        人口政策에 따른 諸課題

        There are two main problems in formulating population policies. First, is it reasonable to formulate population policy in isolation from other social and economic policies? It is the personal belief of Mr. S. Park that a population policy should be regarded as a part of other social and economic policies. Second, there appears to be no clearly formulated long range objectives in conducting the current population redistribution policy; 1) Community development program should be based on the recognition of the special characteristics of the area. And the re-location program for industries should be strongly supported with special tax and loan consideration. 2) The policy aimed at the dispersion of population should be conducted with the program of providing an equal educational opportunity regardless of geographical location, and family planning. Discussants: Koh, Kap Suk and Chang, Man-Ki. 1. Urbanization may be considered as an inevitable result of industrialization. In order to regulate effectively the population movements into urban centers, there should be a clearly formulated population policy in co-ordination with other social and economic policies. 2. Let us assume that Korea will achieve the zero population growth rate by the year 2,000. The fact that currently there are no long range "visional" proposals to deal with the population composition and distributional problems indicates that there has been no comprehensive research about population planning. 3. The optimal population size for Korea should not be thought of in terms of a static concept but a dynamic concept which is related to manpower supply and housing problems. 4. The problem of aging should not be looked at solely as an economic issue. Instead, it should be examined from a humanistic point of view where high priority is placed on restoring human dignity for the older citizens. Response of Mr. Park: 1. There is a tendency to over-emphasize the economic side of population issues. It should be pointed out that a man not only provides labor which is an input for the production of economic goods, but also he is a consumer for whose welfare economic goods are produced in the first place. It should be remembered that economic growth has beneficial impacts on the population but it also has harmful effects. 2. In order to make the government officials aware of population issues, it has been proposed to the Population Policy Evaluation Committee that the courses in population studies be included in the study program for the re-education of government employees. 3. Issues involved in population dispersion: Urbanization is an inevitable process of economic development. Problems arising from urbanization should be solved not by forcefully preventing the migration of population from rural areas to urban centers but by reducing the rural-urban gap in the living conditions. This policy has already been implemented to some extent as indicated by the government's policy of decentralization of industries and Saemaul Movement. In summary, the basic policy of government is to slow down the rural-urban migration by providing incentives to stay in farms in the rural area rather than by the strong-handed method of preventing the internal migration.

      • 우수 사과酒酵母의 分離와 利用에 關한 硏究

        Extensive selection works on wild yeasts of fruits were carried cut to obtain strains which are applicable to apple wine making. Among the total number of 1,358 yeast strains which were isolated from various fruit samples collected from the vicinity of Daejeon and other regions of Korea, the strains SH-49, SH-129 and SH-338 were found to be useful. Then experiments on their morphological and physiological characteristics, and on the aspects of practical use in apple wine making were proceeded. The results obtained were as follows: 1. The strains SH-49 and SH-129, particularly SH-49, were appeared to have good fermentation ability, tolerance to sulfur dioxide and to produce fine quality of apple wine. 2. Apple wines made by using the strain, SH-49 and SH-129 contained less amount of total acids than those by other strains. 3. Apple wines of SH-49 and SH-129 were clarified rapidly during the primary fermentation period, and their absorbancy at 430 nm after 45 days of storage were approximately half of others. 4. Apple wine of SH-338 contained higher amount of residual sugar and its quality was superior to others. It is considered that this strain could be used in the production of apple wine of a characteristic quality. 5. The strains SH-49 and SH-338 were identified as a Saccharomyces cerevisiae according to Taxanomic Study of Yeasts by Lodder, however, classification of SH-129 was suspended for further study.

      • 개구리에서 산-염기 평형의 계절적 변동에 관한 연구

        The influence of environmental temperature on the acid base balance of frog(Rana Temporaria Chosenica) blood was investigated at 25℃ all the year round. pH of blood was measured by means of Artrup method and Sigaard- Anderson's nomogram using pH meter(Corning) and tonometer. Buffer value, actual bicarbonate concentration and OH^-/H^+ ratio were calculatedd by the measure buffer line, pH and CO2 gas tension which was used(low CO_2 was 4-5% and high C0_2 was 8-9% balanced with 0_2). Results obtained are as follows: 1. Buffer line was shift to the upper and-right side during winter season and the differences was statistically significant. 2. Buffer value was higher during winter season than summer value and the difference was significan (p<0.001). 3. The actual blood pH was 7.42±0.01 in September and 7.78±0.03 in January. Generally the pH was higher during winter season than that of summer. The difference between two seasons was statistically significant(p<0.05). 4. The blood PCO_2 value has a seasonal changes with low PC0_2 during winter season and the differences were statistically significant. 5. The plasma bicarbonate concentration was 17.00±1.07mM/L in September and the value were decreased with cold weather of 12.33±1.29mM/L in January. Seasonal changes were significantly different(p<0.05). It is concluded from this findings that the acid-base changes of blood in frog were related to the temperature of living habitat and the corresponding changes in the tissue energy store and buffers.

      • 정신지체 학생에게 적용된 사회인지 재활프로그램의 성과와 한계

        많은 정신지체 학생들이 일정기간의 교육을 받은 후에도 사회의 구성원으로 통합되어 지역주민들과 상호작용 하며 그 역할을 다하며 살아가는 것에 어려움을 겪고 있다. 이는 사회인지 기능에 따른 문제점이라 생각되어졌다. 이에 권정혜(2003)가 개발하고 Choi와 Kwon(2006)이 그 효과를 검증한 사회인지 재활 프로그램을 특수학교에 재학중인 정신지체 학생들에게 적용하여 사회인지 능력의 향상정도&#8228;사회기술의 향상 정도를 알아보고자 하였다. 본 연구는 상주시에 있는 S정신지체 특수학교 고등학생·전공과 학생을 대상으로 대상자들의 생활연령과 사회적 요구에 맞게 일부 수정된 사회인지 재활프로그램을 16회기에 걸쳐 실시하였고, 연구 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사회인지 재활프로그램은 정신지체 학생들의 사회인지 능력 향상에 있어서 유의미한 결과를 가져오지 못했다. 둘째, 사회인지 재활프로그램은 정신지체 학생들의 사회기술 능력 향상에 있어서 대인관계기능평가에서는 유의미한 결과가 나타났으나, 사회생활기술척도에서는 유의미한 결과가 나타나지 않았다. 이는 사회인지 능력이나 사회기술이 단기간에 향상되는 것이 아니라는 것을 보여주며, 학교와 가정이 연계된 교육적인 접근이 필요함을 시사한다. A number of mentally retarded students have a great difficulty interacting with members of the community and performing their roles as an adult. It is estimated that this is not because of the mental retardation but because of the problem with social cognition function they have. Accordingly, the degree of improvement in social cognition ability and social skill was investigated, by applying Social Cognition Enhancing Rehabilitation Program- developed by Kwon Jeong-Hye(2003) and approved by Choi and Kwon(2006) - to the mentally retarded students in a special school. The purpose of this study is to prove the effect of Social Cognition Enhancing Rehabilitation Program on the improvement of social cognition ability and social skill for the mentally retarded students. The specific purposes are as follows. First, does Social Cognition Enhancing Rehabilitation Program improve the mentally retarded students' social cognition ability? Second, does Social Cognition Enhancing Rehabilitation Program improve the mentally retarded students' social skill? In this study, Social Cognition Enhancing Rehabilitation Program reorganized by chronological age and social needs was conducted 16 times among the students in mental retardation special school in Sang-ju. The results were as follows. First, Social Cognition Enhancing Rehabilitation Program has no meaningful effects on the improvement of the mentally retarded students' social cognition ability. Second, Social Cognition Enhancing Rehabilitation Program has interactive effects by groups on the improvement of the mentally retarded students' social skill in terms of personal relationship skill evaluation. However, there are no significant interactive effects by groups in terms of social life skill scale. This indicates that social cognition ability and social skill cannot improve in a short period and that there is a need for educational approach connected with home and school.

      • 한글ㆍ영문 겸용 Word Processor System 개발에 관한 연구

        The design theory and implementation of a word processor system with more efficient processing of Korean and English text are studied. A screen editing method is implemented which is more flexible to handle the texts. Convinient control of the keyboards, cursors moving, texts editing, line marking and block operations are considered. The codes to avoid the complexity and inefficiency which are caused by difference of the code length between the Korean and English characters are reconstructed. File management systems and algorithms for executing the control commands are also studied. As a result, a successful word processor system is designed and implemental which performs a complete screen editing system. The performance of the system includes flexible cursor movement, margin setting, block operations of insertion, deletion and copying any sizes of the line and blocks; and also, the printout routines for size variation of the characters are worked out.

      • TiO₂를 이용한 아세틸렌, 프로필렌, 프로판 가스의 광촉매 산화반응

        Photocatalyzed degradation of acetylene, propylene, and propane gases were carried out over precoated titanium dioxide(anatase) illuminated UV light in a flow reactor. photocatalytic oxidation of acetylene, propylene, and propane gases respectively indicated high conversion rates (78.0%) to CO₂gas. And photocatalytic oxidation of three gases according to a fold, twofold, and threefold of titanium dioxide(anatase) respectively gave high conversion rate. The longer reaction time was, the higher conversion rate to CO₂gas showed.

      • Priming 처리종자의 저장기간에 따른 발아력 전당함량 및 α-amylase 활력

        벼 종자의 priming처리 후 저장성을 검토하기 위하여 저장기간과 저장온도에 따라서 종자의 발아력과 저장양분 및 발아에 관여하는 주요 효소활력의 변화를 조사한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. Priming한 종자를 6개월간 저장하여도 어느 저장온도에서나 발아율의 차이가 없었다. 2. Priming한 종자에서 발아속도(T_50)가 2∼3일 빨랐으며 3개월 동안은 변화가 없었고 3개월 이후 발아속도가 약간 감소하였으나 priming 처리하지 않은 종자에 비해서 빨랐다. 3. 발아균일도는 priming 처리효과가 6개월간 계속 유지되었으며 25℃보다 저온인 17℃에서 효과가 더 크게 나타났다. 4. α-amylase 활력은 저장기간이 길수록 높았고 전당함량의 경우 3개월 이상 저장하였을때 감소하였으나 발아력에는 영향을 미치지 않았다. 5. 종자 수확후 6개월 동안은 어느 시기에 priming 처리하여 저장하여도 발아력 및 종자의 활력은 유지되었다. This experiment was carried out to determine changes of seed germination ability, total sugar, and α-amylase activity to different storage period, and temperature after seed priming treatment. In the storage during the six months, final germination rate and speed were similar to the untreated control seeds and the uniformity was continuously preserved. Germination speed(T_50) was faster than the control seeds by 2∼3 days. T_50 was a little decreased to priming effect after three months but faster than the control seeds. In the case of germination temperature 25℃, germination uniformity was decreased to long term storage periods. Total sugar content was increased to compare with the control seed during the one months at -10, 5 and 20℃ and total sugar content was decreased after two months. α-amylase activity was increased to storage of long term period and seed of storage temperature 5℃ was increased compared with -10 and 20℃. Germination ability and α-amylase activity was preserved continuously during six months after priming treatment.

        Primary candidate for pancreas transplantation is patients with type Ⅰ diabetes mellitus of juvenile oneset. At present the patients selected for transplantation often have end stage renal disease, far advanced vascular disease and diabetic neuropathy. In these days, the survival of pancreas transplantation for treatments of patients with type Ⅰ diabetes mellitus has been improved especially in simultaneous pancreas and kidney transplantation. Various innovations in immunosuppression, management of the pancreatic ductal exocrine secretion, recipient selection and HLA matching have been contributed to achieve a reasonable outcome in pancreas transplantation compared with other organ transplantation. Current improved graft survival has stimulated many centers in the world to start pancreas transplantation program. Recently we successfully performed the first case of simultaneous pancreas and kidney transplantation in Korea. After 5 cases of pancreas transplantation in our department in type Ⅰ DM, we think that it is the time to review the pancreas transplantation to give an insight of this new field to our colleagues.
