Purpose: The purpose of this study was to assess the intra-rater and inter-rater reliability and validity of pelvic tilting angle measurements using a smart phone-based inclinometer (Clino) compared to a palpation meter (PALM) in the standing and sitting position. This study used an interchangeable method with Clino to measure the pelvic tilting angle in the standing and sitting positions. Methods: Twenty healthy subjects were recruited. Measurements of the pelvic tilting angle in the standing and sitting positions were obtained by two examiners using the Clino and PALM. A resting session was conducted 10 minutes later to assess the intra and inter rater reliability. To assess validity of the measurement using Clino, a PALM was used as the gold standard. The intra-class correlation coefficient (ICC) was used to determine the intra and inter rater reliability of Clino and a PALM. To assess the validity, the Pearson correlation coefficients were used for two measurement techniques to measure the pelvic tilting angle in the standing and sitting positions. The statistical significance was set to a=0.05. Results: Measurements of the pelvic tilt had high inter-rater reliability in the standing (ICC=0.82) and sitting (ICC=0.88) positions using Clino and intra-rater reliability in the standing (ICC=0.87) and sitting (ICC=0.91) positions using Clino. Measurements of the pelvic tilt had high validity by a comparison of PALM and Clino in the standing (r=0.83) and sitting (r=0.89) positions (p<0.05). Conclusion: The use of Clino can be recommended as a tool to replace the PALM and measure the pelvic tilt angle in the standing and sitting positions while maintaining the clinical reliability and validity.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of game-based reading activities on the reading fluency and attitudes of elementary school students from multicultural families with reading difficulties. A multiple probe baseline design across subjects was used with three second-grade elementary school students from multicultural families struggling with reading in order to investigate the effect of game-utilized reading activities on their reading fluency and attitude. After the intervention, it was found that the reading fluency of all participating students had improved compared to the baseline, and their reading attitudes had also changed positively. These results indicate that game-based reading activities are an effective instructional method for improving reading in elementary students from multicultural families with reading difficulties. Furthermore, it suggests that game-based reading activities can be used as a useful instructional method to enhance the reading abilities of these students.

Al 및 Y 질산염 용액에 탄산수소암모늄(NH$_4$HCO$_3$)을 침전제로 사용하여 YAG 분말을 합성하였다. 침전물을 attrition-milling한 결과, $Y_2$O$_3$와 YAG 상이 생성되었으며, 분쇄한 침전물을 110$0^{\circ}C$에서 1시간 하소하여 결정상이 잘 발달된 YAG 단일상 분말을 얻을 수 있었다. 분말의 소결성은 소결조제 SiO$_2$(500ppm Si)의 첨가에 관계없이 매우 우수하였다. 모든 시편은 130$0^{\circ}C$에서 이미 70% 이상의 밀도로 소결되었으며,140$0^{\circ}C$에서도 -83%의 밀도를 나타내었다. SiO$_2$로 도핑한 시편은 도핑하지 않은 시편 보다 치밀화가 약간 향상되었으며, 1$600^{\circ}C$에서 97%의 소결밀도가 얻어졌다. Yttrium Aluminum Garnet (YAG) powders were synthesized by precipitation of solutions of Al and Y nitrates using ammonium hydrogen carbonate as a precipitant. Y$_2$O$_3$ and YAG phases were formed in the precipitates, which had been attrition-milled. Well-crystallized, phase-pure YAG powders were obtained after calcination of the milled precipitates at 1100$^{\circ}C$ for 1 h. The powders were found to exhibit an excellent sinterability regardless of the addition of SiO$_2$(500 ppm Si) as a sintering aid. All samples already densified to relative densities greater than 70% at 1300$^{\circ}C$ and relative densities of ∼83% at 1400$^{\circ}C$. The samples doped with SiO$_2$ showed a little improvement in densification as compared with those for the undoped samples and resulted in a relative density of 97% at 1600$^{\circ}C$.

Purpose We investigated the most effective exercise among three thoracic extensor strengthening exercises (active prone thoracic extension, active prone thoracic hyper-extension, and active sitting thoracic extension) based on selective activity of the thoracic spine extensors. Study design Comparative, repeated measures design. Methods Sixteen healthy participants performed three thoracic extensor strengthening exercises. Electromyograph (EMG) activity was measured in the longissimus thoracis (LT), iliocostalis thoracis (ICT), and iliocostalis lumborum (ICL) muscles. Results The ICT/ICL and LT/ICL composition ratios were greatest in active sitting thoracic extension compared to other exercises. Conclusions We recommend active sitting thoracic extension exercise for selective strengthening of the thoracic spine extensor. 리튬이온 전지용 분리막의 표면 개질 기술 및 연구 동향

리튬이온 전지(lithium-ion batteries, LIBs)는 높은 에너지 밀도, 느린 자가방전율, 고율 충전 능력 및 긴 배터리 수명등의 좋은 성능으로 촉망받는 에너지 저장 장치로 꼽힌다. 그러나 고에너지 밀도의 전기자동차 및 대형 디바이스 산업에서 이러한 LIBs의 적용은 큰 안전 문제를 일으키고 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 열적 안정성 및 내재적안전성이 높은 재료를 개발하는 것이 LIBs의 안정성 및 전기화학적 성능을 향상시키는 궁극적인 해결방법이다. 본총설에서는 상용 분리막의 안정성 문제 극복을 위한 분리막의 표면 개질 기술을 소개하였으며 이를 이용하여 개질된 리튬이온 전지용 분리막을 활용한 연구 동향을 요약, 정리하였다. 또한 이를 기반으로 표면 개질에 따른 분리막에대한 향후 전망을 논의하였다.
