        이종각 혜전대학 1997 論文集 Vol.15 No.-

        This study is to establish the general semantic interpretation scheme of progressive aspect in English within the framework of cognitive grammar of Langacker (1982a, 1982b, 1987, 1991). I propose that the progressive aspect form, "be + V-ing" has meaniung, and the present participle morpheme 'V-ing' focuses attention on a single, arbitrarily selected internal point relative to a process. As an auxiliary element, 'V-ing' is restricted to perfective predicates and is always accompanied by 'be'. 'V-ing' stativizes the trajectory by restricting to s single, arbitrarily selected internal point; it defines a state relative and internal to the perfective process. BE(ING(RUN)) describes the continuation through an indefinite time span of the location of the subject somewhere within the trajectory defined by the perfective predicate RUN. The meaning BE(ING(RUN)) is expressed as a schema. I have observed and described that the prototype, the basic meaning and the extended meaning construct a network of the meaning schema. The prototype is a schematized representation of the typical instance. The protype of the progressive aspect form. "be + V-ing" has the meaning, which stativized the temporal characterics on a point in the middle part of the perfective process, and the verb 'be' extends the stativity by 'V-ing'. The progressive aspect expresses the basic meaning of continuity, incompleteness, and duration. The basic meaning of the progressive aspect extend to the meaning of the future, the repetitive, the momentary, the temporary, and the metaphorical. These are regarded as the extended meaning of the progressive aspect. The relationship of the meanings can be shown in a schema of the prototype, the basic meaning and the extened meaning.

        In this study English language teaching and learning model in junior colleges has been studied. In Korea English has been taught, for most part, through grammatical analysis and translation which is based on the structural syllabus. As a result, at the end of the school education students' abilities are limited to deal with linguistic forms; their communicative abilities have not been developed. Thus communicative competence should be the objective of English language teaching and learning, and in order to develop the communicative competence I discuss some implications of recent studies on communicative approach, relating them to the current teaching and learning English in junior colleges. It is proposed that Practical Living English, General Culture English, and Specific Major English should be included in newly suggested English Teaching and Learning Curriculum in junior colleges. According to the new curriculum the text should be constructed to help the students get the communicative competence, using the new syllabi. The teaching and learning method of proportional model and balance model for the communicative competence should applied for communicative activities among students and teachers. The evaluation of the teaching and learning should be graded on the basis of the communicative competence in the receptive skills and expression skills. In conclusion the improvement in these main areas would enable the English education in junior colleges to prepare students to communicate in English better than the program in past years has been able to.

        새로운 이론을 발견한다는 것은 산에 올라 새롭고 넓은 시야를 갖게 되는 것과 같 다. -애덤 스미스- 일반적으로 ‘개념’이라 함은 한 무리의 개체들로부터 공통적인 성질만을 추출하여 만든 관념을 말한다. 즉 개개의 것을 나타내는 성질을 통일할 수 있는 성질을 지칭하 는 것이 개념이라고 할 수 있다. 교육열이라는 개념은 한국 사회에서 다양한 형태로 나타나고 있는 각각의 교육주체들의 교육에 대한 열성, 열의에 대한 일반화된 성질을 말한다. 이러한 교육열에 관한 연구는 왕성하지는 않지만 꾸준히 이어져오고 있는 편 이다.

      • 淨水場 沈澱池의 슬러지 發生量 推定에 관한 硏究

        This study has been carried out to investigate relation between turbidity, suspended solids and chemical feed method. The author has analyzed the characteristics of the sludge and quantity of the generated sludge from The resulte of this study could be summerized as follows. 1. Turbidity and total residues on evaporation of raw water were in proportion to quantity of the generated sludge. 2. Turbidity distribution was plotted two straight lines in the logarithm legal map. One was high turbidity side, which was of offered by direct run-off. The other was low turbidity side, which was offered by subdirect run-off. 3. The convertion factor of turbidity and suspended solids was in the range of 0.9-1.6. 4. In the logarithm legal map, as turbidity changes high or low, so the injection rate of aluminum (AL) does not change nearly. But, as the turbidity increases, so the ratio of aluminum and turbidity (AIT) decreases.

        본논문은 트란지스터발진기의 발진영역과 부저항의 변화에 대하여 하나의 새로운 방법을 써서 고찰한 것이다. 트란지스터귀환발진기의 발진영역을, 귀환소자임피이던스의 복소평면상에 나타내면 원이 된다. 그리고, 귀환소자임퍼이던스의 저항분을 일정하게 하고, 리액턴스분을 변화시키거나, 혹은 이와 반대로 리액틴스분을 일정하게하고, 저항분을 변화시킬 때, 출력콘덕턴스가 극소로 되는 점의 궤적은 쌍곡선이 된다. 트란지스터수정발진기에서는, 발진영역은 부하임퍼이던스의 복소평면상에서, 입력임피이던스의 실수부 및 허수부를 0이 되게 하는, 두개의 원에 의하여 정해진다. 그리고, 부하임피이던스의 저항분을 일정하게 하고 리액턴스분을 변화시키거나, 혹은 반대로 리액턴스분을 일정하게 하고 저항분을 변화시킬 때, 입력저항을 극대 또는 극소로 되게 한는 점의 궤적은, 네 개의 직선이 된다. The paper presents a new method for analyzing oscillation regions of transistor oscillators. In transistor feedback oscillators oscillation region appears as a circle in feedback impedance complex plane. When the resistive component of feedback impedance is fixed and the reactive component of feedback impedance is varied or vice versa, the locus of maximum negative output conductance becomes hyperbola. In transistor crystal oscillators oscillation region is determined by two circles which make real part and imaginary part of input impedance zero in load impedance complex plane. When the resistive compoment of load impedance is fixed and the reactive colnponent of load impedance is varied or vice versa, the loci of maximum or minimum resistive component of input impedance become straight lines.

        This study is to explore the meaning of the English passive construction. The origin of the English passive construction is the middle voice of the Indo-European language and it developed in 16 century in English. This study shows that there are two kinds of passive construction: Trans formational passive and Lexical passive. The Lexical passive displays the characteristics of 'Adjective', while the Transformational passive shows the characteristics of 'move NP' using the Agent Postposing and NP Preposing. This study shows that the meaning of the passive construction is different from that of the active construction. Active verbs display the process of the verb action, but passive verbal phrases show the completeness of the process and the resultant state of the process. It is claimed that 'Be', 'the participial morpheme (-EN)', and 'by phrase' are all meaningful, and that passives derived not from an active clausal source but from the combination of the elements of the passive construction. The Topic of the passive construction can be treated as the subject of the passive as Patient, and the Focus of the construction is shown by Agent(by phrase) which indicates new information in Discourse. Therefore, this study confirms that different form has the different meaning.
