Sesquiterpene Components from the Flower Buds of Magnolia fargesii

From the Chinese crude drug shin-i, the flower buds of Magnolia fargesii, four sesquiterpene, oplopanoe (1), oplodiol (2), homalomenol A (3) and $1{\beta},4{\beta},7{\alpha}$-trihydroxyeudesmane (4) were isolated. These structures were elucidated and the ${13}^C-NMR$ chemical shifts of these compounds were revised by means of various 2D-NMR techniques.

한국판 성인용 자기 보고형 및 관찰자 보고형 Young ADHD 척도의 신뢰도 및 타당도 연구

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to assess the psychometric properties and to investigate factor structure of the Korean version of the Young ADHD Questionnaire-Self-Report (K-YAQ-S) and the Young ADHD Questionnaire-Informant-Report(K-YAQ-I). Methods : 269 normal college students completed the K-YAQ-S and the Lee Ji-Yeon's adult ADHD scale (1996). 213 in-formants of the subjects completed the K-YAQ-I. Results : The K-YAQ-S and the K-YAQ-I had good internal consistency (Cronbach's =.957, .965). An ADHD symptomatology and emotional problem subscales of the K-YAQ-S showed strong correlation with the Lee Ji-Yeon's adult ADHD scale. The delinquency and social functioning subscales of the K-YAQ-S and all subscales of the K-YAQ-I correlated significantly but were relatively lower. An exploratory factor analysis showed that the K-YAQ-S revealed 4 factors (ADHD symptomatology, emotional problems, delinquency, social functioning) and the K-YAQ-I being composed of 3 factors (ADHD symptomatology/aggressive behavior, emotional problem/social functioning, illegal act). Conclusion : These results suggest that the K-YAQ-S and the K-YAQ-I rating scale is a reliable and a valid test. These scales would be useful in diagnostic evaluation and in measuring the treatment effect for ADHD adult.

이성대상포진의 증상에 따른 안면신경마비의 정도와 예후

연구목적: 이성대상포진에 동반되는 안면신경마비는 Bell's palsy와는 달리 예후가 더 나쁘고 그 마비가 완전히 회복되지 않는 경우가 더 많다.본 연구에서는 이성대상포진에서 발현되는 증상들의 유무가 치료 전 안면신경마비의 정도 및 치료 후 예후와 상관관계가 있는지를 관찰하여 예후의 예측인자에 대해 분석하였다. 재료 및 방법: 지난 1992년 1월부터 1999년 6월까지 이성대상포진으로 진단받고 본원에 입원하여 고용량 부신피질호르몬제와 항바이러스제인 acyclovir의 병합투여로 동일한 치료를 받은 30명의 환자를 대상으로 후향적으로 의무기록을 분석 및 고찰하였으며, 치료 전 안면마비의 정도와 치료 후 마비의 회복 정도를 이통, 이명, 난청, 현훈 등의 증상의 유무와 치료 시작 시기, 그리고 안면신경의 electroneuronography(ENoG) 값에 따라 비교하였다. 결과: 이성대상포진수포가 안면신경마비 보다 먼저 발현된 경우에 안면신경마비의 치료 전 grade가 통계적으로 유의하게 좋았다(p<0.05).이통, 청력손실, 그리고 현훈의 유무에 따른 안면신경마비의 정도는 상관관계가 없었고 예후에도 차이가 없었다.이명의 유무에 따른 치료 전 안면신경마비의 정도는 상관관계가 없었으나 치료 후 완전회복율은 이명이 있었던 군에서 통계적으로 유의하게 높았다(p=0.003<0.05).완전회복군과 불완전회복군 사이의 치료 전 ENoG의 수치는 통계적으로 유의하게 예후와 상관이 있었다(p=0.037<0.05). 결론: 좀더 많은 수의 환자를 연구에 포함하여 증상에 따른 예후의 차이를 연구하는 것이 필 요하며 또한 ENoG 값이 10%에서 40% 사이인 환자들의 치료 방법에 대한 고려와 이성대상포진수포가 안면신경마비보다 먼저 생긴 환자에서 치료 전 마비정도가 경미했던 이유에 대한 연구가 필요할 것으로 생각된다. Purpose: Herpes zoster oticus generally has a poor prognosis, leaving many patients with permanent facial nerve dysfunction, compare to Bell's palsy.Acyclovir and prednisolone have been widely used for the treatment of herpes zoster oticus.This retrospective study was conducted to suggest the prognostic factors according to various symptoms. Materials and Methods : Clinical studies were retrospectively performed on 30 patients with herpes zoster oticus who were treated with acyclovir and prednisolone in the Chungbuk National University Hospital between 1991 and 1999.The authors analyze the pre-treatment grade and prognosis of facial nerve palsy according to symptoms(the existence of otalgia, tinnitus, hearing loss, and vertigo), the treatment onset, and electroneuronography ( ENoG ). Results : Of thirty patients who have been diagnosed as herpes zoster oticus, there is no significant difference in the pre-treatment grade of facial nerve palsy according to the existence of vesicle, otalgia, tinnitus, vertigo, and hearing loss.Of 25 patients who have facial nerve palsy, the recovery from the palsy is complete in 14 patients(56%).There is no significant difference in the pre-treatment grade of facial nerve palsy according to the existence of otalgia, tinnitus, vertigo, and hearing loss.The pre-treatment grade of facial palsy is better when the vesicles precede facial in the group with tinnitus than without tinnitus.A significant difference of the prognosis according to the onset of treatment and other symptoms are not found.ENoG is better in the group that facial nerve palsy is completely recovered than incomplete recovery group. Conclusion : Reliable prognostic factor according to symptoms is not found, ENoG is the only prognostic factor.

The pharmaceutical effects of Korean traditional foods made in 「Eumsikdimibang」were studied. Eumsikdimibang is a respresentative ancient book of cooking, which was published in 1653 by Mme, Jang. The type of food in Eumsikdimibang were Guksu(wheat vermicelli as like western noodles), Mandu(bun stuffed with seasoned meat and vegetables), Guk(soup), J'IM(steam meat or fish). Chae, Noorumi, Hyae(sliced raw fish), Jockpyun(jellied beef soup), Jockgall(salted seafood), Kimchi, Juk(skewer or broach), Jhee. Sun(steaming of stuffed vegetable), Bockuem, Jeon(pan fried fish). Gui(meat or fish grilled with seasoning), Dock(Korean rice cake), Jabgwa, Beverage and Junggwa. Each Korean foods has a phamarceutical action: enhancement of physical activity, thirst elimination, detoxication and treatment disease.

도시근린공원의 이미지와 이용만족도에 관한 연구

This paper presents the future direction of the development and maintenance of the urban park of the Kumi city. The direction was obtained by analyzing the evaluation results on the satisfaction level of park use and the park image of the park users. The analysis results are as follows. 1) It turns out that the rest and accommodation facilities are the major facilities that uplifts the total image of the park. 2) Among the park images, the image on the pleasantness was the major image, related with the satisfaction on the park equipments. 3) The social class, who gave a bad score on the above equipments and images, is a low-aged class, who is a white class with high income as well. Therefore, it is suggested that the park maintenance plan, with emphasis on the class, is an important task.

시클로펜틸아렌술포네이트 및 시클로헥실아렌술포네이트와 아닐린과의 친핵성치환반응

The nucleophilic substitution reactions of cyclopentylarenesulfonates and cyclohexylarenesulfonates with anilines in acetonitrile at 65.0℃ are investigated. The cross-interaction constants ρxz(and βxz) between substitue-nts in the nucleophile(X) and leaving group(Z) are positive and have relatively small mmagnitude. The transition state(TS) variation is consistent with that predicted by the More O'Ferrall-Jencks diagram as expected from the positive ρxz. The small magnitude of ρxz correctly refrects a relatively loose TS structure in contrast to the tight TS for primary alkyl derivatives under similar reaction conditions.

NMOS 소자의 Ta-Ti 게이트 전극 특성

본 논문에서는 오래 전부터 NMOS의 게이트 전극으로 사용된 폴리실리콘을 대체할 수 있는 Ta-Ti 합금의 특성에 대해 연구하였다. 실리콘 기판 위에 열적으로 성장된 SiO₂위에 Ta과 Ti의 두 타깃을 사용하여 co-sputterring 방법으로 Ta-Ti 합금을 증착하였다. 각각의 타킷의 100W 의 sputtering power 로 증착하여 시편을 제작하였다. 또한 비교 분석을 위하여 Ta를 100W의 sputtering power로 증착한 시편도 제작하였다. 제작된 Ta-Ti 합금 게이트의 열적/화학적 안정성을 검토하기 위하여 600℃에서 급속열처리를 수행한 결과 소자의 성능 저하는 나타나지 않았다. 또한 전기적 특성 분석 결과 Ta-Ti합금은 NMOS 에 적합한 일합수인 4.13eV를 산출해 낼수 있었고, 면저항 역시 폴리실리콘에 비해 낮은 값을 얻을 수 있었다. In this paper, characteristics of Ta-Ti alloy was studied as a gate electrode for NMOS devices to replace the widely used polysilicon. Ta-Ti alloy was deposited directly on SIO_2 by a co-sputtering method using two of Ta and Ti targets. The sputtering power of each metal target was 100W. To compare with Ta-Ti, Ta deposited with a 100W sputtering power was fabricated as well. In order to investigate the thermal/chemical stability of the Ta-Ti alloy gate, the alloy was annealed at 600℃ with rapid thermal annealer. No appreciable degradation of the device was observed. Also the results of electircal analysis showed that the work function of Ta-Ti metal alloy was about 4.1eV which was suitable for NMOS devices and sheet resistance of alloy was lower than that of polysilicon.

뇌종양 환자의 제왕절개술을 위한 전신마취 : 증례 보고 A case report

A 28-year-old primigravida at 33 weeks gestation was referred to our hospital because of aggravation of seizures which occurred intermittently for the past 2 years. A brain magnetic resonance imaging scan taken at 33 weeks gestation showed a large brain tumor (7 × 5 × 4 cm) in the left high frontal lobe. She had a cesarean section under general anesthesia at 38 weeks and 1 day gestation. General anesthesia was induced with thiopental 250 mg, succinyleholine 75 mg and lidocaine 60 mg after a vecuronium 0.8 mg intravenous injection. The hyperventilation and mannitol used to reduce increased intracranial pressure (ICP) in this patient may be harmful and detrimental to the fetus before delivery. Achieving both ICP control and fetal well being at the same time during a cesarean section can be challenging to anesthesiologists. We report the anesthetic management of a cesarean section in a patient with a large brain tumor. (Korean J Anesthesiol 2002; 43: 515~519)
