        甘豆湯 전탕액과 구성약물이 배양심근세포 박동수에 미치는 영향

        To test the protective effect of herbal medicine on myocardial damage against adriamycin-induced myocardiotoxicity, cytotoxicity of adriamycin was examined using MTT assay and protective effect of herbal medicine in the presence of water extract of Gamdu-tang, Gamigamdu-tang, or single constituents of these prescriptions was examined using counting of beating rate. The results of these experiments were obtained as follows : Adriamycin resulted in a decrease in viability and beating rate in cultured myocardial cells. Gamdu-tang water extract shows effects of protection from the cardiocyte toxicityinduced by adriamycin treatment such as increases beating rate. Gamigamdu-tang water extract shows the similar protective evvect as shown in gamdu-tang treatment on the decreasing of beating rate induced by adriamycin. Radix Glycyrrhizae, Semen Glycine, and Folium Phyllostachyos water extract shows a significant effect of protection for cardiotoxicity induced by adriamycin in cultured myocardial cells. These results show that adriamycin elicits toxic effects in cultured myocardial cells derived from neonatal mouse, and suggest teat water extract of gamdu-tang, gamigamdu-tang, Radix Glycyrrhizae, Semen Glycine, or Folium Phyllostachyos is very effective in the prevention of adriamycin-induced cardiotoxicity/

        Background/Aims: The mortality of hospitalized patients undergoing treatment with an intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) due to cardiogenic shock is well known as quite high. The aim of this study was to evaluate the outcome of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) with an IABP in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) and cardiogenic shock and identify the predictors of in-hospital mortality. Methods: 134 patients who underwent PCI with IABP due to ACS complicated by cardiogenic shock were consecutively enrolled. Outcomes were obtained and analyzed during hospitalization and after 1 year. Results: The incidence of all-cause mortality was 35.8% (in-hospital mortality, 34.3%, 1-year mortality, 1.5%). The nonsurvival group exhibited higher peak levels of creatine kinase MB, lower ejection fractions, and higher incidences of ST elevation myocardial infarction, ventricular arrhythmia, and use of an assistive device than did the survival group. Aging (hazard ratio 2.839, 95% confidence interval 1.408-5.723, p = 0.004), the use of a temporary pacemaker (2.035, 1.114-3.720, 0.021), the use of a mechanical ventilator (4.376, 1.852-10.341, 0.001), and the performance of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) (2.219, 1.017-4.839, 0.045) were independent predictors for in-hospital mortality. However, out-of-hospital mortality among in-hospital survivors was not affected by predictors of in-hospital mortality. Conclusions: The incidence of in-hospital mortality was high, as expected in patients undergoing PCI with IABP due to ACS with cardiogenic shock. Aging, CPR, and additional procedures such as pacemaker use and mechanical ventilation were predictors of in-hospital mortality. However, the patients who were successfully discharged after the complex procedure showed acceptable 1-year outcomes. (Korean J Med 2015,89:186-191)

        Analysis of Random Variations and Variation-Robust Advanced Device Structures

        In the past few decades, CMOS logic technologies and devices have been successfully developed with the steady miniaturization of the feature size. At the sub-30-nm CMOS technology nodes, one of the main hurdles for continuously and successfully scaling down CMOS devices is the parametric failure caused by random variations such as line edge roughness (LER), random dopant fluctuation (RDF), and work-function variation (WFV). The characteristics of each random variation source and its effect on advanced device structures such as multigate and ultra-thin-body devices (vs. conventional planar bulk MOSFET) are discussed in detail. Further, suggested are suppression methods for the LER-, RDF-, and WFV-induced threshold voltage (VTH) variations in advanced CMOS logic technologies including the double-patterning and double-etching (2P2E) technique and in advanced device structures including the fully depleted silicon-on-insulator (FD-SOI) MOSFET and FinFET/tri-gate MOSFET at the sub-30-nm nodes. The segmented-channel MOSFET (SegFET) and junctionless transistor (JLT) that can suppress the random variations and the SegFET-/JLT-based static random access memory (SRAM) cell that enhance the read and write margins at a time, though generally with a trade-off between the read and the write margins, are introduced.

        고전력수용가포털(Consumer Portal)은 소비자의 다양한 장치들과 광역 네트워크, 그리고 에너지서비스사업자 (ESP: 한전 등)의 서비스 애플리케이션 플랫폼을 연결하는 물리적 링크이자 논리적 결합으로, 전력서비스 체계에서 소비자-공급자 간 정보교환과 서비스 거래를 담당하는 양방향 통신의 핵심 인프라로서 포털이다. 전력수용가포털(Consumrr Portal)의 성공적인 설계와 개발을 위해서는 효율성, 경제성, 확장성을 고려한 네트워크 설계가 선행되저야 한다. 그러나 전력수용가 포털의 네트워크 설계에 필요한 네트워크 용량 설계 모델링에 대한 공학적 연구는 아직 부족한 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 전력수용가포털의 네트워크 설계에 필요한 네트워크 용량 설계 모델링 방법을 논하고 실제 구축중인 시스템에 적용하였다. 그 결과 기존 네트워크 설계방법의 문제점을 파악하고, 개선하여 네트워크의 최대수용 단말기의 수를 30~40배 증대시킬 수 있는 데이터 수집 알고리즘을 개발할 수 있게 되었다. Consumer Portal is defined as a combination of hardware and software that enables two-way conmunication between energy service providers(ESP, like KEPCO) and equipment within the consumer's premises. The portal provides both a physical link (between wires, radio waves, and other media) and a logical link (translating among language-like codes and etiquette-like protocols) between in-building and wide-area access networks. Thus, the consumer portal is an important, open public shared infrastructure in the future vision of energy services. In this paper, we describe a new methodology for local communication and computer network capacity design of consumer portal, and also presents capacity calculation method using a network system limitation factors. By the approach, we can check into the limitations of existing methods, and propose an improved data processing algorithm that can expand the maximum number of the networked end-use devices up to 30-40 times. For validation, we applies the proposed methode to our real system design. Our contribution will help electrical power information network design.

In the framework level, the XML protocol provides a useful bridge between services and platforms. The proposed standard protocol has been implemented into our developing consumer portal pilot system. The results imply the potential of global standards for consumer portal system by its minimum overhead in network and processor. The proposed XML is designated psXML in this paper.

        This paper proposes the gait phase classifier using backpropagation neural networks method which uses the angle of lower body’s joints and ground reaction force as input signals. The classification of a gait phase is useful to understand the gait characteristics of pathologic gait and to control the gait rehabilitation systems. The classifier categorizes a gait cycle as 7 phases which are commonly used to classify the sub-phases of the gait in the literature. We verify the efficiency of the proposed method through experiments.

      • Effect of Al–Si coating layer on the penetration and microstructures of ferritic stainless steel, 409L GTA welds

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P><P>In this study, commercial 409L ferritic stainless steels and Al–8wt% Si alloy-coated 409L ferritic stainless steels were subjected to gas tungsten arc welding and the effect of the coated layer on the penetration properties and microstructure were investigated. Full penetration was obtained with a welding current greater than 90A and a welding speed lower than 0.52m/min. At the full penetration condition, the bead width of Al–8wt% Si alloy-coated 409L ferritic stainless steels was narrower than that of commercial 409L ferritic stainless steels. In these samples, a narrow and deep weld pool was considered to have formed under gas tungsten arc welding due to Marangoni convection with existing oxides in the Al–Si coating layer. The grain size of both materials was the largest in the fusion zone and decreased from near the heat-affected zone to the base metal. Especially, the grain size of the heat affected zone and the fusion zone of Al–8wt% Si alloy-coated 409L ferritic stainless steels were small compared to those of commercial 409L ferritic stainless steels. The hardness was maximized in the fusion zone and decreased from the bond line to the base metal. The maximum hardness in the fusion zone was attributed to the re-precipitation of the TiN and Ti(C, N), which were present in the base metal with the finer grain size during the melting and solidification processes. However, the maximum hardness of Al–8wt% Si alloy-coated 409L ferritic stainless steels was relatively high due to the formation of oxides such as Al<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB> and SiO<SUB>2</SUB> that originated from the dissolved elements from the coating layer.</P>

Myocardial toxicity was evaluated in neonatal mouse myocardiocytes in cultures. The results of these experiments were obtained as follows ; Adriamycin resulted in a decrease in viability, increases in LDH activity in cultured myocardial cells. Gamdu-tang water extract shows effects of protection from the cardiocyte toxicity induced by adriamycin treatment such as decreases in lactate dehydrogenase activity. Gamigamdutang water extract shows the similar protective elect as shown in gamdutang treatment on the cardiotoxicity induced by adriamycin. Single constuents of these prescriptions shows a significant effect of protection for cardiotoxicity induced by adriamycin in cultured myocardial cells. These results show that adriamycin elicits toxic effects in cultured myocardial cells derived from neonatal mouse, and suggest that water extract of gamdu-tang, gamigamdu-tang, Radix Glycyrrhizae, Semen Glycine, or Folium Phyllostachyos is very effective in the prevention of adriamycin-induced cardiotoxicity.

        Nondestructive Measurement of Paprika (Capsicum annuum L.) Internal Electrical Conductivity and Its Relation to Environmental Factors

        The electrical properties of plants represent physiological activities including water and ion transport in their stems. Therefore, monitoring electrical conductivity in plants (ECp) can be used to detect plant responses to changes in environmental conditions. Stable measurement of internal ECp was developed to evaluate the relationship between the ECp and environmental factors. Two electrodes with three needles were inserted into each side of paprika stems to monitor paprika ECp in response to the environmental factors of temperature, irradiation, and relative humidity. The ECp was positively correlated with irradiation and temperature (R² = 0.642 and 0.815, respectively), but negatively correlated with relative humidity (R² = -0.416). The ECp was higher in May than in February due to size differences in the vascular bundle sheaths as well as changes in irradiation and temperature. The ECp was predicted using a regression equation that described environmental data, and the predicted results corresponded well to plant measurements. The ECp was higher during the day than at night, which was attributed to higher daytime water content in the stems.
