<P> Compared with the <I>in vivo</I> environment, porcine <I>in vitro</I> embryo-culture systems are suboptimal, as they induce oxidative stress via the accumulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS). High ROS levels during early embryonic development cause negative effects, such as apoptosis. In this study, we examined the effects of the antioxidant carboxyethylgermanium sesquioxide (Ge-132) during <I>in vitro</I> culture (IVC) on embryonic development in porcine <I>in vitro</I> fertilization (IVF) embryos. Zygotes were treated with different concentrations of Ge-132 (0, 100, 200 and 400 μg/ml). All of the Ge-132 treatment groups displayed greater total cell numbers after IVC (98.1, 98.5 and 103.4, respectively) compared with the control group (73.9). The 200 μg/ml Ge-132 treatment group exhibited significantly increased intracellular GSH levels compared with the control group, whereas the ROS generation levels decreased in Ge-132 dose-dependent manner (P < 0.05). The mRNA expression levels of the <I>KEAP1</I> gene and proapoptotic genes <I>BAX</I> and <I>CASPASE3</I> were lower in the Ge-132 treated blastocysts compared with the control group (P < 0.05). The percentages of apoptotic and necrotic cells in the Ge-132 treated embryos on day 2 (48 h) were significantly lower than the untreated embryos (9.1 <I>vs</I>. 17.1% and 0 <I>vs</I>. 2.7%, respectively). In the day 7 blastocysts, the percentages of apoptotic cells in 200 µg/ml Ge-132 treated group were lower compared to controls (1.6 <I>vs</I>. 2.5%). More KEAP1 protein was found to be localized in cytoplasm of the 200 μg/ml Ge-132 treated blastocysts, whereas KEAP1 protein was predominantly nuclei in the control blastocysts. These results indicate that the developmental competence of embryos cultured under Ge-132 treatment may be associated with KEAP1 signaling cascades involved in oxidative stress and apoptosis during porcine preimplantation embryo development.</P>
Design and Fabrication of Dual-BPF Using LTCC for WLAN Applications

In this paper, a compact dimension Dual-BPF for wireless-LAN applications (IEEE 802.11 a/b/g) is realized by LTCC technology. The fabricated dual-BPF is composed of 8 layers and its size is 4.0mm × 3.5mm × 0.63mm. It has the characteristics that each center frequency of the Dual-BPF was measured as 2.45 ㎓ and 5.5㎓, respectively and also the bandwidth as 200㎒ and 700㎒. 2㎓ BPF had the passband insertion loss of less than 1.3㏈, the return loss of more than 21㏈, and the isolation level of more than 35㏈ by locating attenuation pole at 5.5㎓. 5㎓ BPF had the passband insertion loss of less than 1.8㏈, the return loss of more than 15㏈, and the isolation level of more than 40㏈ by locating attenuation pole at 2.45㎓.
A STUDY ON MEASUREMENT FOR LARGE SIZE OBJECTS WITH A NON-CONTACT TYPE CMM

Recently, efficient manufacturing of high precision is an important issue in modern industry as more variety of industrial products is being designed with compound surfaces. Rapid CAD data generation can be possible based on a non-contact type CMM of object through the use of reverse engineering. However, some registration to match the data measured from various directions into a common coordinate system is required. Also, the error can happen if it uses the conventional method to large product of thin thickness. So it is necessary to develop a new method, which was designed for the registration of large and thin products. Additionally, an algorithm to pick up coordinates for the newly designed method was proposed.

본 연구에서는 영상의 잡음 제거에 우수한 평균화 필터 알고리즘을 SIMD(Single Instruction Multiple Data) 명령어를 이용하여 고속화 하였다. 먼저 순차 알고리즘의 속도 향상을 위한 최적화를 수행하고. SIMD에 적합 하도록 변환 하여 4 또는 16 개의 데이터를 동시에 연산이 가능 하도록 하였다. 또한 나누기 연산을 줄이기 위하여 8비트의 데이터 타입과 함께 룩업 테이블(Lookup Table)을 이용하였다. 각각의 데이터 타임에 적합하게 알고리즘을 변환하여 비교하였고 실험을 통하여 기존의 순차 처리 방식에 비해 평균적으로 2.5배 이상의 속도 향상을 보았다.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate the independent factors associated with the registration rate for the community-based post suicidal care program in the emergency department (ED). Methods: This prospective observational study was conducted between March and December 2013 at the academic ED at the tertiary urban hospital. During the study period, the pre-designed registry was recorded. The variables examined included the following: patients’ demographic data (Sex, age, address, type of insurance, marital status, level of education, and history of previous psychiatric disease), suicide-related data (suicidal methods, combined drink of alcohol and number of previous attempts), and management-related data (disposition at ED, physician’s training level, etc.). Univariated and multivariated logistic regression analyses were performed for identification of factors affecting the registration rate for the community-based post suicidal care program. Results: A total of 163 suicides were included during the study period. Of these, 33 (20.2%) patients were registered in the post-suicide care program. Factors including a patient’s address (OR: 14.92, 95% CI: 3.606-61.711), immediate intervention by psychiatric healthcare center (OR: 5.05, CI: 1.688-15.134), admissions in hospital (OR: 3.69, CI: 1.286-10.605), and history of previous psychiatric disease (OR: 3.52, CI: 1.216-10.201) showed significant association with registration for the program. Conclusion: The community-based post-suicidal care program, which is available 24 hours a day, should be operated in each district in order to increase the registration rate. Emergency physicians should actively consider the inpatient treatment program for suicidal patients and strongly recommend registration to the program, particularly for patients without previous history of psychiatric disease.
A SCORM-based e-Learning Process Control Model and Its Modeling System

In this paper, we propose an e-Learning process control model that aims to graphically describe and automatically generate the manifest of sequencing prerequisites in packaging SCORM`s content aggregation models. In specifying the e-Learning activity sequencing, SCORM<sup>1</sup> provides the concept of sequencing prerequisites to be manifested on each e-Learning activity of the corresponding tree-structured content organization model. However, the course developer is required to completely understand the SCORM`s complicated sequencing prerequisites and other extensions. So, it is necessary to achieve an efficient way of packaging for the e-Learning content organization models. The e-Learning process control model proposed in this paper ought to be an impeccable solution for this problem. Consequently, this paper aims to realize a new concept of process-driven e-Learning content aggregating approach supporting the e-Learning process control model and to implement its e-Learning process modeling system graphically describing and automatically generating the SCORM`s sequencing prerequisites. Eventually, the proposed model becomes a theoretical basis for implementing a SCORM-based e-Learning process management system satisfying the SCORM`s sequencing prerequisite specifications. We strongly believe that the e-Learning process control model and its modeling system achieve convenient packaging in SCORM`s content organization models and in implementing an e-Learning management system as well.
