국내의 수많은 화석산지 중 20곳이 국가지정문화재 천연기념물로 지정되어 보호 및 보존되고 있다. 천연기념물 화석산지 중 많은 지역이 인위적인 훼손과 함께 자연적 풍화ㆍ침식이 활발한 해안가에 위치하여 훼손이 진행되어 점차 원형을 잃어가고 있다. 따라서 이들에 대한 원형 보존 및 원형 기록 자료의 확보가 시급히 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 천연기념물 제394호 해남 우항리 공룡ㆍ익룡ㆍ새 발자국 화석산지에 대한 항구적인 원형 기록 자료의 확보를 위하여 3차원 디지털 기술을 적용하였다. 이를 통해 이 지역의 2개 지점에 대한 정밀 기록 작업을 완료하였고, 정확도가 높은 분포도를 작성하였으며, 앰비언트 어클루젼(Ambient occlusion) 렌더링 기법에 의한 렌더링 기법을 적용하여 발자국 화석에 대한 보다 정확한 분석자료를 확보하였다. 발자국 화석에 대한 3D 데이터는 보존과 연구 자료로서의 가치 이외에도 3차원 브로셔와 인터랙티브 컨텐츠 제작 등의 다양한 분야에 활용 가능한 콘텐츠로서의 가치를 지닌다. 20 fossil sites of numerous fossil sites in Korea have been designated as Natural Monument for protection and conservation. Many of the sites which is located at the coastal area have been gradually disfigured by natural weathering, erosion and human activity. Thus the conservation of the original form and the documentation for the original figure are necessary. In this study, we applied 3D digital documentation to Natural Monument No. 394, Haenam Uhangri dinosaur, pterosaur, and bird footprint fossil site, for maintaining the original form of the dinosaur footprints. We were able to obtain the 3D digital data on two dinosaur footprint sites, a high resolution distributional map, and more accurate digital data of the dinosaur footprints applied the rendering method by ambient occlusion. 3D digital data on the dinosaur footprints is worth for the conservation and research data, moreover content for applying to the various fields such as to make 3D brochure, interactive contents, and so on.

Thirty strains of salmonella and 25 of shigella were isolated from patients visited Kyungpook National University Hospital and Taegu Presbyterian Hospital from April through September of 1971, and their biological as well as serological characteristics were studied. All strains of salmonella were typed as S. typhi. Among 25 strains of shigella, 20 were classified as Sh. flexneri 2a, 3 as Sh. flexneri 1b, one as Sh. flexneri Sc, and one as Sh. sonnei.
Gasification kinetics of five coal chars with CO2 at elevated pressure

five coals, the reactivity of char-CO2 gasification was investigated with a pressurized thermogravi-metric analyzer (PTGA) in the temperature range 850-1,000oC and the total pressure range 0.5-2.0 MPa. The effectof coal rank, initial char characteristics and presure on the reaction rate were evaluated for five coal chars. The reactivityof low lank coal char was better than that of high rank coal char. It was found that Meso/macro-pores of char markedlyaffect char reactivity by way of providing channels for difusion of reactant gas into the reactive surface area. Overthe range of tested pressure, the reaction rate is proportional to CO2 partial pressure and the reaction order ranges fromabout 0.4 to 0.7 for five chars. Kinetic parameters, based on the shrinking particle model, were obtained for five chars.

A case of B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia associated with monoclonal gammopathy is presented with a review of literatures. On Dec. 24, 1987, 66-year-old Korean female patient was referred to the Department of Internal Medicine of Chonbuk National University Hospital from the Department of of General Surgery because of lymphocytosis. Physical examination revealed splenomegaly 6㎝ below the left subcostal margin. No lymphadenopathy was present, and the remainder of the physical examination was normal. Hematologic studies showed marked lymphocytosis(leukocyte count; 32,000/㎕, differential count; lymphocyte 80%, atypical lymphocyte 1%, monocyte 2% and neutrophil 17%) and mild anemia (hemoglobin; 11.2 g/㎗) but didn't show thrombocytopenia(platelet count; 160,000/㎕). On the peripheral blood smears and the bone marrow aspiration smears, a marked predominance of matureappearing medium-sized lymphocytes with a moderate amount of light-blue cytoplasm was noted. A marked suppression of granulocytic and erythroid series was demonstrated in the bone marrow. Serum protein electrophoresis and immunoelectrophoresis showed an M-component(IgG, kappa type). A surface marker analysis of her peripheral blood lymphocytes by the use of FACSTER cytometer demon strated a phenotype of anti-HLA-DR+, anti-kappa+, anti-Leu9+, anti-Leu4+, anti-Leu Ml+, anti-CALLA- and anti-lambda-. The patient has been followed up without any specific treatment for 27 months.
