본 연구는 수학교과의 학습에 방해가 되고 있는 요인을 조사·분석함으로써 학생들의 수학 교과에 대한 부적응 상황을 진단하여 학생들의 수학 부진을 줄이고 나아가 교수-학습 개선에 도움을 주고자 하는데 목적을 둔다. 이를 위해 초등학교 5학년을 대상으로 우선 수학 학습 부진 학생들의 인식을 조사, 분석하였다. 또한 수학 학습 부진아를 지도할 때 학생들이 어려워하는 학습 내용을 사전에 파악하는 것이 학습부진을 줄일 수 있는 중요한 수단으로 보고 4학년 수학 단원 평가를 실시하여 이들이 어떤 내용을 잘 이해하지 못하는지를 분석하였다. 그 결과 수학 학습 부진 학생들은 수학 교과에 대해 부정적으로 생각하고 있었으며, 이들이 어려워하는 수학 내용은 다단계 사고를 요하는 개념, 논리적 연역적으로 추론을 요하는 개념, 문제해결이었다. 그 중에서도 특히 사고를 요하는 문제해결을 어려워하는 것으로 나타났다. This study sets out to investigate underachieved fifth graders in mathematics in terms of the understanding and learning state of mathematics and to help mathematics underachievers by providing make-up class. Thus we need to investigate the following: 1. An understanding of mathematics for underachieved students. 2. A research of the learning contents that the students have difficulties to deal with. For this study we first select 20 underachieved students(12 boys and 8 girls) in mathematics attending an elementary school located in Busan and then a questionnaire is distributed to see their understanding of mathematics. In addition, their performances are evaluated by using a checklist. The questionnaire contains total 30 items and each frequency and percentage are analyzed. The checklist contains 10 items of the contents of 4-Ga and 4-Na respectively. textbooks, The frequency and percentage are also analyzed. We have the following conclusion on mathematics underachievers. First, since they have a negative opinion of the subject, we need to increase the chances of their successful experiences so that they have their confidence and positive attitudes. Second, we should try to teach basic learning contents at the beginning of each unit thoroughly and focus on advanced learning contents gradually by intensifying and reinforcing the contents. Third, it is more desirable to give them suitable assignments they can handle rather than to force to teach advanced contents. An evaluation should be given every time after finishing a unit, and the results should be informed to students. And make-up class should be given if necessary.

Upper gastrointestinal bleeding is common and potentially life threatening medical emergency. Emergency endoscopy is the first choice of diagnostic and treatment measure for patients with active upper gastrointestinal bleeding. Histoacryl should be considered a second-line treatment modality when conventional treatments were failed. However, it might cause several complications. Herein, we report a case of acute pancreatitis developed after histoacryl injection therapy for active duodenal ulcer bleeding. A 71-year-old man was admitted with melena and hematemesis. On emergency endoscopy, a 2 cm sized active ulcer with bleeding from an exposedvessel was seen at the duodenal bulb. Attempts to arrest the bleeding with hemoclipping and submucosal epinephrine injection were tried, but failed. We changed the method to endoscopic histoacryl injection, and obtained hemostasis immediately. A few hourslater, after successful hemostasis, patient complained diffuse abdominal pain. Ultrasonography revealed hyperechoic heterogenous diffuse pancreatic enlargement and right pararenal space fluid collection, this ultrasonographic findings and elevated serum pancreatic enzymes are compatible with acute pancreatitis.
Effect of Di-(2-ethylhexyl)-phthalate on Sphingolipid Metabolic Enzymes in Rat Liver

Di-(2-ethylhexyl)-phthalate (DEHP), the most widely utilized industrial plastizer and a ubiquitous environmental contaminant, can act on peroxisome proliferators-activated nuclear hormone receptor family (PPAR) isoforms. To understand the contribution of sphingolipid metabolism to DEHP-induced hepatotoxicity, effect of DEHP exposure on activities of sphingolipid metabolic enzymes in rat liver was investigated. DEHP (250, 500 or 750 ㎎/㎏) was administered to the rats through oral gavage daily for 28 days. The activities of acidic and alkaline ceramidases were slightly increased in 250 ㎎/㎏ DEHP-administered rat livers and significantly elevated in 500 ㎎/㎏ DEHP-administered ones, although the level of 750 ㎎/㎏ DEHP-administered ones was not increased. Neutral ceramidase, acidic and neutral sphingomyelinases, sphingomyeline synthase and ceramide syhthase were not changed at all by DEHP exposure. Therefore, acidic and alkaline ceramidases might play important roles in DEHP-induced hepatotoxicity.

A quantitative method using ultra performance liquid chromatography with a photodiode array detector (UPLCPDA) was established for the analysis of 2 major plant metabolites: β-asarone and α-asarone from Acorus gramineus, A. tatarinowii, A. calamus and Anemone altaica, and their contents are compared with other herbs of Acorus species. The method was validated according to the International Conference on harmonization (ICH) guideline for validation of analytical procedures with respect to precision, accuracy, and linearity. The average content of β-asarone in Acorus gramineus was significantly higher than that in others, with the second highest concentration observed in A. tatarinowii, and only a trace amounts found in A. calamus and Anemone altaica. In contrast, the average content of α-asarone in A. calamus was the highest, followed by that in Acorus gramineus and A. tatarinowii. principle component analysis (PCA) confirmed that β-asarone and α-asarone content differed among the species. These results suggest that this UPLC-PDA method can be considered as good quality control criteria for Acorus gramineus.

Objectives: A quantitative method using high performance liquid chromatography with a photodiode array detector(HPLC-PDA) was established for the quantitative analysis of the four main compound and pattern analysis to classification Piiellia ternate, P. pedatisecta and Typhonium flagelliforme. Methods: The analytical procedure for the determination of P. ternata, together with the known main compounds uracil, uridine, guanosine and adenosine was established. Optimum HPLC-PDA separation of these P. ternata was possible on Luna C18(2) column material, using water and acetonitrile as mobile phase. The method was validated according to regulatory guidelines. In addition, this assay method were analyzed for the content of four main compound in P. ternata, P. pedatisecta and T. flagelliforme and by data obtained from the HPLC-PDA analysis was performed principal component analysis(PCA). Results: Validation results indicated that the HPLC method is well suited for the determination of the roots of P. ternata with a good linearity (r2> 0.999), precision and recovery rates. Analysis of HPLC-PDA, the average content of uracil, uridine, guanosine and adenosine was significantly higher in P. ternate>P. pedatisecta> T. flagelliforme order. The application of PCA to main compound data by HPLC-PDA permitted the effective discrimination among the three species. Conclusions: Analysis of both HPLC-PDA and PCA confirmed the fact that four main compound and pattern profiles of P. ternata, P. pedatisecta and T. flagelliforme were different from each other.
