stimulates MAPK and Akt activation. </LI> <LI> Activated CD4 T cells express surface FPRs. </LI> <LI> The finding suggests a novel insight on intracellular FPRs in CD4 T cells. </LI> </UL> </P>
