The protective activity of seolitae chungkukjang added with green tea against oxidative stress was investigated under the cellular systems using LLC-PK1 cells. The treatment of 2,2'-azobis(2-aminopropane) dihydrochloride (AAPH) showed increase in lipid peroxidation, and decrease in endogenous antioxidant enzymes activity and cell viability. However, the methanol extract of seolitae chungkukjang inhibited lipid peroxidation by 58.3%, and increased cell viability up to more than 60%. In addition, it enhanced superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) activities. Seolitae chungkukjang improved oxidative stress-induced cellular injury through the radical scavenging activities. In particular, the addition of green tea in seolitae chungkukjang showed stronger effect against oxidative stress induced by AAPH. The more addition of green tea resulted in the greater antioxidative effect through elevation in activities of SOD and GSH-Px, and inhibition of lipid peroxidation, eventually leading to increase in cell viability. Theses results suggested that seolitae chungkukjang added with green tea have protective effects from cellular oxidative damage and could be considered as an application for the development of chungkukjang with functionality.
A New Isoflavone Glycoside from the Stem Bark of Sophora japonica
Hyun Young Park,Soo Hee Kim,Gi Beom Kim,Jae Young Sim,임순성,Myong Jo Kim,Wanjoo Chun,Yong Soo Kwon 대한약학회 2010 Archives of Pharmacal Research Vol.33 No.8
A new isoflavone glycoside, 6-methoxy-7-hydroxy-4’-O-β-D-glucosyl isoflavone, glycitein-4’-O-β-D-glucoside (10), along with nine known flavonoids, were isolated from the stem bark of Sophora japonica. The structures of these compounds were determined by analysis of spectroscopic data (1D -, 2D - NMR and HRMS). The inhibitory effects of all the isolated compounds on aldose reductase were evaluated in vitro. Among these compounds, daidzein (1), puerol A (4), and paratensein-7-O-glucoside (9) exhibited potent inhibitory effects, with IC50 values of 3.2, 6.4, and 1.9 μM, respectively.

( Hyun Young Park ),( Soon Bae Kwon ),( Nam Kee Heo ),( Wan Joo Chun ),( Myong Jo Kim ),( Yong Soo Kwon ) 한국응용생명화학회 2011 Applied Biological Chemistry (Appl Biol Chem) Vol.54 No.2
Eleven compounds were isolated from the stem of Angelica gigas. On the basis of spectral data, these compounds were identified as isoimperatorin (1), 7-methoxy-5-prenyloxycoumarin (2), imperatorin (3), decursin (4), bergapten (5), psoralen (6), xanthotoxin (7), p-hydroxyphenethyl trans-ferulate (8), visamminol (9), scopoletin (10), and 3`-hydroxyxanthyletin (11). All isolates were evaluated in vitro for their inhibitory activities on the rat lens aldose reducatase. Tested compounds (1-11) exhibited inhibitory activities against rat lens aldose reductase with IC50 values ranging from 2.59 to 191.91 μM.
How Consumers Spend and Distribute Money Tainted by Anger
Hyun Young PARK 한국유통과학회 2021 유통과학연구 Vol.19 No.7
Purpose: Anger has become one of the dominantly experienced emotions in recent years, particularly under the COVID-19 pandemic. Considering the critical role that anger plays in consumers’ lives, the present research examines how feeling angry about money influences consumers’ spending and money distribution decisions. Research design and methodology. Three experiments were conducted using different emotion induction methods (i.e., dictator game, autobiographical recall, and scenario). Results. Feeling angry about money decreased pro-social spending (i.e., less money distribution to the others), but it did not affect virtuous or utilitarian spending for the self—unlike past finding on negative feelings that increased utilitarian spending. Furthermore, whereas anger-tainted money decreased pro-social spending of that money, guilt-tainted money increased pro-social spending. However, the effects of guilt versus anger were not completely symmetrical. The antagonistic effect of anger was diffusive across spending on distant and close others, whereas the pro-social effect of guilt was limited to distant others. Conclusions: These findings help policy makers and financial institutions forecast how money will be distributed or circulated when it is likely to be dampened by anger under the pandemic. They also highlight the importance of examining the effects of discrete emotions (e.g., anger vs. guilt) beyond valence.

Purpose - This study aims to build other studies and research on the perception and association of fair hiring policy and employee job satisfaction. The reviews and further research of the performance appraisal and employee satisfaction topics provided a basis to conduct this study based on the challenges that result from equality hiring perception on the performance appraisal on the job satisfaction by employees. Research design, data, and methodology - The author collected many textual contexts from mostly peer-reviewed academic journals, which means that academic comprehensive integrity can be obtained by qualitative approach for this study with discussing and following a constructive review analysis. The content analysis aims to determine a textural dataset in the longtime frame from the newest textural information. Result - There is little doubt that this study was significant and relevant to the relationship between fair hiring policy and worker’s job satisfaction, indicating that an organization that practices a fair hiring policy positively affects employee job satisfaction. After all, the employee needs are well catered for and meet appropriately. Conclusion - This study suggests that fairness extensively relies on the organization s ability to identify and eliminate any form of performance challenges regarding equity and has proved and determined the significant relationship between fair hiring policy and employees job satisfaction
