        Solvoltic rates for 1-adamantyl chloride and 1-adamantyl bromide were determined for methanol-mitromethane and methanol-nitrobenzene. Solvent ionizing power was estimated for two mixtures. Two solvent mixtures were shown that uncleophilic solvent assistant was in relation to the general use of the Grunwald-Winstein equation. Also, there is no evidence to support ail earlier suggestion that 1-adamantyl derivatives are procedeed by S( )1 absolutely, wherein they can be interpreted as evidence for dessociative S( )2 from the results of double difference method and Berry's pseudo rotation process diagram.

        NFI-C 결손 생쥐의 상아모세포 분화과정에서 DSPP와 BSP mRNA의 발현

        NFI-C는 정상적으로 상아모세포, 골모세포에 존재하며,NFI-C가 결손된 경우 치근상아질을 형성하는 상아모세포의 분화에 이상이 있다고 알려져있다. 본 연구는 NFI-C(-/-) 생쥐에서 치관 및 치근의 상아질을 형성하는 상아모세포의 표현형을 상아모세포에 특이적으로 발현하는 DSPP와 골모세포에 특이적으로 반응하는 BSP 유전자를 이용한 in-situ hybridization을 통하여 연구하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1.NFI-C(-/-) 생쥐의 구치에서 치관 상아질은 정상적으로 형성되었으나, 치근 상아질은 형성되지 않았다. 2.NFI-C(-/-) 생쥐의 하악 절치의 순측 상아질은 비교적 많이 형성되었으나, 설측의 상아질은 형성되지 않았다. 3.NFI-C (-/-) 생쥐의 하악 절치의 상아모세포는 형태가 변화되었으며, 형성된 상아질 내에 세포가 함입되는 양상을 보였다. 4.NFI-C (-/-)생주의 구치에서 치관부위의 상아모세포에서는 DSPP가 강하게 발현되었으나. 치근부위의 상아모세포에서는 발현되지 않았다. 또한 NFI-C(-/-) 생쥐에서 절치의 순측 상아모세포에서는 DSPP가 약하게 발현되었다. 5. 정상 생쥐에서 절치의 상아모세포에서는 BSP가 발현되지 않았으나. NFI-C (-/-) 생쥐에서는 BSP가 강하게 발현되었다. 이상의 결과를 종합하여 볼 때 NFI-C가 결손된 경우 상아모세포가 골모세포로 분화되는 표현형의 변화를 보이는 것으로 사료된다. Nuclear factor I (NFI) exists in the odontoblast and osteoblast.NFI-C null mice demonstrated aberrant odontoblast differentiation, abnormal dentin formation, and molar lacking roots. The purpose of this study was to examine phenotype of the aberrant odontoblast in NFI-C null mice and to evaluate the expression of DSPP and BSP mRNAs in NFI-C null mice with in-situ hybridization. The results were as follows: 1.In the NFI-C (-/-) mice, the crown dentin of molar showed normally formation, but there was no root dentin. 2.In the NFI-C (-/-) mice, the labial dentin of mandibular incisors showed relatively a lot of dentin formation, but the lingual dentin showed defect. 3.In the NFI-C (-/-) mice, the odontoblast of mandibular incisors revealed abnormal shape and trapped in osteodentin-like mineralized tissue. 4.In the NFI-C (-/-) mice, the odontoblast in the crown dentin of molars showed strong expression of DSPP, the odontoblast in the root dentin of molars was not expression of DSPP. In the NFI-C (-/-) mice the odontoblast in the mandibular incisors showed weekly expression of DSPP. 5.In the wild mice, the odontoblasts of mandibular incisors were not expression of BSP, but in the NFI-C (-/-) mice the odontoblast of mandibular incisors showed strong expression of BSP. These results suggest that odontoblst in the NFI-C (-/-) mice changes the phenotype into osteoblast.

        기능적 방법을 이용한 소아의 하악과두 골절의 처치 : 증례 보고 A case report

        The pediatric condylar fracture occurs very frequently in the mandible, but this injury is occasionally ignored due to difficulty of diagnosis and no cooperation of patient. The adequate initial diagnosis and active treatment must be performed because delayed and improper treatment lead to possible severe complication such as TMJ ankylosis and retardation of mandibular development. Most pediatric condylar fracture is mainly performed by the conservative or functional treatment. but it may be required open reduction according to cases. In this study, Activator is applied for functional treatment of pediatric condylar fracture and fair recovery of jaw function is acquired.

      • Dabsyl Chlorides의 親核性 置換反應

        Kinetic studies of nuclsophilic substitution reaction of dabsyl chloride with pyridines have been investigated at 30℃ in a range of methanol-acetonitrile bianary solvent mixtures. The order of magnitude fo reactivity is β-picoline > pyridine > 1.5-N D A > α-picoline to react with dabsyl chloride, especially in case of α-picoline, the reactivity revealed lower than others, it is suggestd that nitrogen atom of pyfidine ring has a steric hinderance by the neightboring methyl group. The value of ρ(-0.96∼4.59) and β(0.36∼0.67) associated with a change of substituent in the nucleophile are large and indicate a realtively advanced bond formation in the transition state. Solvatochraomic correlations were predicted the importance of bond formation transition state, showing a greater contribution of polaritypolarizability (π*) lone paired to hydro-gen bond donar acidity (α). We conclude that the reaction of dabsyl chloride with pyridine proceed via S2 type reaction mechanism, as well as the reaction of dansyl chloride pyridine.

      • N-벤조일-이미다졸 유도체의 가수분해반응

        The pseudo first order rates for hydrolyses of N-benzoyl-(2,4,5-triphenyl)-imidazole and N-benzoyl-(4,5-diphenyl)-imidazole have been measured by means of spectrometry in over all pH range at 30˚C with the ionic strength of 0.5M KC1. In the case of N-benzoyl-(2,4,5-triphenyl)-imidazole, the general acid catalytic reaction was not observed, while the general base catalytic reaction showed in near the range of pH=7. In the case of N-benzoyl-(4,5-diphenyl)-imidazole, the general acid and base catalytic reaction showed at the regions of less than pH=4 and more than pH=10. The rate constants for pH independent reaction of N-benzoyl-(2,4,5,-triphenyl)-imidazole were shown a little bit faster than those of the corresponding to N-benzoyl-(4,5-diphenyl)-imidazole. The reaction mechanism of pH independent reaction was interpreted by means of thermodynamic parameters, and the isotope effect. The magni-tude of ΔH??, ΔS??, ??/?? values indicated that the bond breaking had been progressed more than bond formation in the transition state.

        This paper describes two traffic shaping methods for VBR(variable bit rate) video bit streams encoded in the MPEG-2 syntax. Difficulties in control of VBR video traffic are lessened by traffic shaping. Burstness of single layer MPEG-2 can be reduced by performing intra-refresh in more than one consecutive frames. In two layer encoding of spatial scalability, burstness can be reduced by setting the temporal locations of GOP starting frame of a layVBR 트래픽을 허용한다는 것이다. 모든 AAL er, differently from the other. Queueing analysis shows that these two methods outperform conventional encoding schemes in terms of temporal and semantic QoS requirements.

        The nucleophilic substitution reactions of alkanecarbonyl chlorides with alchohols in the polar aprotic solventls have been studied by means of the conductimerical method. The results are as follows; 1. The order of magnitude of the second-order rate constants in the same substrate is acetyl carbonyl chloride>propionyl choride>X-valeryl iso-vareryl chloride. This is in full accord with the inductive effect by means of the polarizability effect that is due to connect with the σ-bond of alkyl radical to neigboring atom. 2. The reactionis proceeded through the S2 reaction mechanism from the analysis of the values of m and ℓwhich are obtained from the extended Grunwald-Winstein equation. 3. From the prediction on the More O'Ferrall plot the reaction mechanism is favored to the SN route. 4. As shown in the quantum mechanical model, the reaction mechanism is shown to favor an associative S2. 5. The reaction mechanism is in accord with an associative S2 reaction mechanism in consideration of the solvent effect exactly.

        Antigenieity Study of CFA-001,Cefazolin,a Cephalosperin Derivative Produced by an Enzymatic Semisynthesis

        The antigenic potential of CFA-001, cefazolin, a cephalosporin derivative produced by an enzymatic semisynthesis, was determined in Hartley guinea pigs. A battery of tests employed consisted of active systemic anaphylaxis (ASA), passive cutaneous anaphylaxis (PCA), and indirect hemagglutination test (IHA). The results were as follows: 1) In ASA, no signs attributable to anaphylaxis was observed in guinea pigs sensitized with CFA-001, whereas OVA-sensitized animals induced severe anaphylactic symptoms; 2) guinea pigs did not produce antibodies against CFA-001 when sensitized with or without Freund's complete adjuvant (FCA) in homologous PCA tests. Meanwhile, antibodies against ovalbumin (OVA) were clearly detected; 3) No CFA-001-specific hemagglutination was observed in the IHA using sera obtained from CFA-001-sensitized guinea pigs. These results suggest that CFA-001 has no antigenicity potential in guinea pigs.

        Laparotomy versus Laparoscopic Placement of Distal, Catheter in Ventriculoperitoneal Shunt Procedure

        Objective : Traditionally, peritoneal catheter is inserted with midline laparotomy incision in ventriculoperitoneal (V-P) shunt procedures. Complications of V-P shunt is not uncommon and have been reported to occur in 5-37% of cases. The aim of this study is to compare the clinical outcomes and the operation time between laparotomy and laparoscopic groups. Methods : A total of 155 V-P shunt procedures were performed to treat hydrocephalic patients of various origins in our institute between June 2006 to January 2010; 95 of which were laparoscopically guided and 65 were not. We reviewed the operation time, surgery-related complications, and intraoperative and postoperative problems. Results : In the laparoscopy group, the mean duration of the procedure (52 minutes) was significantly shorter (p < 0.001) than the laparotomy group (109 minutes). There were two cases of malfunctions and one incidence of diaphragm injury in the laparotomy group. In contrast, there were neither malfunction nor any internal organ injuries in the laparoscopy group (p = 0.034). There were total of two cases of infections from both groups (p = 0.7). Conclusion : Laparoscopically guided insertions of distal shunt catheter is considered a fast and safe method in contrast to the laparotomy technique. This method allows the exact localization of the peritoneal catheter and a confirmation of its patency.
