Pancreatin is a enzyme mixture breaking down carbohydrates, proteins and lipids. Most pancreatin used in Korea is imported from foreign countries. However, guideline of eacch country for pancreatin produced from each country is different. Therefore, guideline for pancreatin imported from several countries, such as Europe, Japan and America, it is standardized to control its quality. Assay of enzyme activity for pancreatin in KP is similar to that in JP, but it is significantly different from those in FIP and in USP. We measured pancreatin digestive activites of 17 commercial products. Activity assay of digestive enzymes, starch-and lipid-digestive enzymes, for pancreatin by KP mehtod (including JP) was difficult compared to those by FIP and USP methods. Particularly, activity assays of starch-and lipid-digestive enzymes by KP method were mistakable, and varied in diluted samples than those by FIP. However, activity assay of protein-digestive enzyme by KP method was similar to that by FIP. Starch-digestive enzyme activities of 17 commerical pancreatins by KP method were lower 0.079-fold compared to those by FIP method. Their protein-digestive enzyme activities by KP method were higher 75.7-fold than those by FIP method. Their lipid-digestive enzyme activities by KP method were lower 0.234-fold compared to those by FIP method.

The experimental electronic states of ?? ions in ?? single crystals grown by the chemical transport reaction method were investigated from the optical absorption measurement. The fine structures observed from the absorption spectra of ?? are ascertained to be due to the electronic transitions between the energy levels of ?? ions located at ?? symmetry sites. In particular, it was observed that the Racah parameter B and the crystal field parameter Dq increase with increasing the Mg concentration on the ?? single crystals, which is related to the effects of the covalency on the interaction parameters. The values of these parameters were shown to be resonable comparing to those of other Se compounds.

It is Important to know the normal size, shape, and signal intensity of anterior cruciate ligament in the evaluation of knee injury Many studies have reported findings of tear or rupture as well as normal anatomy of these structure, especially with MR images. To our knowledge, there are few studies about normal structures of anterior cruciate ligament in MR images. The purpose of this study is to compare normal finding with tear of anterior cruciate ligament on MRI. Twenty-three cases with rupture of anterior cruciate ligament were evaluated on MRI, measuring the length, thickness, width of anterior cruciate ligament, and angles of anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments. Mean length, thickness, and width of anterior cruciate ligament in patients with rupture were 37.7±4.8mm, 9.0±1.2mm, 8.0±0.8mm, and mean angles of anterior cruciate ligament, and posterior cruciate ligament were 48.1±9.6˚, 118.8±13.1˚. Curvature ratio of posterior cruciate ligament was 0.25±0.09. The results showed significant differences between normal persons and patients with complete or partial rupture, and the mean angle and curvature ratio of posterior cruciate ligament which are known to related with indirect sign in tear of anterior cruciate ligament showed significant differences between ours and that of western countries. These results will be useful in the evaluation of patient wish rupture of anterior cruciate ligament, especially on MRI.
Polyacrylonitrile-Cu(Ⅱ) Complex의 형성과 촉매활성 및 전기전도성에 관한 연구

The PAN-Cu (Ⅱ) and Al(Ⅲ) complexes were most stable in the pH range from 9 to 11. The viscosity of the PAN-Cu (Ⅱ) complex was lower than that of PAN-Al(Ⅲ)complex because the conformation of the former is more compact than that of latter. The catalytic activity of PAN-Cu (Ⅱ) complex in decomposition of hydrogen peroxide was increased with an increase of complex concentration and reaction time. The PAN-Cu (Ⅱ) complex exhibited electrical resistivity around 10⁴Ω·cm when modified iodine in acetone. The electrical resistivity was significantly affected by the amount of added cupric chloride, iodine and results were satisfactorily obtained by adding more than 20wt % of cupric chloride and about 1.0wt% iodine.
고 Mn-Cr 강의 조사손상에 미치는 전자선 조사 온도의 영향

The effect of electron-beam irradiation temperature on irradiation damage of 12%Cr-15%Mn austenitic steel for structural material of nuclear and/or fusion reactors from the point of view of the reduced activation was investigated by using the 1,250 keV HVEM and an energy dispersed X-ray analyzer(EDX) in a 200 keV FE-TEM with beam diameter of about 0.5 nm. Void formation was not observed in irradiated specimen. The dislocation loop growth was observed and the density and size of dislocation loop were increased with irradiation dose. Irradiation-induced segregations of Cr and Mn at grain boundary were also observed by electron-beam irradiation condition. The amount of Mn segregation was increased with irradiation temperature, however, segregation phenomenon was disappeared in the case of Cr.
고농도 용액의 침지시 감자 절편의 탈수모델에 관한 연구

감자절편를 고농도용애에 침지하여 탈수시킨 결과 침지용액을 구성하는 용질의 분자량에 따라 탈수 형태가 다르게 나타났다. 저분자 용액 인 NaCl. PEG 400 용액에 침지만 경우 조직의 뒤틀림현상(cytorrhysis)은 나타나지 않고 부피의 감소와 수분의 탈수현상이 나타난 반면 고분자 용액인 PEG 4000, PEG 6000용액에 침지한 경우cytorrhysis 현상을 동반한 부피의 감소와 탈수현상이 나타났다. 초기 탈수속도는 저분자용액에 침지시 더 빨랐으나 최종 탈수량은 고분자 용액에 침지시 더 컸다. 고장성 용액에 감자절편을 침지시켜 탈수되는 기작이 두가지 압력(삼투압, 분자압착력)에 의해 진행된다고 가정하고 모델을 제안하여 검정한 결과 제안된 모델은 고분자 용액에 침지시의 탈수현상을 설명하는데 적합하였다 모델에서 구해진 압력인자(ΔP)와 농도인자(a)는 온도(T)와 농도(C)의 함수로 표현되며 계수의 탄력성 검정결과 농도에대한 의존성이 더 큰 것으로 나타났다. To investigate the effect of molecular size of solute of solution where which potato slices were soaked. In the case of soaking in low molecular solution like NaCl and polyethylene glycol(PEG)400 solution only plasmolysis was observed. However in high molecular solution like PEG4000 and PEG6000, cytorrhysis was observed. Initial dewatering rate was faster when soaked in low molecular solution but total amount of removed water was larger in high molecular solution. Suggested model fitted well dewatering phenomena when soaked in high molecular solution. Pressure factor and concentration factor was more dependent on concentration of soaking solution than soaking temperature.

A valve spring retainer is a small disc and located at intake and exhaust valve stem of engine. The retainer supports a valve spring and transmits spring force to a valve. Force is applied to the retainer repeatedly by a rocker arm. Durability of the retainer is an important factor of performance. Weight of retainer affect dynamic performance of engine. Therefore, optimal strength and weight of the retainer design are needed. In this study, stress distribution and fracture load of retainer were analyzed by using FEM to design optimal strength and weight. Static load test was simulated by using commercial FEM code DEFORM-3D. Shapes of the retainer to reduce weight were designed and analyzed to verify validity of it. Simulated results and experimental ones were compared
